I corrected her 2x, thinking she had it correct. Left the office, went to get my prescription - NO prescription! Tried to call the office - closed. Called another location - the dentist would not call it in as they can not could not see my chart. Called the on call Dr. - they never called back. Called the office Monday - meds were called to the wrong location. The office manager argued with me stating she was told to send to wrong location. When advising I corrected her in office & trying to provide the correct phone number to the pharmacy she was to send the script to - she put me on hold. when coming back - while expressing as she is the "office manager" she should "do better" set an example - she hung up on me. Great dentist horrible office manager.

When I arrived for my appointment, I was told that they do not accept my insurance. I had to pay for my visit. The technician who performed my x-rays was impatient. She was annoyed that I was choking on the enormous device that she put in my small mouth. She begrudgingly gave me a smaller device. She blamed me for it falling out though I clearly followed her directive. The x-rays were extremely painful & there were a countless amount of them. I thought it would never end. The hygienist seemed very nice but she did not clean my teeth which are in dire need of cleaning. The dentist was cold. She said I had an abscessed tooth & described some remedies. Her advice was moot because she is not in my network. She prescribed Amoxicillin & Ibuprofen, 800 mg. The latter is known for stomach bleeding. I took one & was nauseated all day. I threw them out.

My first impression, as I was walking towards the office, is that it is not professionally, or…read moreotherwise, cleaned. Furthermore, the floors were filthy, and this was on a Monday morning. Moreover, I had joined the savings plan. However, when I was presented with the bill, and I said that I was under the impression that x-rays, etc., were free, I was told that they are 20% off. Online, the plan clearly states that the x-rays and exam are free. Of course, the bill was not itemized. There was also a charge on my bill for work that the doctor said might have to be done in the future!!! This brought the bill up to $4500.00. I quickly stated that I was not having that work done at present, so Natalie deducted it. However, my bill was still a whopping $1600.00 dollars. That was for the exam, x-rays. cleaning, and 2 fillings. As a retired widow on a fixed income, I must say that such a fee is difficult to manage, but I paid the entire balance, rather than have to pay interest over the course of the next few months. Frankly, I would have walked out if I had not lost a filling from a front tooth. There also seemed to be a great deal of confusion. There was only one dentist on my first visit, so I could not have my filling replaced. I was given two appointments for the following day: 9AM cleaning, and 10AM fillings. When the hygienist completed the cleaning, she said, "I see that your fillings will be done at 11. I quickly protested, and that problem was rectified. When I met with the dentist, who obviously had not even glanced at my health history, she asked the same questions I had been asked the day before. She asked if I had any allergies, and if I take any medication and have any health problems. When I answered "no" to the two latter questions, she just stared at me. I repeated my answer, and she continued to stare, and said "Not even blood pressure?" I told her that I am very healthy and take excellent care of myself. Finally, when she was about to start working on me, she stated that the tooth minus the filling wasn't even listed under the work she was supposed to do!!! I said that that tooth was the reason for my visit! It seems that the dental assistant had recorded the wrong tooth!!! When all was done, she just walked out, and rushed to the next patient. I could mention more, but I am sure you can see why I will not be recommending Aspen Dental to my friends -- maybe my enemies!

I complied with all of those things. Today I got a phone call 1 hour before our appointments were set to begin at an office that's about 40 minutes from our home (I was en route) telling me my sons insurance is stating he is ineligible. I found this to be absolutely absurd given all of the correspondence between them and I over the last few weeks, but I stated I would call them back with info. Before I could even return the phone call I get a call from someone different in the office telling me they have to cancel my appointment for an "emergency". If you hound someone for information I expect it to be backed up, not a bunch of last minute nonsense to complicate everything. I absolutely cannot believe how unprofessional this company is. I got told by multiple people they were awful, but I like to see things for myself. I won't be making that mistake again. If you're looking for a reliable company I implore you to seek care elsewhere. I took off today for these dental appointments and have wasted a day I could have spent doing something fun with my children for this idiocy.

3 weeks ago I went to the Hazleton office & paid the $29.00 for people with no insurance…read more At check in I was told they don't have change & thankfully another patient asked if I needed change & was kind enough to me change. That same person that gave me change was in & out within minutes & stopped at the front desk on his way out & said I drove 1hr to get here because I was told my tooth would be extracted & the dentist said they can't do it today. I got my x-rays & exam. While there I heard nothing but people told they need a root canal. I knew what I was going to be told. The dentist came in & did some testing as to why I'm having pain by tapping (Which I had NO pain). They used super cold stuff that hurt on other teeth & the dentist said on the tooth hurting you with hot do you feel any pain? I said no. The dentist said your tooth is dead & you need a root canal. At checkout I was presented with a $3,336.00+ cost for the root canal, & crown. Root canals fail & cause infection. Any good, honest dentist & endodontist knows that a root canal only cleans the roots out & can NOT clean out the 3 million tiny pathways which harbor the bacteria & leads to a low grade infection in the entire body. Watch some honest dentists on YT. 3 weeks later my wife's filling cracked. We went back & at check in we were told we don't have change so we can apply the balance left to your account but we said we brought the correct amount. The receptionist was very surprise after her long wind speech (What business does NOT have change? And how is that when others pay with cash there is NO change? First RED FLAG). During are check in another female was aside us that had insurance & was told she needed to pay $46.00 for the fluoride paste that the insurance won't cover. The female asked is that necessary & was told I'll have to check. While my wife filled her questions out another lady checked in & she had insurance but the receptionist gave her a hard time about the insurance & the lady seemed to get it straightened out. My wife was called back & a hygienist came in followed by young thin blonde hair dentist that seemed not very nice. She looked at the x-rays & the 3D scan then said to my wife you need a root canal & a deep cleaning for periodontal disease (Something my wife disclosed on her new patient check in do to having a graph over 25 years ago) my wife spoke up & said I don't want a root canal as I was told in the past by an endodontist that bacteria still lives in the dead tooth in the millions of paths ways that they can't clean out & causes infection & with my wife's immune system she recommends extraction only. At this point the young dentist seemed to get attitude after my wife questioned more. Then young dentist said while then extraction is your only option but you have bone loss & the periodontal disease needs to be treated (Which we both understand) but what we can't understand & what was not answered is why after all the past x-rays from dentists we seen over the years for cleanings & general oral healthcare not one brought this to our attention? We asked how much & were told like I was on checkout you'll be told at check out. At checkout you feel like you're dealing with a car salesman. No words expect for the dentist said this & then shown a tablet with a whooping $3,500.00+ bill. Then the nonsense about finance is available if you can't afford it. It's not about not being able to afford it but like they're robbing you! My wife was then asked when would she like to make the appointment? We asked for a breakdown of the billing after hearing this absurd price at which point the look on the lady' face said "I'm getting disgusted with all these questions". Aspen Dental will get you in quick, take your cash not give change (What business does NOT have change & how is that when others pay with cash), make you feel like you're going to get good honest care & then slap you EVERYTIME with over $3K in fees & talk about financing like you're buying a car! Best part the dentist will NOT make you a partial until you get your teeth cleaned but will do the deep cleaning before you get your extraction! WTH? Are you serious? Deep cleaning equal bacteria & I really need this tooth extracted as it's down to the gum! So the bacteria isn't a big deal & I can still get my tooth extracted ASAP? LOL The letters after your name do NOT make you smarter or above me. You walk out $29.00 lighter in your wallet, WASTED time, miles, & gas feeling like you just got ripped off! Do NOT go to ANY Aspen Dental clinic. They are there to help you lighten your wallet ONLY! It's for the desperate & a civil or class action suit should be & hopefully will be about against Aspen Dental for their unethical business practices! I STRONGLY recommend reporting Aspen Dental to the BBB & Attorney General!
