they made a window the wrong way and refused to fix it. actually said it's my fault. I talked to two people about the change I wanted and both said yeah yeah yeah. then one made one change but not the other. said you singed off. well I thought you made the changes I asked for when I asked befor.e. nothing was sent to me for the change so I had no way of checkin.g. also the worst sales people. high pressure tactics. even when paying cash they act like it's toxic if call and expect them to do anything other then the service provided before you purchase. the whole company franchise up here should be pulled and given to another company. these people suck bad. they did not even clean up the windows after installing them. crap everywhere in the window frame and tracks. read more

UPDATE - September 30, 2025: Our door is STILL not fixed. Renewal by Andersen has been to our home at least six times, each time doing nothing more than a so-called "reset" on the door. And guess what? The door still doesn't fit. We don't need another pointless "reset." We need a brand-new door. The one they installed was the WRONG size from the start. They know it, and they're stalling. Now, they won't even return my phone calls or text messages. They're flat-out avoiding us instead of taking responsibility. We placed this order for new windows and doors (see my other review) back in April 2025. It's now almost October, and we're still stuck with a defective door and zero accountability. Renewal by Andersen has wasted months of our time, avoided fixing their mistake, and treated us like we don't matter. My advice? Stay as far away from Renewal by Andersen. We had our windows replaced by Anderson 7 months ago & they have come back twice to correct defects from the installation. Each time we call, it takes weeks for them to show up and then they don't fix the problem. During the most recent visit, they have glued the window crooked so it can't be removed for cleaning or even opened. What good is a sliding window that won't slide open? We tried again to call in this most recent problem but no one answers the phone so once again, we left a message. Each time there has been a problem, it has taken multiple calls to get a response then days or even weeks to get someone out to address the problem without fixing it. Renewal by Anderson does a good job selling but a poor job installing and supporting their products. Do you REALLY want to spend extra for Anderson windows when their support is so shoddy? read more

After spent over $20K on new windows and patio door nothing but issues and very slow service. The windows leaked and they kept saying it was not their windows. I had a contractor tear out the Sheetrock and insulation and that proved it was. Their installer forgot a chalking step. That took 3 months to get fixed. Now the patio door keeps coming off the track. This was 6 months ago. A guy came out and said he could not fix it. I was expecting a call and never got it. I kept calling and they would setup another service call and on the day they were supposed to come out they did not show. Their service coordinator texted me on the last one and said they would get back to me that day and never did. When I called today she said that their managers were in a meeting and they would call me within the hour. Again no call back. I called again and said if no one calls me and gets someone over I will have a contractor fix it and send them the bill. If they don't want to pay the bill then it's time to go to court. I had 20 windows installed 10 years ago and I have been trying to get Renewal by Andersen to stand behind their product for the last 7 years. My windows are bowed and do not close properly. I have had numerous phone calls and even a video zoom with them where they tried to claim at first the builder did not properly install the windows, than I even was willing to cut open the wall too prove it, the next line is the brick work around the windows is to close and that is causing the problem. I had two companies come out and tell me I have the correct amount of space needed around the widows. This is a horrible product, I have requested a full refund / credit and and I would be willing to purchase all new windows that are a quality product from Anderson. I believe there is power in numbers and they should not be allowed to get away with what I believe is ripping of the consumer(s) and would like to talk with others who are having this issue. read more

I wish I had read some of these reviews before I bought my window! I would never have gotten the darn thing! I understood the total cost of the window was $1782.00 plus financing. Imagine my surprise when upon installation I'm hit with an additional $1782.00! I ordered the window on August 3, 2021. I understood that it would take 8-10 weeks to get the window and get it installed. That would have put us into mid-October. Finally, November 19, which by the way was the coldest day of the year, it was finally installed and that is when I got hit with the additional $1782.00 cost! The guys that installed it were great, I have no complaint about them! I'm a retiree in my 80s on a fixed income and trying to raise a 16 yr. old great-granddaughter! It will take the rest of my life to pay for this freaking window. So, my advice is, if you get a window from these people, get EVERYTHING in writing when placing the order! I was sent a survey to do and when I tried to do it and submit it, got a message that the survey had expired! BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK! read more

Wholly hell Batman! I received a mailer that boasted about a 20% discount on windows so I figured why not get a quote? I just bought a house and windows is one of the things I have wanted to do since I began looking at the house. My salesman was super nice but the more he was talking and going through all of these elaborate details I started thinking 'uh oh, this is going to be pricey'. Pricey is right - 68 THOUSAND dollars for 14 windows. Are you out of your f**king minds?!!!! And my favorite part 'well, we have payment plans' LOL. Well I sure as hell hope so! Of course you also get the scare tactics about how terrible vinyl windows are and how wood windows are OK, I guess, and how the rest of my home ownership experience is going to be terrible unless I have your super duper ahead of the times windows that cost more than the down payment of the house itself. I have been a customer with Renewal by Anderson since 2018. Up until this most recent job, I have been quite satisfied with every aspect of their company. It's been 2 years since I have required their services and I am completely disheartened by the service and quality of work I received. The front office staff are totally incompetent in regards to communication with the customer and installers. For the most part the installers were adequate given that they received the incorrect window to install but the sloppy, slipshod caulking job looks like it was done by a first grader. My attempts to communicate this to the office staff failed abysmally. The installation manager came out as soon as I threatened to contact corporate and agreed the work needed to be redone. An appointment was scheduled for the repair but, unfortunately, I wasn't notified until the installer informed me he was on his way. Due to prior appointments on my part this wasn't possible. Another appointment for repair was scheduled. Today the installer came out and informed me he was here to make repairs for something I didn't need done. When I showed him what the problem was he argued with me that it looked fine to him and didn't see anything wrong with the work done. I sent him on his way immediately and called the installation manager but went to voice mail. Now I get to start the whole process over. Never again will I use RbA nor would I recommend them to anyone I know. Horrible experience. read more

Many years ago I signed up for a free window replacement estimate appointment at a booth at Saturday market. Their office called at 8am on a Sunday, and I answered and asked if they knew what time it was. The girl was snarky and said yes do you know what time it is? It was a reminder call for the appointment. I told them to cancel the appointment. I made a point that I would never buy windows from them. We had all our windows replaced two years ago, and I made sure they didn't come from Renewal. However for years we have gotten flyers and junk mail from Renewal, it's not even recycled paper, just constant junky mail from them. They will never stop. I just called them now to ask them to stop AGAIN. They told me that our address is not on their mailing list, but yet here it is in my hand received in the mail today. Renewal by Anderson was a bad choice..... Angel was our sales associate. He was great during the meeting with us but failed to assist us when we were having issues with setting up a make up date. We called him and he told us the one of the higher ups would call us. No reply, called him back to no avail. After getting a new install date we got a call a couple days before install number two we get told again that our order hasn't arrived, and they would call on Monday. No call. I called them multiple times and nothing. We finally get our windows and door after 3 attempts. Found out that when you get windows and doors from them they charge you twice once for the 9 windows (21 1/2K) and again for just incase they need to replace them for a total of 43k. As of right now I need a new door (warped) and 3 window frames because manufacturers bad cuts. No one has called me about that. I called the financial guy to get things fixed and he said he would call back. Nope hasn't and won't happen. The install guys Jordan, Cory, and crew were great. Terrible company. Like other people have stated, Anderson's product quality and installation is probably excellent. But their prices are way too high. I was quoted over $50,000 for 1/3 of my window project. I wound up doing the entire project with top quality vinyl windows for half of that price. In other words I could do my entire project with top-quality vinyl windows three times for the price of one install of Anderson windows. That's crazy. read more

A few years ago I ordered my windows and had them put in by a great team. Unfortunately my picture window has been difficult to clean. I have called the company and have had very little success with a response. All of the other windows do not have problems with streaks and smudges. My picture window faces the mountains and I can see all of the marks when the sun is out. I'm very frustrated with the lack of response considering these windows cost a lot of money. I thought they were a great company until my problem with lack of communication even after sending photos. What happened to the 20 year warranty? Do you stand by your product? I guess not because no one has called back in 3 weeks with help on how I can get my window to not have streaks and smudges. read more

If you are thinking this company is the way to go...run. My nightmare began in March 2021. I wanted new patio doors and a new energy efficient front door with a storm door for a total of $21,000. I thought prices were high but the doors were guaranteed, they were going to install. My husband and I are in our 70s. Salesman came down, did cursory measurements then another guy came and took final measurements. For them to start on my order I had to give $7,000 for them to begin process. Doors get built ready to install its May. Supposed to take 2 days to install, 1 for patio door and 1 for front door. No, took more time, we're unable to use door as it was just sitting in frame Over weekend. Came back finally got door in...oh the latch door handle is broken will have to order new one. I had already paid the last $14,000. Facing coming off area by side lights, screws were stripped out. Damage to my inside wall where screws are popping out. No damage till they worked on it. We went almost 2 months unable to lock our house. on 8/11/21 came back, fixed strip screws installed new face plate door lock relevelled door and storm door so it would close. On 8/26/21 installer called to tell me everything was arranged and would get back to me Friday or the following Monday. As of this date 10/7 and at least 5 non returned calls later I have decided this company has NO customer service. Don't use them read more

If you can't afford about $30k-50k, it's not worth the 4 hour sales appointment, which then results in a ridiculous amount of phone calls to your home and junk mail in your mailbox. I just wish the calls and mail would stop at this point. All deals were pleasant except for the continuous and unwanted follow ups. I would love to have the product installed in my home, but I will not sacrifice my first born for it. Simply, we can't afford it and we don't want to afford it. We invited the Renewal by Anderson professional into our home. He was professional and helpful. When we got to the quote part of the process, I was blown away. In my thinking ten windows at about $400.00 a piece, if I finished them out was a good price. First quote, $40,000.00 some dollars for ten windows if they did all the work. Second quote, $30,000.00 some dollars if I did the trim work myself. I feel bad for the poor salespersons they have who have to go through prostituting themselves in the hopes of a "big score." I left a message at the Anchorage location. What a bunch of silliness. Hopefully, Alaskans will drum this business out of town. read more

Every step of the process from the consultation to the final installation was a smooth process. Madisyn Brown took her time explaining everything about the product and answered all our questions. She presented our options in a no-pressure way despite spending over an hour with us. Her attitude was positive throughout and her professionalism was on point. We received courtesy calls to remind us of the installation from the company and each day from the installer - Donovan Komakhuk. He and his partner, Cody Christianson, worked quickly to get our windows installed in a timely manner. They were gracious with timing, knowing that we had a 2-year-old in the home - they worked around her sleeping so they did not wake her in the AM. They took time to explain each step of the installation and the functioning of each window. They had us review each piece of the process before moving on to the next. Donovan and Cody's work was exceptional and they exhibited a level of courtesy and professionalism you may not often find with a national company. As for the quality of the windows... apparently, they are so good even nature can't tell. A bird flew into one of the new windows shortly after installation. Horrible Customer Service and Installation. We had our windows replaced in September and from the beginning, the installation was off. We attempted to have Renewal by Andersen come our and conduct a post-inspection but no one came. Finally in December when the temperature in Alaska went down to -25 our home was so cold that we had to leave and stay in a hotel for two days. We called Renewal by Andersen and told them we are contacting BBB if someone isn't at our home by 1500 that day. Then only then did someone come out and confirmed our suspicions that the window installation was done incorrectly. We were told that someone will contact us to fix the issue. That was two weeks ago. I'm contacting BBB today after submitting this and looking into litigation. Our home is freezing, windows are frozen and mold is forming around the windows. Very disappointed in Renewal by Andersen after spending over $30,000 on new windows this is how customers are treated. read more

The work that Charlie and Paul completed on my home wasn't without its challenges but they performed in professional and thorough manner. The work was neat and conducted in a way that didn't disrupt things entirely. They created a comfortable atmosphere for my wife and girls by being polite and conversant. One unfortunate item was that one of the windows was incorrectly ordered, and we had to wait for the replacement. Ivon and Mike installed the replacement window and were professional, efficient and clean as well. Other than that I had no issues with the product or the service provided and would highly recommend. We look forward to completing our residing project next month to properly showcase the windows and really make them look finished. For 11 windows on our home we got quoted just under $50,000! $1000 per window to paint and trim. The sales man was very rehearsed and corny. The windows are nothing special, if your read how there built and actually look into it Pella and Jeld-Wen windows are the same. We wanted to get a quote on new doors for the exterior, result their doors start out at $3,000, starting out, not including install. Buy elsewhere. Lowes quote for same Windows, install, two doors, local contractor, $16K. Done in 4 days. When reselling no one cares if they are $50k windows. $50k was is 20% the value of our home. Do some shopping and research on the product your committing to before even considering Anderson. read more
