Customer service is always great! Any questions I have had they answered, never once have they been rude! I had an issue with calling and not being able to stay connected even with WiFi and they helped resolve the issue without trying to add on services. Though the internet lags a bit it's not often and for all the devices we have let alone how far out we live. We don't live in the town we are literally in the outskirts where there are no PGE poles so that should tell you something. They are trying to put better internet they are hopeful by this summer it can be finished but with how it is now it's not to bad at all. read more

If you live in the area and have the option to get Xfinity, do it. I'd prefer to be able to support a local business but Reliance Connects is unfortunately extremely unreliable and a lot more expensive. Today the internet has been down for 12 hours and counting, no ETA for repair. Last major outage? Only 4 months ago. The customer service was giving one word defensive answers when I called, which is actually unusual for them- normally the saving grace of Reliance is that they're friendly and you can reach a real human. Lived in New House for almost 6 months... within that time I am dropped from the static ip i pay extra for 2,3 or sometimes 5 times a day. They need to get their network fixed or I'm done. Got to start out by saying I had all the same problems everyone else has been saying on here and my review would have been 1 star. BUT they finally came out with 300mb and 1 gig services and the price for 1 gig is only 10$ more then I was paying for 100mb. Granted it is still steep as sandy 1gig is in the 50$ range but I'll take it. Now if you have had them for awhile you may need them to change your cables as you need cat5e or better Ethernet. Cords as this will allow for 100+mb if not you will be capped at 100mb even though you pay for 1gig. It goes down from Time to time (below 20mb) for a short period of time which sucks when gaming or streaming but they will help you even if you buy your own router system. I bought a Linksys velop system mx5300 wireless 6 technology (2 towers) And it works just fine just make sure you do not prioritize anything as you will be capped at 100mb as they been having problems they are working on. I can't believe how bad this internet service is. I pay for 100 MPS and bought the better router for an additional $100.00 and barely get 24 MPS on a good day. It sucks because my whole home runs on WIFI. They are the only game in town and they dont need to be exceptional because there is no competition and they know it. The prices reflect it. I paid 29.99 for 100 MPS with Xfinity and the WIFI service was awesome. All I get is the buffer circle of death... When I call all they tell me to do is unplug my router to reset it. How many times do I need to unplug the router until you realize the problem is not the router. read more

This is why a monopoly is a bad thing. Okay...yes, I could go with "Hughes Net" but that would probably be like six of one...half dozen of the other. This is a company that charges twice what I paid in the metro area for less than HALF the speed. And don't get me started on the regular drops and lag issues. If ANY company EVER comes in to offer competition, this business dies OVERNIGHT! (You hear that Comcast!?) Even my Direct TV has lag issues (which I have NEVER experienced until here!) And if you think that an outage or problem will get you any credit...you are sadly mistaken. They are the only game in town and that is how they run the company. They don't need customer service because they have NO COMPETITION. One can only hope that (and I shudder to say this considering the awful experience that I had with the company) even Centurylink might move this way. Reliance Connect's internet service is a complete waste of money. I haven't had this poor of WiFi in years, and it's been a fraction of the cost elsewhere. Such a shame they aren't willing to upgrade their equipment, and it's infuriating how bad they're ripping off customers. It's a 50/50 chance at best that devices will actually connect to WiFi, and once they do the internet is so slow you can't stream anything. I'm posting this using cellular data, because of course I'm unable to connect to WiFi that costs over $100 a month. Needless to say, the second an alternative option is available, I'll be switching and won't look back. read more

Not sure if this message will post, since we are once again without internet! I can't help but to agree with the 1 star ratings from 2014 & 2016. Three years later, all their issues remain in our household as well. The only difference, I do appreciate the live personal service (the staff has always been professional and pleasant) however, their hands are tied based upon what profits that the company is unwilling to sacrifice to provide quality and reliability!! Our small town is growing, so Reliance should really consider these reviews, sacrifice a few dollars and start providing better service before the competition rolls in!! Like the other reviewer, if any other options come to the area, I will switch in a heartbeat. The prices are high for the speed and service that you get. We still have issues with connectivity and speed in the house after many calls. The help they offer is most often them saying "it should work" and not having any interest in actually improving our internet connection. Not to mention they require us to have a land line that costs $30/month in order to provide us with internet. I don't have a phone in the house, but I'm paying a high cost for something I will never use. read more

Shady as shady can be. I called to set up phone and Internet. 1- I can't set up anything until the previous debt (NOT mine) for the address is paid off. 3- I need to pay off the debt, BUT they can't tell me how much the debt is. (I asked the previous owner of the house if he knew anything and he showed me PROOF they got their money from said debt) 4- I asked the woman "so if the house is sold and somebody completely unattached moved in looking for service they would need to pay _____'s bill first?" She answered "yes, that is correct". This company is the first "small" business I can't wait to see go under, at least in Estacada. I have since gone to AT&T (about $40 added to my cell bill), but I get 4G-LTE through my cell phone network. It would cost a lot if I wanted to stream Netflix and other type things, but I run WoW (an on-line game) smoothly and haven't gone over my data once. If you can avoid this company, do it. If you MUST go through them, keep good records because they WILL try to scam you. read more

We pay over $120 a month for the worst internet service ever. Office and tech people are nice, and try to help but the company itself keeps competition away and you're stuck with subpar internet at exorbitant prices. We get an average of 7 Mbps download and 0.9 upload rates with a latency around 24 ms response on the Ping tests via Ookla Speedtest consistently. read more

I just would like to say that it would be nice if this company would do right by their customers and upgrade the equipment. They know they have no competition and it shows. The DVR boxes are so antiquated and they don't work well. They are equivalent to what xfinity had like ten years ago and yet I pay more for cable/ internet now than I ever did before moving out here to estacada. I've commented a few times to the front desk staff and I got the impression that they are very aware of how bad the equipment is. When considering the level of technology that is available for HD DVRs nowadays- there is no excuse for this. Please do better! read more

We moved here in April 2018 into a brand new home with "fiber" cable, which is supposed to be super fast. I have to call at least once a month (usually twice) because the internet is very slow or not working at all. We have the "fastest and best" internet speed / package at $100 a month (!) and I've never experienced so many issues with internet in my life. Every time I call Reliance, the IT rep is very nice and fixes the issues however it's extremely frustrating to have to call 1-2 times a month for internet issues. read more

My service has never worked right in the last 4 years but yet the prices are a rip off. They looked back and saw how long my service has kept messing up. No volume sometimes or no DVR or scrambled pic. The plug diesnt fit right to box power but they say that is how they are. They have been here all.the time and have not fixwd anything. I agree with others who are tired of slow internet. Constantly having to reboot. And the constant buffering. I hate that they are the only game in town and the prices they charge for crappy internet. If it were possible to give them only a half star I would. The only thing I haven't had any issues with is customer service. But even then you can only hear " sorry, but there is nothing we can do about that". In the city of Estacada there are 400+ new homes going in and they will all be served by Reliance Connects poor slobs, but they will get the new fiber optics high speed internet. I completely agree with Todd B. as I continuously have the same issues with constant fluctuations in speed and blackouts. It does not have to be raining for this either. It happens on clear sunny days just as much as gusty rainy days. So, I agree that another company needs to come in to Estacada. I have prayed for 9 years for Comcast to come in since I am paying the same amount that I would be paying to them for high speed internet, phone, and cable television. Right now, I get phone and DSL at a whopping 12 MB/s which is maxed out. I have no long distance on my phone and only have caller ID. I pay over $100 per month for this. Absolutely ridiculous as you can imagine. Supposedly they are installing fiber. They dug up my yard about 2-3 months ago to run an empty conduit. The fiber is literally 20 feet away from my front yard as the houses that are 100 yards away on either side already have fiber in their homes, yet I keep being told that it will be quite some time before it is available. It has been 2 months since the last person who was installing the line said it would be about 2 weeks. Needless to say I am frustrated since everyone surrounding me has fiber, the line is directly across the street (marked with a post), and I am being told that it may not be in until the end of the year. Are you kidding me? I guess when you are the only provider in town, it really does not matter how you treat your customers since they have no place else to go. My wife runs a business out of our home, our kids are all being given Chrome Books from school to do their homework, and I rely on the internet for all of our other household needs. That is a total of 5 computers running off the same 12MB/s DSL line, not to mention that we only watch Netflix since I could not and would not pay for the expensive cable or satellite bill on top of the already overly inflated phone and internet bill. So, you can see that we are desperate to get the fiber, but Reliance could seem to care less. It just makes no sense that all the homes surrounding us have it and most are less than 3 years old, I have been here 10 years and continue to have to wait. read more

Since there are no other options for Cable out here in Estacada unless you go with the Dish Network it is frustrating that Reliance does not offer any sports packages at all. During baseball season most other places I have lived as well as most cable companies offer the MLB package, and the NHL Package so one can watch all the baseball games of all teams, why is this not offered. I sure as hell spend a lot of money having Cable as do others so it seems to me to be a "No Brainer". Also I recently called about my monthly bill coming at the same time every month, the beginning of the month along with all my other bills, so with my Reliance Bill being almost $200/Month with Cable/Telephone/Internet service I was hoping I could receive it more toward the middle of the month to help me financially a little. They just said the bills come out the same time for everybody, Really?? So what you can't accommodate a good customer. I think my point about this Cable Company is that it knows it has a monopoly on the area and there is a real lack of Personal Service as evidenced by just inquiring about my bill. I remeber having dialup and not having this many issues. I am constantly getting dropped internet even when no one is using it. Came home one day and it was out. They say it is my wiring, but if it a wiring issue then why does it come and go, I believe it is their inability to provide a service that they charge way to much for. I had better quality and more tv channels 20 miles up the road for less money. These people are a joke and the FCC needs to come down on companies like this. They charge you for a phone line that i dont use and don't even want because they are so out dated it isn't even funny. 12mb dsl and they can't even provide that for 50 bucks a month. I wanted to use a smaller local company for my broadband. I tried to go through Reliance Connects out of Mesquite, NV. I not only received poor and unhelpful customer service, but the "customer service" people were overtly rude both over the phone and in person. After my very negative experience, I decided I would happily spend twice as much on broadband before I would give a penny to this company. I ultimately ended up using Verizon for my broadband. Its just as fast and reasonably priced. read more

Have dealt with this bunch for two years and they are the absolute worst! Four different times they overbilled (charged us for a more expensive plan than the one on our contract). When attempting to get a refund, it was like pulling teeth. At one point they owed us the equivalent of six months service and wanted to give us a "credit" on future bills vice a refund (we disputed the credit card charge instead). We finally cancelled service and two months later are still awaiting a refund for services charged in advance. If the only alternative is two tin cans and a stringh, I'd highly recommend that over Reliance Connects! read more

This is by far the worst Internet service offered in the country! Not only is it slow and unreliable (have to reboot all the time) It is god awfully expensive. Almost $100.00 a month for Internet is ridiculous (this includes a home phone that you MUST have even if you do not use it) In Portland in if you spent $100.00 a month on Internet your connection is more than lighting fast and not to mention 99.99% reliable. It makes me sick every time a bill comes or "please no......" have to speak to them on the phone or even worse have to speak to these people they call professionals in their IT Department. I can't say enough bad things about this company. My email never works, my internet is always down, the construction they are doing on loon lake road is the most unprofessional job I have ever seen. The flaggers let you go and you end up head on with another car, the tractors and backhoe drivers don't watch what they are doing, a backhoe hit a car last week. I think that was the same day a worker in elkton cut a line and every one lost internet...... again...... Anything else is better... I'm thinking about switching to two cans and some string i think i would have better luck.... read more
