Never have I ever felt more informed and in good hands than at M&R! Family run business that surpasses any auto shop, engine repair, or custom automotive upgrades like this place! Miguel & Miguel Jr are top rated mechanics with the ultimate team to get the job done. Showed up to thier place with a blown out engine and issues from front to rear. Just a few things to list was airbox issue, transmission leak, oil leaks, blown engine due to turbo blow out, she was a huge wreck, got the truck online to help me move, ebay truck = bad idea. M&R made my 2007 dodge ram 5.9l diesel roar as quickly as possible! From M&R I drove that truck directly to LA towing an empty 20 foot trailer. Once I packed up and loaded the trailer and truck i drove from LA to Montana at max capacity weight 3 times round trip! Also drove her to Minnesota twice! Not one issue since M&R!! I'd done business with them before and I was trusting of them so I had no issue taking my only vehicle there. I expressed that I had a procedure in Jacksonville the next day and needed to leave by 6. It was 4 when I got there. When he called and told me my truck was ready, I asked him was he sure I'll be okay. He stated he'd driven it around and he got the air bubbles out the coolant. I was confident I could drive safe now. Boy was I wrong. 7 miles outside of Jacksonville my engine light started flashing and I heard gurgling. My engine overheated and it was getting dark. Terrified, I didn't know what to do. I immediately called him. Voicemail wasn't set up so I texted him. I was ignored. I was alone and stranded and missed my entire procedure. The next day, he still never bothered to call. It was the Florida state patrol that saved me and towed my truck in. The state mechanic told me there was no way anyone removed the air pockets from my coolant. I was deeply saddened and disappointed. I texted him again today to give him an opportunity to explain this. Still ignored. It was a $65 lesson in trust that I learned the hard way. I just marked them off my list and will find someone I can trust who doesn't just take my money and refuse to make it right. I will never go there again. The sad part is I respected them so much and wanted to support their business.

Moving is super stressful, especially when it's sudden and your vehicle isn't running. The biggest thing next to moving alone and without my vehicle, was my concern about getting it to my new home. After losing my mind trying to get help from friends with trucks, I decided to find a company that specializes in personal tows. Most companies won't answer, or they only accept cash and refuse to give you a quote over the phone, and worst of all, nickel and dime you to death. NOT these guys! They answered AS SOON AS I called. They totally listened as I explained my situation in the spirit of transparency. I'd totally disconnected my electrical system during repairs and my part would not be here for weeks, so I thought for sure they would say no or give me a high quote. Not only did they say they were available IMMEDIATELY, but when I told them I had no way over there, the gentleman I spoke with told me to simply be at the corner store and he took me along so we could get my truck. We were literally en route within 5 minutes of me calling! His friendliness put my mind at ease and his skills and handling of my vehicle made my jaw drop. He was able to power up my truck (I have a smart truck which is totally computerized) even though I had disconnected it's electrical system! He got it done in a "swoop", all while telling me humorous stories about his experience as a tow driver that I'd asked about. Aside from all this, they have top notch equipment and are obviously trained to operate it with precision. We were literally in and out with my truck safely aboard in less than 10 minutes! He even asked me how I wanted my truck positioned in my driveway once we arrived to my new place. In short, I was SUPER stressed about my truck being over there at my old place and getting it over here. A1 has put that stress to rest. They are 200% approachable, personable, professional and responsive, as well as affordable. They will be the FIRST I call going forward. Do yourself a favor...if you need help with your vehicle and are worried about reaching a reputable, experienced towing company that is responsive and prompt, call A1. They are the FIRST towing company I've ever done business with that treat you like a customer, not a quote. Kindness and empathy goes a long way with me. These guys put a huge amount of my stress to rest after an otherwise painful and sudden move. After today, they are the only towing company I'll call. I just wanted to share my experience because I don't wish the stress of worrying about your vehicle on anyone, so if this review helps one person in choosing who to call for safe transport of their vehicle, then that's good enough for me.
