I needed to digitize a few dvm60 mini tapes and 8mm tapes from my wife's childhood. Unfortunately, the cassette player we had broke and to replace the player it would cost about $400-800 dollars since they don't make these anymore. I was worried since I wanted these tapes converted but it looked like it would've been a tough task to find a working player under $100 -- I didn't even know what type of players plays these tapes to be honest. Fortunately, I found Reminisce Media and Lauri. I just read the tapes type to her based on what was written on the box, and she assured me that it could be done. I dropped them off at one of their locations, and she completed the transfer within a few days (there were about 4-5 hours total from those tapes). The quality was superb and everything went even better than I had expected. The service was super affordable and she took the time to transfer them onto a USB drive for me. I provided some Hi8 tapes to Laurie for conversion to digital. The first time, 3/10 tapes came back with either the end cut-off or some static/glitching on the recording. I had watched the tapes thoroughly beforehand so I knew that that didn't happen when playing back on the camcorder. I asked Laurie if she would re-process the tapes using my camcorder. She told me that she was striving for 100% customer satisfaction and drove out to my house, picked up the tapes/camcorder, and re-processed the tapes that had had issues. She delivered that all back to me a week later. I checked everything and it is all perfect, now. The static/glitching is no more and any missed ending sections of tapes are now captured. I cannot say enough praises for Laurie. I needed a VHS tape switched to a DVD, and I put it off, and finally reached out to Legacy Box. They were going to charge an exuberant amount, and I wouldn't get it back in less than 2 months.
