For odd jobs, he charges by the hour and for materials, etc., but then will quote an estimate for a larger job, like our pass through. He was timely in responding, although was backed up for the pass through job, but we weren't in any rush. We did need an electrician to move some boxes and wiring for us, and Gerry recommended someone trustworthy and local who came that weekend to help get our project moving forward. We did have an issue with an outside pipe on a water faucet that leaked again after the winter, but Gerry came and fixed it no charge in the spring when we were ready to use it again. Bottom line: he's nice, reliable, and wants to put his name on quality work. Update, 06/2017: the outside hose line was leaking again so we called a real plumber who said we needed to replace the copper pipe and shouldn't have had Gerry use the shark bite tubing outside since it would have just kept cracking every year.

He was extremely responsive during the entire week working at my rental property. This was very important considering I am military and currently living out of state, so constant communication was critical. Also, his guys was extremely hard working. Overall good company.

Had to re-do a whole floor because of a big hump left in the middle of it. Had to re-carpet a room because his painter dripped paint all over it. Removed part of a floor that was not to be touched. Botched the storage unit construction and left a leak causing thousands of dollars of damage and now won't fix it despite the fact that 4 months ago he said he would do it at no charge. His company Randall-Douglas dissolved, so he says he has no legal duty to fix the problem under his new Douglas and Company. He also has a temper and can get nasty.

They completed the work with care and respect. I found the quotes for the work to be reasonable. We had a water leak in a wall behind a very intricately designed kitchen with cabinets and granite. They took great care to remove the cabinets and counter top, make the structural repairs to the wall, and put everything back as it was. They installed a beautiful French door to my office, which required re-framing an existing oversized door way. It came out great. The team also completed several smaller projects for us. It is likely that I will use Bulwark Construction for future projects.

I wanted a local contractor to do the work. We live in Ambler. I put out a request via Yelp. Liberty General was one of 5 respondents. After reviewing his estimate which was what I considered the gold standard of contractor estimates, clearly written, well stated information of previous job experiences, Insurance information etc., I decided on Liberty. One of the best decisions and experiences I had with Liberty. Jeff the owner, is a solid experienced skilled contractor offering up numerous suggestions on what I wanted, reasonable pricing, flexible, honest and trustworthy, excellent communicator, very knowledgeable on new construction materials. Everything he did, he checked in explaining what he was going to do and why certain things would need to be done that I didn't think of. He was very clear on when he would be here and always arrived on time with a very pleasant attitude and great work ethic (a perfectionist). He guided us along the way with material selections which was especially helpful. My wife Norina (my boss) was an active participant in the decision making and he was very respectful of her suggestions. Our experience with Jeff has to be the best experience we have had over the 55 years of owning homes and using contractors to provide home project services. Norina is extremely happy with the outcome of our projects (happy wife, happy life)! We strongly recommend his services, you won't be disappointed.
