After seeing those darn commercials about how these chips can quickly turn in to full blow San Andreas cracks (it's happened to me), I decided to nip it in the bud and take my car in for a fixin'. Now what's the deal with "rock chip repair for free" business?? (I know you've seen the signs) Well, basically you go into glass place, and have their insurance pay. That's all fine and good, but this would be a new claim, and that would most likely cause in increase in your insurance rate & would be on your record.....so, be careful! I went in and made sure to say I was paying out of pocket. 15 min later, they were done and I was all ready to pay the $46 for the repair. Instead it cost only $21! There mighta been some shenanigans, but whatever. I didn't give them my insurance info, so all is good. As for the repair, it isn't like TV---the chip doesn't magically disappear because of their magical resin. It was a little less visible, but it was still there. Oh well. Let's hope it holds up & I don't get any more rocks on me ole windshield!

If, however, you don't want to experience those horrors, Than STAY AWAY FROM THE GLASS NOOK on Welsian way in Richland. Please READ all the other reviews about this place, and you will get the picture. I should have NOT given them the benefit of doubt. Go ahead and contract them for a job, and you will understand! After several weeks of waiting and frustration, I finally picked up my items, which were never even touched, and I am looking for a real professional contractor to fix the mirrors (3) on my medicine cabinet doors. All this time lost, such a crying shame. You do what you want. You have been warned!!!! STAY AWAY!

James, the owner, seemed like a great guy. I explained what I needed to do. He showed up to give me…read morean estimate for the cost of materials and his cost on labor (this was on a Friday). I agreed to the estimate and he agreed to my terms, I pay for materials at store, and he gets paid after. And then...well: 1.) Sends a text that same day on Friday after we met, and wanted to see if he could get paid upfront (deposit) before starting work because he's leaving town with family. And states that he could pick up materials after his trip on Sunday on the way back. I couldn't meet him and offer to go with him to hardware store on Sunday and meet him to pay for materials (in case if we missed anything). I DIDN'T HEAR FROM HIM SUNDAY. 2.) James sends me a text on Monday that he had a family emergency and wants to reschedule for Wednesday. I expressed my sympathies and agreed. 3.) James again sends me a text on Tuesday asking if he could meet with me to collect a deposit. I replied that I think he misunderstood me and and I do not pay for deposits beforehand, but that I could meet him at the hardware store and pay for materials. (THAT TO ME ASSURES THAT THE DEPOSIT IS SPENT SPECIFICALLY ON MATERIALS) 4.) He texts that I'm changing my "story" (whatever that means, this wasn't a damn book club meeting) AND THEN THREATENS ME WITH Better Business Bureau. Terrible customer service, waste of time, and waste of money driving out to meet him. I would give him 1/2 a star, but I can't. So 1 STAR for the Bearded NON-HANDYMAN.

No biggie - I get that sometimes things need tweaked again - BUT then the entire drawer fell out because it was not anchored properly. I called and left a voice message and a text message................ instead of returning my call or text he has BLOCKED my number............I can't call or text him. Not very professional in my opinion. Debi Kennewick, WA
