Purchased a 2008 KIA, paid top dollar for it. Found several defects that were safety issues…read moreincluding rear brakes and front struts. Somehow he got it inspected illegally(?) but I still insisted he fix these issues. Instead of having mechanic do it he told me he fixed it himself at home. All he did was clean them and made them shiny-rear brakes haven't worked in a long time and the struts that he replaced he also just cleaned. 1600 dollars later we finally got it inspected the following year. Had to use a different mechanic even though he said his mechanic will fix it for half the labor-30 usd an hour. Problem is the mechanic left and we were stuck taking it to another mechanic. I took the Automotive Dreams sticker off and threw it away. I feel used and cheep-used to consider myself car savvy but not anymore after getting duped in this KIA.

When I pulled into the lot I saw a truck that looked similar to what was pictured, except it was in deplorable shape - rust, flat tire, huge dents, etc. It looked like something that should be out dying on the back 40. I laughed thinking "maybe that's it, for the price." I asked about it and was ushered upstairs to Scott, who was on the phone at a huge desk with two large pit bulls by his side. Honestly, it was like something from a B movie. I asked about the advertised truck and he yelled "JUNK! It's junk! You know how when you're looking for a house and they only take pictures of the good side and don't show you where the truck drove through the house on the other side? It's like that. The truck is a piece of crap." I was astonished. He was acting as if the "bait" he put on the internet was somehow placed in his ad by someone else. The wreck I saw on my way in was indeed the truck in the ad. Only not. Apparently a stock photo of the make, year and model was used rather than the actual vehicle. Unbelievable.

Then my daughter found this business on Google, told me they had a 5-star rating, so I gave them a call - at 10:00 in the morning, and I had to be at work at 4:00. They towed my car, fixed the problem, and I made it to work with 20 minutes to spare. Really nice people, too. By the way, they charged me only about half of what I thought I would be spending. I won't even bother calling anyone else from now on.
