This was one of the worst experiences we've had with any service, and I would strongly caution anyone considering using this business. We hired this company for an interstate move from Florida to Missouri. At pickup, after our belongings were already loaded onto the truck, we were informed of additional charges and required to pay by cash or money order. We were also told that if we did not comply, our belongings would be placed into storage at a rate of $250 per day. At that point, we had no real ability to decline or make alternative arrangements, as our items were already in their possession. Weeks later, while our belongings were still in their control, we were informed of an additional $1,000 "shuttle fee," again without any practical ability to refuse. When delivery was eventually made, the movers indicated they drove the same truck from Florida to our location, which raised serious concerns about whether that charge was legitimate. Delivery was also late beyond the 14-business-day contractual window. When our belongings finally arrived, they were in unacceptable condition. Three boxes were missing. A treadmill that was fully functional before the move is now non-functional, missing parts, and visibly damaged. A framed picture arrived shattered, with broken glass spread onto other belongings. Canvas artwork was scratched, and additional items, including a mannequin and decor pieces, were damaged. We also discovered that one of our boxes had been opened and repacked. The box was wide open, the contents were not packed the way we originally packed them, and the protective materials we used were missing. Fragile artwork had been placed at the bottom of the box with a heavy tote on top. Communication throughout the process was extremely poor. We made multiple attempts to contact the company via email and phone and did not receive meaningful responses or clear updates. We also reviewed the company's USDOT and MC registrations in the FMCSA database. Based on our review at the time, the registration did not appear to show proper authorization for interstate household goods transportation, which raised additional concerns. Additionally, based on our research, the business appears to operate under different names. At the time of writing this review, we found references to the name "Best Relocators," which added to our concerns about transparency and consistency. Overall, this experience involved unexpected charges after our belongings were taken, delayed delivery, missing items, damaged property, opened and repacked boxes, and a lack of communication. I strongly recommend that anyone considering a moving company do thorough research in advance. Verify USDOT/MC numbers directly on the FMCSA website, confirm that the company is properly authorized for interstate moves, and ensure a consistent, verifiable business presence. Do not hire this company unless you want your belongings treated like absolute garbage. They showed up FIVE HOURS late and acted like it was no big deal. No professionalism, no urgency, barely any communication. That should've been the first red flag. When I finally opened my U-Haul pods, I was honestly speechless at how careless and lazy the packing job was. The first thing that happened was a large mirror practically FALLING out of the pod because apparently securing items properly was too much to ask. My TV boxes looked like they were thrown in by people who genuinely could not care less if they got destroyed. And honestly, that tracks -- because while they were loading at my house, one of the movers literally DROPPED my TV onto the ground and didn't even apologize. No "sorry," no concern, nothing. Just complete disrespect for other people's property. We were provided moving blankets to protect our furniture, but instead of actually using them, they barely wrapped anything and seemed to just toss the blankets into the pod at the end so it looked like they tried. Pure laziness. I paid for movers so my belongings would be handled safely and professionally. Where do I begin if I could give this company and the entire process zero stars I would so let's start from the beginning. I received a quote from a gentleman name Arthur over the next few weeks. I ask him how much my quote will go up. They quoted me a little under $1300 for a move that included no beds no large furniture 20 something boxes some plastic tubs, a few IKEA shelves, a loveseat and two big mirrors Again I asked Arthur several times via email and over the phone and he said you will only go over your quote if you go over your a lot at 300 ft.³. Jumping ahead just now I only went over by 50 ft.³. So reading the documents, it says upon close out of move a transportation fee and gas is due so I assumed even though those were steep at over $700 each that I would pay those at the end therefore again I paid my 300 deposit 600 when they picked up my stuff and the rest should've been paid on delivery Well, after they load my things into the truck, they tell me that my quote is in my email my updated quote and I look at it and my $1300 move is now a $4800 move and they are demanding another $2600 in that moment on site or wire transfer the next morning and charge me $250 for storage for one night, so obviously I have no choice cause I don't have $2600 sitting around Very deceptive in the quote they do not include everything that will be due so what they do is this company they send you this quote because oh they know it'll look the best and then they charge you more than any other company was quoting you in the beginning Then they charge me for three large items two were mirrors that on delivery one person carried into my house. The other was a TV stand and they said the foreman on site determines that there is no foreman on site. There is a camera in the moving truck supposedly which I do not believe because when I post a picture of this moving truck, you will see they pack your shit in so unprofessionally. Fast-forward to delivery day I said can you make sure they deliver between the eighth and 20 August? I don't hear anything send an emails getting no response on the eighth. I get a call telling me my Mover is trying to contact me. I said well what if I was not available and the young woman on the phone told me it's my job to be available until my stuff is delivered you know forget the fact that people work and have families and kids to take care of, but that's neither here no there or just another example of poor customer service. My stuff finally shows up they start unloading the truck. It's not my stuff. My two mirrors are heavily damaged again. I had to pay them another $1200 one delivery and the way they pack these things into this truck. I will post a picture. It's horrible. Your stuff is not cared for well not taking care of. Well I would never ever ever ever ever recommend this company and I will be filing several complaints with the Florida Department of transportation and the Better Business Bureau . Avoid This Moving Company - A Complete Scam! If I could give zero stars, I would. Hiring Reliable Relocators DBA Omar Delivery Service LLC was the worst decision I made during an already stressful time. I was quoted $298.97 for my move, which was supposed to include three movers and three hours of service. After paying my deposit, Arthur McKinney (Quality Assurance Manager) disappeared and became completely unresponsive. On moving day, only two movers showed up, demanded an extra $150, and before even leaving my old residence, they hit me with a $2,000 bill--a far cry from my original quote. When I refused, they held my belongings hostage, telling me I had to pay 70% to get them back and to "call the police if I had an issue." Spoiler alert: the police couldn't do anything since it's a civil matter. To make things worse, they damaged my $2,000 sectional and caused property damage to my new community. I paid $400 on the same day with bank transfer. The schedule pickup date was 07/05 and scheduled delivery at Cary, North carolina was between 07/07 to 07/08. Per contract, I had to pay rest amount 50% at pickup and rest 50% at delivery. I obliged the contract and paid $500 (1398-400=998. 50% of 998 is 500) on 07/05 during pickup. Driver and assistances had seen my packets and started loading into their trucks. However after loading the households things, their office called me and asked for $17094. I denied and requested to offload everything but they denied and did nt allow. We also said that me and my wife to offload but they didnt allow. Then they made an offer of me paying $2900 meaning to pay $2000 as I paid already $900. I said max to max I can pay another $1100 meaning total $2000 ($1100+$900paid). In between the driver step away from my apartment without saying anything while the phone calls was ON with the office people and started moving the Truck. I called immediately the driver and office but none picked my call nor replied to emails. Today when I called them to enquire about the delivery, they are saying my packets are in florida and i have to pay $8500 otherwise they will not transfer. Once the truck was loaded I was told the cost was $2,400 and they kept my stuff hostage till I figured out how to get the cash. It was Saturday afternoon and they refused to take a credit card. if I could leave them negative stars, I would. I was quoted $265 for a move that was 8 miles away to a storage facility. I two and obviously a truck. When they got there, there were three of them and their truck had broken down. As they pulled in their alternator was smoking and I think at one point maybe even on fire so they use their fire extinguisher and I also with my garden hose. I paid $150 down and was told to pay them $80 when they got there before they start loading and the other $35 when they unloaded my stuff into my storage unit. After I gave them the $80 they loaded up my stuff and they were very rough handling my things. Once everything was loaded, they closed the door on the truck, locked the door and sat on the and told me I was be getting a phone call shortly. When I got the phone call the lady her name was Alexis. I believe said she sent me an email updated quote. I opened the and the updated quote was now $2056.65. I immediately told them that's not what we agreed upon and that I was gonna call the police because they were scamming me. The police came. There's nothing that they can do and that it was a civil matter. Since I had already had such bad and lost my home because I couldn't pay for it. I lost all my credit cards before that and here these guys are holding all my stuff in their trailer and threatening me with him garish my wages, and putting a lien on the house that they were going to take all my stuff and put it in warehouse and charge me $250 a day for storage. It killed me to say it, but I told them fine. Keep it keep it all. they were there for 6 1/2 hours because waiting on their mechanic to show up and fix their truck and during that time people from the office as well as these three guys tried getting me to and even offering at one point to just take everything leave it in my driveway for $400. I just said no keep it. I'm getting into a truck to drive over the road for a couple years. I'll just replace it all when I'm ready. Once the mechanic was nearly finished with the repairs on their truck and after all their attempts at getting me to pay the upgraded price they finally got tired and they just took all my stuff out of the truck once again handling it very rough roughly and left everything in my driveway. These people are crooks. I was given a quote of $450 to move stuff from my house to a storage unit. I was suppose to have 3 guys to do the move. They only sent 2. They started wrapping up stuff with shrink wrap. Not telling me that this wrap was $ 800 a roll. I showed them what was to be moved. I showed them stuff that was boxed up and taped up in the garage that could be moved. Instead of just taking the boxed up stuff , they took their own boxes and put other stuff in it and put it on the truck. They ended up charging me $1316 for materials used. When everything was loaded they were going to follow me to the storage unit. While waiting in my car , one of the guys, whose name was Zero, got out and told me they couldn't leave until the office called me and told me my final cost. I waited a little while and no one called . I finally called the office myself. A lady named Alexis got on the phone and told me my final bill was $4400. 10times more than I was quoted. I told her I was not paying that. The movers could take the stuff back off the truck. She told me to do that I would have to give them $3100 cash. They would not accept a check or card. After arguing with her, she said the guys would follow me to the bank to get cash. If I did not pay the the $4400 , they would take my stuff to a storage unit , I would be charged $250 a day for storage and after 30 days it would go up for auction. After the auction, I would still be responsible for the balance and they would sue me . They would put a lien on my properties and garnish my wages. I am a 65 year old senior citizen and this was definitely a scam. The best part is the Forman lost is impact drill. We looked around the house and couldn't find it. After they emptied the truck at the warehouse, he said he needed to go back to my house to find his drill. He followed my husband back to the house. Still couldn't find the drill. They only had to take one desk apart cuz everything else was already taken apart. I'm pretty sure they wrapped it up with desk with some of that $800 a roll wrap. But guess what. He told my husband that he thought I stole it. Why would I steal a $100 drill. My husband has a whole shop full of them. I am going to contact the BBB, the local news and an attorney.
