I've used renew restoration a couple years ago for a slab leak I had in my kitchen and had nothing but positive things to say about Eric, Arnie and the rest of the crew. Unfortunately I discovered ANOTHER slab leak in my bathroom earlier this year. I was confident to know I had a good company I can rely on to help me with yet again another large scale project in my home. Sure enough, I called Eric and everything was handled seamlessly. Had a water leak and called them for the emergency work. That went ok, worker named Arnie was communicative and got that part of the work done. The nightmare hit when we needed to have the remediation and rehab work done. Eric, the owner of the company I think. Refused to provide my insurance company what they needed for the remediation (essentially a detailed estimate). This prolonged the work until finally we had to hire a different company to do the remediation. Then Eric wanted to bid the rehab work. He told me he had an estimate for $90k to do that work (which seemed high to me), but refused to release the estimate unless I signed a doc u sign committing to him that if the insurance company didn't use him, I would owe him $9,000. When I refused to agree to that my phone and texts blew up like a bad break up. If you like drama, this company might be for you. read more

we experienced water damage in our unit. Renew restoration told us that there will be a $295 charge to come out on Saturday, agreed since it was water damage though serve pro and another company came out for free. Chris was a very polite and nice person who did the initial evaluation and thought it will cost us anywhere from 3.5 to 5 k as it was clean water and we dried it with towels so no water extraction was needed. we did agree to work with the company and then we met Eric and Keith , it was ok and we signed without scope of work ( our mistake) on verbal commitment of restoration including bathroom as had shown some moisture and Chris was not sure if related to water damage from upstairs unit water leak for 8,5 K. Work did not start until after a week and then after 3 days of work Keith found some mold under the wood flooring from September 20th to September 27th. insurance was billed for 11K plus , all equipment like dehumidifier and Air mover was at our property from Sept 27 to Oct 2 and bill was so high , even on their website mold remediation is anywhere from $2 to $20 per sq ft. Our whole unit is 710 sq ft. Damaged area where floor was removed is no more than 100 sq ft. Billing was outrageous and frivolous, hence Eric/Keith and insurance did not agree on final payment wasting 3 weeks of no work since it was us who were suffering while they were negotiating. we have specific examples that proved it was exaggerated billing for work that was not performed or done. we will never recommend this business to anyone as going through crisis no one wants another crisis of dealing with contractor who is trying to make the most money of your difficult situation and taking advantage. 0 value and lots of heart ache and unfinished job as have to find a contractor for rebuild. I contacted them last week to schedule an appointment for an inspection to see if there is mold from a leak at my daughter's home and they scheduled the appointment for today between 9:00 am and 10:00 am. We discovered Eric and Renew Restoration during what turned out to be a major black mold issue in a rental house in December of 2018. The professional and caring actions taken by Eric during that time were much appreciated as more and more area of the bathroom, adjoining bedroom and hall had to be tested, walls removed and mold issues mitigated. A few weeks ago, in the same little (old) rental house, the tenant discovered a new issue in a different part of the house. I knew to call Eric right away to ask which steps to take. He recommended to first call a plumber to stop the slow leak and he scheduled a visit to investigate the site. Eric is amazing. No need to look elsewhere. Our house had severe water damage due to a broken pipe last year. After we filed a claim with our insurance company we started looking for contractors to oversee the repairs. We originally went with the contractor who appraised our house when we purchased back in 2013. This person however turned out to be extremely unreliable and we wound up paring ways. My water heater was leaking and I called Renew out to provide an estimate on water damage of my water heater platform and surrounding wall. They sent out a project manager and immediately he tells me he sees visible mold so my repairs would start at $1800. Then the gentleman went on and on about how I can go through my homeowners insurance and that they would cover everything even if repairs totaled $4k or more. Proceeded to tell me they would file the claim for me and yadda yadda yadda. I was immediately annoyed. I felt like his sole purpose was trying to get me to file through my homeowners insurance instead of paying out of pocket like I preferred. Well, the icing on the cake is I already had 2 other companies come out prior to this company providing an estimate and each were $800 less than then $1800 this company quoted. I feel that because I am a single woman, the guy they sent out felt he could take advantage. On Tuesday, September 7, 2021 I found a dark, wet spot coming through the carpet in our master bedroom closet. I called a plumber who informed us that the leak was raw sewage coming from a broken seal in the bathroom toilet. The plumber recommended Renew Restoration. Arnie Mendez came over and did a complete report on the moisture and sewage that had permeated the walls. By Saturday (9/10) Arnie had received our insurance's permission to start the demolition/ clean up process immediately. For the next two weeks, the sound of jack hammers and 7 fans permeated our home as Arnie removed parts of the walls and tested for moisture and bacteria. For the next phase, Eric Funnell, the owner of Renew Restoration, sent a very capable crew (German, Carlos and Ben) to reconstruct the bathroom and closet walls and floors. They worked from 8 am to 7 pm every day we were home. We have moved back into the master bedroom and are very pleased with the results.
