If your looking for a great bar/restaurant , look no further. Remi's Thirsty Moose sits right on Lake Wisconsin with beautiful views. Nothing like grabbing something to eat and looking out at the Lake. I believe I saw this on the morning Madison news recently -voted best food on the Lake. If your looking to see what events are going on I found their FB page is updated regularly "Remi's Thirsty Moose" Right now on the weekend they have Ice racing going on right outside. Join the crowd outside and come in and warm up OR watch from inside the bar. I believe this is going on every wkend for the few weeks. It was well worth the trip off I90. Only a few minutes down the road. I've been here in the summer as well. Live bands and tiki hut right by waters edge. Boat docks allow you to pull right up to join the fun or grab a bite to eat if your out on the lake. I'm going to have to get out there fishing..I hear the stories of the big ones in this area. As far as staff, they were very personable and accommodating. The General Manager, Shayn sure can hold a conversation and keep up with the service. Good times at the bar with that guy. The Food has been outstanding every visit. I recommend trying the chili, the moose burger & moose dog, the huge cod fish sandwich. I also love the cheese curds, but hey its Wisconsin..who doesn't. All the food is fresh and made in house according to the staff. I wouldn't doubt it, it was amazing. I also think the prices are responsible. This bar is by far the best resturant / bar on LAKE WISCONSIN. They have so much to offer! They have great food. Top tier quality. They have hands down the best and most knowledgeable bartenders on the lake. Possibly even the best looking! They have the cleanest atmosphere that is very welcoming to travellers, out of town guests, parents with youngsters. This is not just a locals only style bar. Everyone gets treated fairly and equally. They have a really cool tiki hut down in the sand next to the water where they have live bands play all summer long every weekend. Saturday s and Sundays from 3-7pm. They have volleyball courts and horseshoe pits. Did I mention amazing food. Their menu is more sandwich based but each sandwich has a unique personal twist to it. Options are unlimited here. Lots of homemade foods and soups daily. Daily food and drink specials. Minutes from I-90 for travelers looking to stop somewhere off the beaten path or a non franchise style place. Owners are great local people who are very friendly. Not drunks or druggies who party at thier establishments like most the other bars around this area. Not a gossipy style joint. Finally a place that has the whole package. Just went and grabbed an early dinner with my boyfriend after spending the day on Lake Wisconsin, and let me tell you.... This was one of the best places I've been to in recent memory. I got the Calf burger which had brisket and Applewood smoked bacon on top of one of the best seasoned burgers I've ever had. Their homemade soup (chicken and wild rice) was absolutely amazing. Even my french fries were perfect. That was the first time he's ever seen me clean my plate. My boyfriend got the broasted chicken, which was also amazing. Just the right amount of crunch to the chicken and paired perfectly with homemade slaw and baby red potato salad, which were also great. The owner Shayne was working and he was just as friendly and just as talkative with us as he was with some of the regulars that were in. You can tell that he cares a lot about his establishment and his patrons. I highly recommend this place to anyone who's passing through, you won't regret it. read more

I just happened to be in the neighborhood, was hungry, saw their sign and pulled in. This is a quaint neighborhood bar with a 'Fine' restaurant menu and 'burger joint' pricing. The staff was so nice, I felt like family right away. The menu items went way beyond those of a standard bar menu. I had the Kale/Italian Sausage soup and their Big Fish sandwich. The soup was 'out of this world' and I would expect to see this only in a classy, expensive dinner club. The Fish Sandwich; a 10 oz (I believe) Cod with my choice of toppings was by far, the BEST Fish sandwich I have ever had. Then they had to inform me of the speciality pies they had for desert and I couldn't leave without having a piece of the Mixed Berry Cheesecake. I definitely plan to 'be in the neighborhood' again and again. I've got to experience the other menu items. Great Food, Great Staff, Great Drinks. burp... Ya gotta go! read more

What a great place. Food is always good and they always offer specials not on the menu. Yesterday I had the Pulled Pork Sandwich with awesome Sweet Potatoe Fries and a cup of the Jerk Chicken Soup which was out of this world good. There is always something going on over the weekends and can't wait to be there for the eskimo golf next week. Service is always great and everyone is so friendly. A real family place too. read more

Thanks for a great outdoor meal by the Lake! we were three hungry travelers from NJ driving back to O'Hare after a trip to Northern Minnesota. It had rained earlier but we were able to enjoy delicious sandwiches and burgers on the deck and relaxed with our beers. Highly recommend it for friendly service and good food! Delicious! We kayaked to the islands and back and wanted to grab a quick lunch. We stopped in here and what a pleasant surprise. Tracy waited on us and was nice and friendly. I had a salmon BLT with sweet potato fries and my husband had a brat and mac n cheese. Our meals were yummy. Very good experience. read more

The food here is great. So beautiful to sit at the sandbar and grab a beer. My husband and I have land in Poynette but live 1 1/2 hours away. Every time we are there we always stop in and have brought our friends there as well. Highly recommended!!! read more
