Me and my wife ordered dinners waitress asked what we wanted for two sides we order we get the bill and then they charge us a dollar for getting broccoli instead of a baked potato , my wife got mashed potatoes and green beans with her steak and a charge a dollar to sub the green beans in which we don't understand. We told the waitress The mashed potatoes had a sour taste . The waitress said she would tell the kitchen and she took them, but never brought us a side back, and when we got the bill and asked about the dollar charge, she says do you want me to get a manager? We said no we were gonna argue about a dollar but there should not have been a dollar up charge for getting green beans and broccoli they were regular sides. But the loaded fries were great as always , we been here many times and never been up charge for our sides unless we got premium sides , which we didn't this time, I use to upgrade to asparagus but it's no longer on the menu , so just got regular sides read more

Well, tried to eat there but couldn't the hostess was having a bad day before I got there. I asked for a booth and I could tell she was not happy about that for some reason and she said "I'll try". So she takes us to a half booth. My husband is a bigger person and he does not feel comfortable at those small tables, so I said, we can't sit here,we'll have to leave if this is all you have. We could see plenty of empty booths and she said that we had to sit in this particular servers section. I said sorry and was walking out, when my husband said couldn't the server walk an extra 10 feet and she said not if you already have 30 tables you can't. There was no way one server had 30 tables. The waitress is probably a college girl--very nice. Brought rolls and drinks as soon as we ordered (those good yeasty rolls). I ordered 14.00 Pork Chops (w sweet potato & asparagus). Hubs ordered 23.00 rack of ribs (mashed taters & broccoli). We each got soft drinks. Today is hubs birthday-she says he will get an "ice cream surprise". We are here in the early part of the evening 4:15 pm. In the back room with only one other table. Very relaxed atmosphere-a little dark in here, but laid back. Ribs were good and saucy. Pork chops nicely grilled--almost tasted like steak. (Only issue--I didn't know there was cheese on the asparagus and hubs said mashed potatoes were "odd". Gathered here for a large(ish) family meal. My family, my brothers' and my parents. We had reservations which I highly recommend and were immediately seated as we arrived on time. The place was packed and had a lot of folks enjoying themselves. The staff was good, prompt and attentive. I think the leadership/management of the place must be doing a decent job. It was right down the fairway of solidly good food. I started with a cup of soup (loaded potato) which I enjoyed. They also put out some baskets of freshly baked rolls which hit the spot. I enjoyed the cinnamon butter with it. For the meal I had the fried catfish. Wow! That was a lot with three fillets on there. Couldn't finish them all. We had a wonderful waitress but she was so busy and she forgot us in a few things. We had a long time waiting for our food, very long. My fillet medallions were really really hard on the outside and were very dry for a cooked medium. The place was dirty and the tables were not being bused. Our waitress said there were a lot of people that came in at the same time, so I guess we can understand them not being cleaned. I'm giving them a rating of two and that is for the waitress even though she forgot us. But I had the best cooked brocolli with a little bit of cheese on top. read more

The prices are steep for what you are getting. 20 dollars for catfish is absurd, considering it was greasy and the seasoning was just not very satisfying. By far, one of the best dining experiences we have had in Wise. Went on a Friday night, parking lot was packed. Inside was plenty of room though. Did not wait for a table. Ask our waitress, Anngel for recommendations, she said steak, but then also added Monterey Chicken. I tend not to order steak out, but all 3 of us went with her suggestion. We each ordered a different cut. So glad! It was all cooked to perfection! We got the garlic butter, mushrooms & onions to top, then tons of sides. Broccoli, cole slaw, Mac-n-cheese, sweet potato and soup. We loved every bit of it. Topped it off w the bourbon pecan pie and blackberry cider. Two more of Anngel's suggestions. We will be back. Called in to go order 8:49pm Catfish dinner Asparagus Mashed potato's Salad The worst meal I've ever ate LITERALLY. I travel & eat 300 days out of the year & eat different locations frequently. this was the worst food ever !! The 3 fillets of catfish had to have OVER 1 tablespoon of salt per filet. Not even highly salty. MEGA salted someone did this on purpose & knew it. The asparagus was raw with slim !!! The salad was huge chunks of brown lettuce. I wish I was joking. This was an excellent little stop in VA. I particularly liked the French fries - thick (like, steak fries), lightly salted, and accompanied perfectly with honey mustard sauce. So I'm in Wise for the week, staying in the hotel across the parking lot. The lady at the front desk recommends this place when I ask about a bar. So I head over. Granted it's 10pm and the letters emblazoned on the door say they close at 11. I walk in and the nice girl at the podium says it's cool for me to head to the bar. The bar tender, who was sitting around the table with her colleagues lazily drags herself around the bar and asks what I like. Cute girl, could use a smile lesson. Anyhow, I'm hungry and ask if I can order an appitizer. After a blatant exhale she says under her breath... "i guess, but only apps." What kind of southern charm is this. I guess when in the back woods all the courtesy and smiles go out the pickup trucks window. I suppose people dont rely on tips either. read more

It's an ok place to eat but for a steak place their steak isn't very good. Would suggest the pork chops as they are pretty great and I'm not a fan of pork chops. They have redone their menu and removed a lot of the food that was actually good like the potato casserole. read more

This restaurant was very clean. The staff was nice as well. Our waitress waited on us very efficiently. For an appetizer we got the onion, which was very hard to tear apart(it tasted good though.) I ordered the filet medallions for an entree(tasted good but the portion was light.) Let me start by saying the entrance into the front of the restaurant had visible dirt and debris in the floor. A child was running through the restaurant and was even in the kitchen. They were not crowded, but we waited approximately 40 minutes or longer For our food. When it arrived it was cold. the serving size of the teriyaki chicken was very small, mashed potatoes were so salty, they could not be consumed. We won't be eating here again. Also, the waitress did not understand when she took our drink order what a half cut tea was, I explained, I wanted half sweet and half not. She brought us half sweet and half water. read more
