My husband and I have had several issues with the product we chose through Precision Garage Door…read more I've had to make more calls than I would like to address these issues, as has my husband. We certainly don't like to be "those people" and aren't looking to find issues out of nothing. The very last issue we had was another manufacturer issue to the door (small dents) and what we also thought was an installation issue due to a couple of the problems we saw with the chain/ door operation. We called on the Friday prior to Memorial Day and since our door is still under warranty, was able to get a no-cost appointment made with a technician for the Tuesday following Memorial Day. On Tuesday the technician was due to show between 8am and 10am. We both took the morning off work so we could be present to address the concerns with the technician. Unfortunately it started to creep up into the 10am hour and no technician had showed yet - a bit frustrating. So we called Precision Door and they ensured someone would be out to assist. Jason Schuster was the Install Manager who ended up showing to address our concerns. He was absolutely phenomenal. From the time he took to listen to our concerns and address each one with us, to the "above and beyond" steps to ensure our satisfaction and issues were addressed. He even performed an installation to sturdy our door and help ease our fears and concerns - something that fell out of the install teams hands but because he knew what to do, he took the time and did it. Jason was extremely thorough with his reasoning and brought factual education to the table to ensure we understood the product we purchased and how to know when it's a manufacturers issue verse installation issue, and so forth. He was great, I'd hands down recommend him as and Install Manager and is an extremely ethical individual who takes pride in his work. Jason made a positive impact to my husband and I, and also changed our perspective on the company Precision Door as a whole. I hope Precision Door knows that they a good one with Jason and find ways to incentivize his superior performance, workmanship, and customer service.

We were told of other components that were in need of replacement at a substantial additional cost. The Lifetime Warranty on the springs is only honored if you accept the additional suggested repairs. There is a flat charge if you decide not to use their services so you are in essence paying for the estimate. In all fairness,I believe the workers are well trained and competent but the companies businesses model and upselling of service makes me question the value.

Not happy with my experience when looking at the full picture. I had a hot tub panel install on…read more11/2020 and paid a premium for it due to the holiday season and booking backups. They had an opening and a good rating online, so we decided to go with them. This March (3/2026) as I was freshening up my hot tub for spring, I noticed that only half the jets were working on only one side of the tub. I started troubleshooting what might be the issue and eventually made my way to the electrical box for the hot tub unit. I opened it up and noticed what looked like corrosion on the key/plug. When I pulled it out and gave it a closer look, I noticed that 3/4 main wires were completely fried or corroded. Yikes, that is probably the issue. When I called Mr. Electric's service center, I was met with no concern (Oh my, that doesn't sound good - yeah, you think?) and no offer to come out and inspect the work and then repair the issue (past the warranty period), just that another technician could come out and do the repair work for us. Why would I pay for your techs to come out when I'm experiencing shoddy work from you guys already? I pay a professional to do the job right, the first time around, so that I don't have to get things re-done and spend more money. With the track record I already had with them, I opted to not re-hire. I instead went with my main HVAC/electrical/plumbing company who came out and repaired and cleaned everything up (and stands by their work every time). When talking to the electrician who came out, he mentioned the reason this whole thing happened was because the wires were not tightened correctly during the initial install, one of the wires became loose overtime, overheated and then fried the other ones. The box that housed the electrical unit was closed and always locked with a padlock (so that my kids wouldn't open it up and messed around with it). When I mentioned that to the electrician, he said it was probably a poor install from the get-go. I'm so glad I caught it when I did, I hate to think the harm this incompetent install could have caused to my house and family. Not sure if those loose & overheated wires could have caused a house fire but I wouldn't want to risk it regardless. I will never hire this company again.
