Hotel restaurants can be hit and miss. This one definitely a win. Not only food is great and decor is fantastic as rest of De Hallen - you also cannot beat the convenience of staying close to your room if you are tired from all walking around and sightseeing.
There is a great wine list, and a glass chilled to just right temperature.
Fresh bread, steamy hot, with a bit of good olive oil and bruschetta.
Light and flavorful razor clam ceviche with chicory and anchovies was a great starter. Razor clams were ridiculously good!
Main course choices were solid - I opted to cod with lobster foam and carrot crème. Yum.
Of course, I saw crème brûlée and ice cream on dessert menu - how could I not to? ~disappeared in seconds~
The Prix Fixe menu is a good deal.
Sitting next to old tram depot doors, open to fresh evening breeze from a canal, street lights burning bright outside, and looking at old rail running on a floor next to your seat - absolutely priceless. read more
