After spending way too much time meeting with window companies I finally found what I was looking for- best windows from the best company. Salesman was very patient, friendly and knowledgeable. He was not pushy at all. They were more money than the other cheapo companies that tried to sell me subpar vinyl windows. My new windows gave fibrex frames. My brother lives in Clearwater, Florida. His living room window sustained damage during a hurricane last year . He saw an ad ( who hasn't) for Renewal by Anderson and called them . A representative came out to give him a price and he signed a contract. The price was more than $14,000. Fortunately we talk every day and when I heard the price, I asked if it was from Renewal by Anderson and , of course the answer was yes. Companies like Renewal by Anderson rely on the fact that a lot of people have no idea what things cost. I did a Google search for Window manufacturers and installers in my Brother's area and came up with three companies. My brother got a price from one company for less than half of what Anderson wanted. My advice is always get three estimates and by all means, check the company's reviews on Yelp. Be smart, don't be robbed. My last employer in Connecticut had the license to sell the Renewal by Anderson windows and gave it up because he said that people would never get a payback because of the ridiculous price. We live in Bradenton Fl near the coast and needed a bay window replaced to meet insurance requirements. Our research and DD led us to Andersen and we purchased a $9500 window August 2024 , it took 4 months to get the window installed and when they did they asked for final payment before they were inspected and then the window install failed the inspection. Once we notified them of the issue it took 45 days to rectify the issue and when they did the installer scratched the new window, that now needs repair. Today is March 20,2025 and we are still waiting for the window installation to be completed. We would not recommend this company or it's windows to anyone, they are not worth the cost or the aggravation. There is no value here. We would love our money back. read more

Absolute WORST company I've done business with. The sales rep was told the replacement windows and doors had to be identical to what was here as I live in a condo. He told me what I needed to hear, NOT THE TRUTH. The product was different when it was delivered and I can't use the product yet they still want me to pay for it even though I was lied to. They have ZERO customer service. I was transferred repeatedly to voicemail which was never returned. They are the most expensive company. We are paying for all their national advertising. Salesman really knew how to sell it but the rest of the process has been terrible. Had 13 windows replaced, one was broken. They installed it anyway. I finally got the window replaced. Same day the supervisor came out to ensure it was done right and finalize paperwork. Now im waiting on my county inspection for over a month and no one can seem to give me an update. Liars! We wanted "heat resistant" windows. Keeping the heat out! This was our sole reason for replacing our windows. The salesman who sold us the "heat resistant" windows, conveniently doesn't work for the company any more. Our upstairs window is above our pool. We were told it would be no problem installing it and our pool screen would not need to be cut. Well, the installers couldn't do it without cutting the screen. They had to come back. Another group of installers came and put it in no problem without cutting the screen. So that's the positive. The inspector came to inspect the windows. The bathroom was not tempered glass. So we had to have it replaced with the correct glass. It took another 8 weeks. We originally had the windows installed in July 2025. It is now March 2026 and my so-called "heat resistant" window installed has not been replaced. They came out in January and did a heat test. Our house was set at 73 degrees my bedroom was at 82 degrees. Clearly not keeping the heat out. I was told in January that the window would be reordered, that this was the wrong window. I got a call today saying they have to come out again and do a heat test. All lies. One after another. Terrible communication with other departments in the company and the consumer. Do yourself a favor, go with different company. We thought Andersen was the best. We were clearly wrong. read more

Well, Renewal by Anderson, you asked for a review and here it is. In May 2025, we contracted with you to replace 3 sliding glass doors to prevent the recurrence of flood water intrusion into our home as happened during Hurricane Milton. In that we wanted to convert 2 of the sliders into windows to better protect our home, you suggested that we use our own builder to make the necessary structural changes. In July, you provided our builder with the dimensions and specifications, and he carried out the changes for you. You also explained that you would take care of the necessary permitting with the county. Instead, you applied for a "Like for like - no structural changes needed" permit. Of course, the inspection failed because the inspector could see that structural changes had indeed been made. When we brought this to your attention, you claimed that you had a team working on it. As a matter of fact, we contacted you multiple times and you repeatedly stated that you had a team working on it. When it was clear that no one was actually working on it, our builder contacted the county and you. You agreed to have the necessary drawings made to accompany the corrected permit. You told the builder that you had done so and called for another inspection. Of course, it failed again because you had not submitted the necessary drawings. We then had to pay an architect out of pocket for drawings and for a corrected permit. As of October 2025, the height of hurricane season, our home was unfinished and prone to water intrusion until the job could pass inspection and be finished. The inspector came out a third time, and the job would have failed again had our builder not been there to complete the install - apparently you did not put enough screws in to meet code. Once the final inspection passed, you did not come out to finish the trim. You asked our builder to finish that for you rather than have you come out to complete your job. He did most of it, but the wrong pieces had been delivered which did not fit properly. We alerted you to this fact and requested service multiple times. Once again, you said that you had a team on it, but no one ever showed up. This is very disappointing. Since then, we have received numerous requests from you to consider purchasing more windows and for us to give you a review, but we wanted to wait until the job was done so we wouldn't have to give as terrible a review but here we are (March 2026) with an incomplete job. While you may have a wonderful product, you have lousy customer service, and we will never purchase anything from you again nor will we recommend you to anyone else. read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND: I had my sliding glass door installed over a year ago, and I'm still waiting for my hurricane protection panels. After two months of no updates, I reached out to Anderson, only to find out that they never ordered the panels. When they were finally ordered, the panels arrived in the wrong size, leading to another long wait for re-ordering. Today was the scheduled installation day for the correctly-sized panels, but the installers never showed up and didn't bother to call me. I contacted the company for an explanation but received none, only a vague promise that someone would get back to me in a few days. A year after my door installation and still no hurricane panels that I've already paid for... This entire experience has been a complete nightmare. I am so sick of this horrible company. I contacted them in March 2025 about getting hurricane windows. We met with them, agreed on what we needed and how they had to look for our homeowners association. We were given the correct measurements , etc and said fine go ahead . However, they were to give us a 25% discount (still have not done this). We tried to contact them numerous times about various issues and would not hear back for months at a time. Finally, they were to put the windows in at the end of August 2025. However, they were not ready and did not get some of them put in until September 29th. However, they still had 3 more windows to put in. About a month later they put one more window in. Then, we find out that they had not made the one window and that they now would not be able to make the other window. They made one of the windows wrong(and not to the specs we saw) and but they had brought one(and the window that was there was ready to fall out), we had them put the window they brought in. The plan was for them to swap it out once the made the one for that window. This was to happen in November, was delayed until December. Then., we get a call that they would not be able to make the one window and would not give us an answer on the other one. Then, in January 2026(almost a year after our first meeting with their sales reps), we get a call from a corporate person who would not even let my husband speak and kept talking over him. Now, they still have not mentioned about the one window they were to have been making since September and they are telling us that they are still charging us for the windows that we will not be receiving. (This is theft) . In addition, even though we told them in March of 2025, that as long as they were made from the specs we had in the contract that it would be fine with our homeowners association, they are blaming us for the one window that they now claim they can't make . The only reason I went with this company was they were (according to their ads on TV), great at coordinating with all the departments at Renewal by Anderson. This has not been the case and I really don't appreciate them now stealing our money by not refunding the money for the windows we will not be getting. In addition, our house has been in chaos since September 2025, as we have had to pack things up and move things so they could get to the windows . Further, we can't get the windows inspected by the city and approved until all the windows are in. This issue needs resolved by us getting the 25% (we deserve more at this point) discount and have the 2 windows removed from what we owe them and then I never want to hear about Renewal from Anderson the rest of my life. This has been an unpleasant experience We have waited over nine months to get them installed. They install them they were missing trim on the sliding doors. We have now waited six months to get the trim installed around the patio doors and not to mention the installers were messy and not protecting the floors. I would not recommend this company. Salesman did his job well, and we ordered all new replacement windows for our condo. $30k dollars later I would not recommend this company. We felt with a National Brand like Anderson we were in good hands. We had used Anderson for new home construction with great success, the Renewal by Anderson is NOT the same dependable service. After 3 different people measuring, windows still came in with incorrect measurements. We took time off from work, traveled to Florida for installation date, only to find out the job couldn't be done. Needed to be re-measured and re-ordered. Spoke immediately to office and said we felt there should be compensation for our travel based on their mistake. Windows were reordered. 6 months later, we traveled again to our condo for installation, day of installation they said they were incorrect measurements and windows were missing?! You can only imagine our frustration as we have had boarded up windows since Hurricane Milton. I could go on and on. The most horrible customer service! Still no resolution on compensation for travel, windows finally were installed after a year 1/2. We received a notice from forklift company saying we were liable for their bill, really I could go on and on!!! You can not get a straight answer from anyone, spend less on TV commercials and more on quality employees! read more

As a midwestern / Great Lakes family, Andersen Windows are known to be some of the best in the industry, and we still believe in the product. However, the installation vendors in the Tampa / Orlando metro markets leave much to be desired, and if we were to go back in time, I'd run away from them like a scalded dog. Renewal by Andersen has saturated the Tampa market with advertising citing they provide White Glove and Signature service with employee installers and a premium experience. They charge an excess of $110 per square foot ABOVE any other provider in the market for non-Impact / non-Hurriance Andersen Acclaim series (equates to Andersen 100 series) windows for the product, and this service. Their impact windows are 2x that price premium. After experiencing the RbA "difference", I'm left wondering whose signature for their service was used, and what type of glove (because it felt like dry latex vs the expected velvet experience). I do not recommend JLM Windows LLC dba "Renewal By Andersen Tampa" to anyone for anything. Their installers are all 1099 contractors that JLM engages full time (they are not W2 employees). Sadly, the contract crew was the best part of the experience. JLM could fire 80% of their staff, reduce useless overhead, and offer a more competitive price in the market and the homeowner would be none the wiser. As a kicker, they missed two windows for replacement, as did we, and we've chosen to install CWS Impact windows through another provider instead for those final two replacements as we will never give another dime to JLM Windows (Jared L. Mellick) again. A few highlights of service experienced below. - The sales call was focused on first visit closure with a 5% rebate for signing that same day. The salesperson made commitments that windows could be installed without hurricane shutter removal both at time of contract signing, and with a follow-on onsite visit during the 3-day contract recision period via FaceTime with a Renewal By Andersen engineer. We had signed the contract under the condition that the Bertha HV Accordion shutters did not have to be removed, and we were assured that was the case (turns out it wasn't true) - Measurement Lead (and a trainee) arrived onsite 1 month after contract signing and mis-measured several openings. The onsite team was able to make 90% of the windows work with demolition. Today, we still have (1) crescent window above the front door with a 2-3" gap at the bottom that is wider than Michael Strahan's front teeth and are pending someone to come out and do a secondary measurement for replacement. - As part of the order, they assign a "concierge" to provide you updates, answer any questions, and generally assist as the customer moves through the process. We received an introductory call, and updates about window build timings / onsite dates. However, the concierge does not return phone calls (2 separate occasions) and provides little value in that we saw the updates on the portal well ahead of any notifications. I feel like I'm still waiting for the proverbial hotel bathrobe / slippers and have missed our evening dinner as the concierge was elsewhere. - There was a noted 1 month gap from time of window completion until installation. I was told this was due to the Minnesota factory not shipping out the windows for a month. However, factory floor space costs money and I'm more inclined to believe the JLM Windows simply couldn't support the schedule for a month. Regardless of which version is correct, product arrived onsite with missing inventory that had to be shored up during the installation process. Given the 1 month timing delta, that should not have happened. - The installation was quoted as 2 days for (9) Windows and (1) patio door and did not account for removal of hurricane accordion shutters covering (8) windows. The actual time onsite required was (5) days total as the team had to remove the Bertha HV shutters and replace them in order to install the windows. - The permit was filed with inspections to be done by an online provider with inspection via a video walkthrough - not a certified county inspector onsite. Additionally, RbA refused to adjust the permit to include removal/replacement of the shutters. As a homeowner, I watched the install and "think" we're good - but have no third party validation protection of same. - Aside from the poorly fitting foyer window, all others were done exceedingly well. The installation contractor (Dustin Flynn, Gaurdian Expert Consulting) and his team did a phenomenal job and we highly recommend them for all Window/Door work. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They do not honor their contracts and do not answer ANY attempts to contact them. Customer service is horrible! Hired them to change my front door. The first door installed, had incorrect glass panels and the new handle was not delivered with the order. The tech ran to Home Depot and installed a basic one (because they disposed of the old one) while we waited for the new door and handle. They brought out the new door and it too had incorrect glass panels and still no handle. Called the sales guy Dorian, no response. Called the area manager, Shaun and was told to contact the sales guy, he was the only one that can help me. Really? Called my "Signature Service Representative" contact, Lexanna, no response. Emails to all of them, no replies. Original contract: March 2024, today is January 12, 2025. Almost a year later and I still do not have the correct door or handle, living with paper taped over the windows for privacy and no information if the correct door is even ordered or if I'm just screwed! I guess it becomes a legal issue now. Also, I agreed to use their finance company, GreenSky, as they offered one year without interest. After the first, incorrect door was installed, GreenSky gave them half their money. I attempted to stop that payment by calling GreenSky and they do not give me any resolution either. read more

We received a quote from Renewal by Andersen of Florida, from Tampa, Alan,Laz, salespeople used extortion tactics to pressure an 84-year-old widow flooded out by Hurricane Helene to sign a contract that was way beyond her ability to afford, They were called to the flood out house that is torn apart from the storm and asked to help fix the door handles on the front doors, having trouble locking, that was it !!! The sales slime said " IF YOU DON'T BUY NEW BACK DOORS WE WILL NOT FIX YOUR DOOR LOCKS " Not knowing any better and desperate for help she signed and gave them $$$ 10,000.00 deposit on a $$$$23,000.00 order,2 doors,1 opening, 2 door handles, wow, after telling her family and friends about this the order was canceled, before the cut-off time, according to their rules, now they are Harassing the poor widow via text, we also ask they not contact us, we are going to call the police, if you want Andersen products call someone else, We have also contacted sales boss , Laura Pittman , so far she has not been any help, we have also contacted Andersen and Renewal by Andersen Corp. My dad passed away unexpectedly at the end of October. He was in the process of getting new windows in his condo with Renewal by Anderson. He has already paid them 18, 000. We called and let them know of my dad's passing and asked if we could get a refund.  I do not live in Florida anymore and it would be hard for me to be there for this type of project. That agreed to give us the refund and were very nice in the beginning. I gave them some time for the refund because the hurricanes just hit, and I knew they would be busy.  Fast forward to today, numerous phone calls to them. They said it was being processed in April. Called them again a month later because we have received nothing and no updates. I continued to call, and they said the people I needed to talk to were in a meeting and would call me back. There were never any return calls. I finally got to talk to someone who was going to send an email to accounting, never heard back so I sent an email asking for an update. He said he didn't hear back from accounting and was going to send another email to accounting with a manager attached to the email. He also said that they refunded $800 but never received anything and he said that the numbers don't match up. I never got a follow up so I sent another email saying I was NOT putting the blame on him but if something wasn't resolved soon, I would have to get small claims court involved. I have heard absolutely nothing since then. read more

BUYER BEWARE! In April, more than a year after my purchase, installers came to fit my window for the third time, and yet again, the incorrect glass was used during manufacturing. After the initial installation, I pointed out to Joshua Sandoval that the glass did not match the samples shown by our salesman, Jeff Rodon. It turned out that I did not receive the SmartSun glass I was promised, which provides maximum UV protection. Joshua assured me they would order the correct glass and replace it without altering the frame. Reluctantly, I agreed to sign off and paid for the window. When the new glass arrived, the Renewal by Andersen team attempted to install it. Though the correct SmartSun glass was delivered, they couldn't remove the original glass from the frame due to a manufacturing error with the frame itself (as told to me by a Renewal by Andersen installer). I was informed that the entire window needed to be remanufactured and that the order would be expedited. During this second attempt, they dismantled the outer and inner framing and used Andersen logo tape to secure the glass, which was an unsightly solution I endured for six months. However, the window installed in April 2024, over a year after the contract was signed, still did not have the SmartSun glass. After 13 months, the correct, more expensive window has not been installed, leaving me extremely frustrated and disappointed with Renewal by Andersen. At this point, I do not wish to undergo another installation. I am requesting a refund. I have been trying to work with Customer Service for two months without making any progress. read more

We initially placed an order for replacement of all windows and laundry room door on August 17, 2022. While the install was delayed due to a missing door, the process began on December 13, 2022. Following, there were at least three no shows of Renewal representatives with the insect screens, hurricane shutters and brackets for the shutters. The office shutters were ultimately delivered on January 16, 2023. The office window insect screens (meaning the windows could not be opened) and the resized laundry room door shutters and wingnuts were delivered January 27, 2023, six weeks after install. Clearly a failure to timely complete the work, as well as a breakdown in communication. We placed our second order for oversized sliders on September 15, 2022. There were no issues during install on March 13, 2023. We were told the inspector had signed off on the sliders without coming to the house, yet he arrived a week later after completion of painting, unaware we'd been informed by Renewal that the project had been signed off on appropriately. Following, Renewal representatives did not arrive to perform the trim install until April 6, 2023, after at least one no show. Again, a failure to complete work and a lack of communication. Given our pleasure with the look of the sliders (but before the inspection/follow up problems), we signed the contract ordering the remaining four doors on March 16, 2023. Money was withdrawn from our account on March 22, 2023. Our personal project manager reached out to Renewal to check the status of the doors initially on March 21, with no response. She contacted Joe Hendricks on April 12, 2023 and again on April 13, 2023, again with no response. Stephen called us on Friday April 14 to advise the doors needed to be remeasured before being ordered, giving no real reason. At no point did he return calls or emails. We were present when Colby measured initially on March 13, 2023 and again for remeasure on Wednesday April 19, 2023, almost one month after money was requested and received by Renewal. No doors had yet been ordered. We have requested information on timing of delivery from Stephen and others, but have been ignored or put off for not just days or weeks, but now a month This is our third project with this franchise; at every turn there has been a significant issue with communication and failure to timely complete work. Frankly, at this point, it is clear this franchise is not professional nor ethical. It is disheartening to experience this level of incompetence from a company which produces a stellar product. We have requested earlier delivery of our last four doors or e refund of the deposit, with the response being we would hear from the sales department about cancellation. It has been a week and we have had no response. This is their response to a homeowner who has spent over $100k with their franchise. read more

I would select 0 if I could. We started a 2 phase project, 10 windows, ordered in Feb of 2024, and plans to install another 10 windows in 2025. Initial install was 1st week of July, discovered issues with 6 of the windows and have only been able to resolve one issue. They have sent different representatives to our home at least 5 times to verify we were telling the truth about the issues we, and the original installers, saw with the windows. In addition to being different individuals every time, they missed appointments, provided no communication, and all stated they will "get this fixed ASAP". The installers for one replacement finished, and requested we store 2 replacement windows because they didn't bring the appropriate ladders/scaffolding to install them. We are still waiting to hear from the company about the three remaining issues and the reinstallations for both the 2 we have stored and the 2 which have not been addressed. As you would expect, Phase 2 is now down the tubes and we would just like for them to complete Phase 1 sometime within, let's say, the next year or two. read more

I recently had all my windows replaced by Anderson. They did an excellent job from the very first contact. Someone called every two weeks to update me on progress and see if I had any questions or concerns. My installer, Tomas, and his co-worker were very courteous and mindful of my belongings. They moved furniture that I could not move myself. They did an excellent job on the windows and and cleanup after. Justin was the project manager for my job and he was also courteous and answered any questions I had. J highly recommend this company for new windows. read more

I made an appointment online, which was acknowledged by Anderson. After they called for confirmation and left a message, I returned the call and hung up after no answer. The next day (today) Anderson called (407 AC) and I returned the call. The person that answered did not know what I was calling about, after explaining, the lady said she would have to transfer me to "confirmations". After waiting about 6 minutes a lady came on the line and I confirmed the appointment. Later Anderson called yet again, I confirmed, yet again. A couple of hours later, they called again and I confirmed, again and told them that I would be here for the appointment, if they showed up. Finally I received this text: "Hi John, this is Renewal by Andersen Florida. Unfortunately we have been unsuccessful in reaching you to confirm your appointment. We have cancelled your appointment, please call (407) 594-5722 to reschedule. Thank you! ". There is no chance that I will ever do business with people that are this incompetent. read more

Bought 4 windows in Feb 2022, first they made and installed the wrong windows. It's been a year and a half and they still are not completed. They remade the windows but 3 of the 4 only open 3/4's of the way, then fall down a few inches. They have the worst customer service, or should I say, NO customer service. We contacted what's supposed to be The Best windows and doors in the market. Based on what we researched, the product is outstanding. The sales person was, well, a salesperson. Nice, talkative, engaging. After trying to push for a $30K sliding door, as if that was their only product, we finally got her to show us a good product for a lot less than that... That's normal for a sales pitch. That was back in Jun 2022. We finally got the doors in six month later, and one was damaged. They ordered a new doors, another wait, and when it finally arrived, the door was in worst condition than the original. Another wait, and we received a call asking us when were we going to make the final payment. When we told them to check the record, they have not even ordered the door yet. they offered $500.00 off the $16K bill if we kept it. Not only they have cost us days off work, but the offer was insulting. We are now waiting for yet another door. Great product, the service and communication has been awful, and insulting.. Where do I start? They have lied from the beginning and have them in emails. Claim they applied for the permit 3 weeks before they actually did. Public record.!they cancelled install claiming they had to wait on permit. I called county permit office to find out permit had just been applied for and was ready. I had to infor Anderson and boom they were ready to schedule within next 2 days. Install date comes and get a phone call that they have to reschedule due to weather yet it was only cloudy here. Now waiting 2 weeks for trim. They say they don't keep it in stock being brown. Wtf? They're the manufacturers and they had the order for 5 months! Salesman ordered wrong door and then tries to show me the contract with images that are very vague. They rescheduled my install dates 4 times then a 1 day install turned into 3 and now it's been almost 3 weeks and still not finished. No way of contacting corporate directly. Was going to settle for them to pay for blinds but they won't respond. Could install blinds myself, but they claim it will void the warranty. I have a front door with no blinds so all can see directly in my home! Not what I or any normal person would order. Getting ready to file class action lawsuit as they required full payment up front do to being custom doors. Almost 40,000 on 3 doors and they think the customer has no recourse. So much for them being the manufacturer and the installers as they claim! Still get the run around. Tops and sides of new doors not caulked to the wall to fill in the gaps!
