We brought up a list of examples and asked them to fix them before we took delivery, they were Not very happy about this and told us they were too busy but would get around to it after lunch, (it was 9:00am) About 3:20pm they had a few items semi corrected and said that's all they could do. They beat the prices in New York by about $2,300, and they are beating the prices of the other trailer companies in their area by about $900 for this trailer. Cheryl was outstanding and took care of most of the ordering and financial details over the phone and through email and text. I met Garrett when I was there and he took care to show me everything about the trailer and answered all my questions and got me all set up and on the road. My trailer was ordered from dealer in FL. Received it at dealer and window frame was damaged, bent,…read morescratched and beat with hammer. Window leaks and also had open screw holes. Fender was not attached on one side and held on by just 1 screw with several holes in trailer siding. Tongue was spray painted black and parts were unpainted and peeling up. Tongue and rear propane cage rusted after 3 weeks. Contacted Douglas Trailers multiple times, employee turnover is an issue. Company does not want to work on issues unless I miss work and drive 12 hours to take it and then get hotel room for a couple days while they work on it, all out of pocket costs to me. Asked them to send new window and I would have it installed here and they would not. Asked if they could send a driver to get it and they would not. Sent them photos of damages that were taken by the dealer and were dated and time stamped, proving trailer was delivered with damages. Douglas Trailers does not produce quality work. All damages were result of poor installation and failure to use due care. They boast about producing 20 trailers a day, but they are knocking these things out and hole punching them as quickly as they can and slopping them together very poorly. Pride of craftsmanship is clearly lacking, meanwhile the concession trailers are the faces of our business and first impressions matter. Reputation apparently does not matter to them, as long as they are collecting that dollar! I will NEVER recommend this company and encourage buyers to purchase elsewhere.
