Everything just feels more spacious and organized, which makes shopping a lot easier. They still have all the usual HomeGoods goodies, and when I went at the end of September, they had a ton of seasonal stuff, including lots of Halloween and even some Christmas already out. I also found a lot of protein foods in the gourmet food section, including plant-based protein powder, gluten-free cookies, protein chips, and more. I also got some new flannel sheets for my bed with a cute pattern. I just wish all the colors and patterns came in every size, but that's kind of an if-you-get-lucky situation with HomeGoods. Overall, if you want to explore HomeGoods without as much chaos and clutter, this is a great location to check out.

As a matter of fact, the queen size sofa bed that we had in our lower level for out-of-town guests was bought by two college students. when they came to see if it would be strong enough for their college house they both jumped on it. That is what I call quality. The service was always excellent. Disappointed!!…read more After waiting nine weeks for delivery of my new bedroom furniture - I am disappointed in what was delivered. Quite frankly, I'm also angry. I paid $6500 - on sale - for a 3 piece bedroom set. A bed, a long dresser, and a nightstand. While it seems sturdy and looks lovely at first glance - I was delivered furniture full of insects holes! There are holes from wood boring beetles throughout my furniture. Across the top of dresser and on the sides, across the front on the drawers, on the top of nightstand and sides, on the headboard and footboard, and so on. Every piece that was used to make my bedroom set is damaged from bugs. Also, there is missing stain on the headboard. If I don't keep decorative pillows propped up, it is noticeable. I am so disappointed and feel that I overpaid for what was delivered. I was really looking forward to this set. It was to be the nicest bedroom set I've ever owned. I just moved and didn't move my old set - so I had my mattress/boxspring on the floor for nine weeks and lived out of boxes while waiting for delivery. It was uncomfortable and inconvenient but I thought it would be worth it once my new set was delivered. Then I was delivered a set with obvious evidence of wood boring insect damage. How sturdy is this furniture after it's been infested with wood boring insects?! Wood boring beetles cause disintegration of wood over time. The holes on the outside of the wood are from adult wood boring beetles but the major damage is done by the larvae that bore into the wood, tunneling through and feeding on the wood. The majority of the damage from these insects is in the inside of the wood. Unseen until your furniture starts to disintegrate. The set was custom made. You pick the color and it is stained for you. The wait is so long because you wait for your set to be made. They made my bed with wood that had evidence of insect damage! Was it made with the insects still in the wood?! Where is the attention to detail?! Especially when there is missing stain in a noticeable place. How can this store charge this kind of money for furniture that has insect damage?! That is not what was expected when talk of natural look of wood or natural imperfections in wood were mentioned. I thought I was purchasing quality furniture when I chose Verbarg's for my bedroom furniture. I am disappointed that my bedroom set was delivered with obvious insect damage. Additionally, I am angry that I paid as much as I did for furniture that is not up to par with what the showroom depicts. Make sure that you inspect you furniture closely when it's delivered.

I called the store a few days later and asked for Beth. She wasn't there. Taymee is who I spoke to instead. Taymee was unpleasant. She treated me like I was a burden. Her tone and sighs clearly indicated she was uninterested in answering my questions or helping me place an order. She put me on hold at least 5 times, tried to rush me off the phone, and said she'd send the quote to my email and I could just call back and deal with Beth later. I never received the email. Beth contacted me a few days later, and again was lovely. I wanted to see some chairs I was considering in person so Beth said I could come to the store to see them, but she'd be on vacation so Taymee could help me. I reached out again asking for the quote via email and Taymee did not respond. After a few days I sent another email which Taymee did reply to saying simply "I sent the quote. Here it is again". No greeting, no let me know if you have questions... I noticed on the terrible picture she took of a printed quote my email was incorrect. I replied with a friendly message to let her know. I again received a short, unfriendly reply "Okay. Thank you." Your customers don't care who gets commission. We expect kind, friendly, courteous, helpful customer service no matter who we talk to. And at your price points you should offer nothing less than exceptional customer service. I'd be happy to forward the email correspondence. Just provide an email address. I expected much more from your company. In the next 1-2 months I'll be spending up to $20k in furnishings and it's unfortunate it won't be with Arhaus.

One in a Million is a "unique boutique," (as it says behind the desk in the store) specializing in "one-of-a-kind" homemade designer jewelry, as well as home décor items, handbags and fashion accessories, and other upscale gifts. The store, located across from the Mercedes-Benz dealer past downtown Montgomery and on the way to Kenwood, prides itself on its unique collection of jewelry from local, national, and international designers. Indeed the "wearable works of art" are unique, but of course that calls for high prices for the many earrings, rings, and necklaces, and the non-jewelry items too. One in a Million also has a lot of fancy home décor items and gifts, from something as simple as a lamp or candle to an elegant chess set or little dog figures for the dog lover. It makes sense why they say "unique gifts," as these weren't something you would find in just any gift shop. One in a Million has its share of ladies clothing and fashion accessories as well, and silk florals too. Now I don't wear jewelry or have a home for which I need to decorate, but I did think this was a very nice store. They had a large collection of unique items great for the home, in addition to their jewelry items, but I advise anyone planning to check this store out to come with a check book or a lot of cash. The items in this store were not cheap by any means, but if you can afford their items, then you could probably find a lot of great stuff. They even have an online store with many of their featured items as well, so check that out if you don't want to drive out to the store. Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, but also by appointment.
