Their estimate was in the middle of the 3 we received, but $2,000 higher than the roofing company we hired to install our new roof. When I texted Rhett to tell him we had gone with a roofing company whose estimate was more budget friendly for us, within moments I received a hard sell text telling me how the brand of shingles they used were far superior to any other brand of shingles out there and that I needed to consider that in making my decision. Believe me since this was the first new roof on my house in 25+ years I did my research on shingle brands and didn't choose a roofing company using some bargain basement brand of shingles! That $2,000 we saved is now more money that we are able to spend on other needed house projects.

Besides our exterior walls, Bill and his team designed a half-wall with cedar board complimented with new Anderson windows. The new design allowed us to create a relaxing sunroom that overlooks our new landscaped garden. Oh, did I tell you that we were presented with a computer-generated design with the ability to edit? This made it very easy for me to understand and "see" the project. In addition to the Hardy board installation, Bill and his team created a new exterior entry to a breezeway reading room was stunning-----now with the new hardscape, it IS STUNNING and really shows how Bill understood the vision we had. After the dust settled, Bill maintained an open communication with us. And this has proven valuable. Anytime you have a large project like this, you will encounter punch-list items. So many people have had challenges after a project is done. Not with Hatch Homes. Bill informed me that his Project Manager Patrick O. would be in contact. My meeting with Patrick was truly a blessing. Not only did he agree with the issues that I needed some correction due to items shifting, he also eyed some minor finds that will be corrected. There was nothing that Hatch Homes did not take ownership----and their goal is quite simple: Keep the Wow Factor. Patrick really impressed me. He is licensed in the electrical, plumbing, HVAC trade and maintains certification in many other disciplines. When you invest in a vendor who will create the dream home renovation, you want to make sure your dollars are well-spent and the end-result is what you expected. We are proud to say that we continue to get more than expected. In my opinion, the Follow-Up/Punch-List phase really differentiates those who are dedicated to their craftsmanship and take care of their customers. Due…read moreto price constraints of insurance only covering our interior repairs costs due to a roof leak, we had to stretch our budget and found a slightly better quote. However, I thought it necessary to give Matt at Evergreen a big shout-out for his estimate process on 9/11/18 for several highlighted reasons: 1) Aside from the roofer we went with, Matt was the only other one who investigated the leak from the inside. I had offered the same option to the first 2 companies who gave estimates, & even to the insurance company's roof inspector, but all declined. Plus, Matt asked about looking at the interior of the leak area before I even advised of the crawlspace option. 2) Matt only sold me on fixing just the leaky area and resulting rot, rather than re-flashing the whole roof line, which had been the go-to (and more expensive) fix thrown out by others. 3) Matt was generous enough to throw together a makeshift patch while he was there, since Hurricane Florence was approaching that weekend and we weren't going to be able to get the leak fixed ahead of the storm. 4) Above all, Matt was nice and respectful, and gave off a very trustworthy vibe just from a few minutes of interaction. A re-read of his other reviews showed many experiences similar to mine with above & beyond work, but without overselling or fixing unnecessary things. Although we didn't go with Matt for our project, you can feel confident if you choose him for your roofing needs!

We texted & called them to help & they said it would be $3400 to repair it. We posted a negative review & they offered to fix it as they wanted our review to go away. We appreciate them agreeing to fix it at no cost but then their top roofer didn't fix it properly (see video). The owner assured us the job was done right this time but we learned in conversations they did not put flashing on our roof & didn't repair any with the new roof either. Two months after the attempted repair the leaking got worse so we contacted other contractors to assess & learned they just piled up sealant & added a screw (see video). Now we have to pay $6500 to repair it. Mike McNally is ignoring my calls as is his son. We selected them over another roofer & we regret it. No flashing. Just slapping down shingles. Ridiculous. Incompetent. Nice people but this is wrong.
