I've found that most doctors lately rush through appointments and base their treatments on what is covered by insurance. Dr. Perryman took the time to explain my unique situation in terms I understood. He also is very kind and seemed interested in getting to know me personally. The experience reminded me of the small town doctors of the past. The office staff is super friendly and the space is comfortable. They even have free drinks and snacks which is nice. On top of that, he didn't try to hard sell me on purchasing glasses at the office but did explain that what they offer is high quality. I'm grateful to have this practice in town.

I felt like I was more of a nuisance than an appreciated patient. He was curt and made me feel like he couldn't be done with the appt soon enough. I've never been this disconcerted at a doctors office before. Horrible vibe. In regards to the mask mandate, there is no state mandate in place and I am medically exempt from wearing a mask as they induce panic attacks. Panic attacks can cause you to cry and your nose to run. It would make NO sense for me to trigger this during an EYE exam when you're trying to keep people safe from these facial fluids in the first place. It's appalling to treat special needs people this way! Just because you refuse to read the updated peer reviewed studies on cloth and surgical masks and their ineffectiveness during this pandemic, that the CDC themselves cited, doesn't mean you can behave in such a discriminatory way. The CDC exempts those who can't wear them. I can't imagine another doctor complaining that someone with special needs made them uncomfortable. Do better and be nicer to those who have special needs.

Found a sign on the door that says "We're closing at 4 p.m. today." A call would have been really helpful so I didn't sit in rush hour traffic both ways for a false appointment. I have family in the medical practice industry and no matter the situation, they always make the time to call patients if they have to move appointments, even for family emergencies. There is no excuse that someone couldn't call to alert me that the appointment had to be moved. I will not return. And clearly, they don't likely care. And I'll be canceling my husband's appointment for two weeks. At least I'll give them the courtesy of a call - not sure why since they didn't give it to me. Only saving grace is that this was next to Julio's, so I got a nice bottle of wine for dinner. Cheers!

It is too bad their billing department can't get their act together…read moreand are very defensive, accusing the patient of not knowing what they are talking about when the insurance is in the system for other family members recently. They are never able to put our insurance through correctly and we end up being charged incorrectly. It's a waste of time and lots of stress and aggravation fighting this every single visit. In the end, they end up sending us a check or issuing a refund for incorrectly charging us. They insist they are right, but they never are. We have no problems with billing or insurance at other eye doctors. I don't know why they can't see our coverage like every other provider.
