Soooo, into each garden a little rain must fall, and so last week I had not hot water for a few days. It is awful having to go to the gym to take a shower! This plumbing issue is covered under my home warranty plan and they called the plumber they contract with. In this case, it was Reliable Plumbing. The lady in their office called me immediately and told me they would not be able to have someone out for a few days because they has water leak emergencies and my situation was not in this category- the water went cold on me at 5 am and thank goodness I was almost done and had already rinsed the shampoo out of my hair. I wrapped a towel around me and immediately went to the garage to see if the tank had leaked- no Thank God. I then wen to the kitchen and bathroom sinks and there was no hot water there either. When I came home my brother got in face time with me and told me how to shut off the gas that was coming in- it appeared like the flame was out but we did. It know why. Reliable plumbing called me two days earlier than anticipated and said they could get someone out to my house in 20 minutes so I was thrilled. Anthony arrived and he was so polite and got on the phone with my brother and explained what was going on. Everything was in working order so all he could think is that a heavy gust of wind came down the air vent and blew out the flame. He got everything working and waited until the unit got up to the proper temperature and shut itself off. He said if it shut off prior to coming to proper temperature, that would have been an indication of another issue. As soon as he left, I had to do a product test and stayed under the hot water in my shower for a long time- it was delightful! I am grateful they were able to get to my job a few days early! read more

Air conditioner started leaking again after their last visit four days previously, to stop the leaking. Got screamed at by the owner on the phone, stating I was just another damn stupid person living in El Paso who didn't have HVAC, and the owner's wife had told him to stop servicing other systems besides HVAC. The owner has apparently indoctrinated some of his employees to be tattle tales, and if you say anything that they can call the owner about on the employees phone, and state incompletely what was said and in the context it was said, the owner starts screaming on the phone and being extremely condescending and very vitriolic with his language. I will never use their services again, and the "have a blessed day" that they all spew is just simply distasteful. I did like a few of their technicians on previous appointments, but this last time broke the camel's back. read more

I've really gone back and forth about writing this review, but finally I decided I need to. I used Reliable in early 2024, and had a good experience. When I called them back for 2 sluggish bathroom sinks, it was a disaster. The man they sent (he told me he was 28 and from Nebraska - of course, he didn't offer me his name) basically disconnected the pipes under one sink and told me he couldn't fix the clog without tearing out the rock wall and tracing the line. When I asked the cost he said between $1000 and $1600. I asked him to simply reconnect the pipes and I'd think about it. He refused to reconnect the pipe, never really giving an acceptable answer as to why he couldn't do what I requested. He was pompous and money hungry and basically full of his own self determined importance. I hate to say this, but don't trust them. They are out for money and don't care if their service is even acceptable. read more

The quote of $75 an hour seemed fair. But how did the bill came to $600 after 5 hours, which included the time taken for 2 trips to the store because he didn't get the right part. The parts included 2 shut off valves, and 3-4 PVC parts (one he admitted didn't need changing). When I asked for an itemized receipt, I was told they can't do that or I'd have to pay tax. Let's do the math: $600.00 (Water Heater plus parts) + $130.29 (City Permit) = $730.29 $730.29 + $1,469.71 = $2,200.00 In summary: Mr. Pagan was charging me $1,469.71 for labor!!! 9. The above is a perfect example of a LIAR and a THIEF! 10. I, offered to pay Mr. Pagan $1,200.00 through my attorney and Mr. Pagan refused the offered. I have had OK luck with this company before, but this time they sent incompetent people who did not know what they were doing and screwed up my toilet worse so that I now can't use it because I have to shut off the water to it to keep it from running. They said they fixed it by replacing the gasket for which they charged $100 but that didn't fix it and it still runs, and actually the problem I asked them to fix was something different and I think they caused the toilet to start to run when they were fixing the other problem which was water spraying out when we flushed it. The guy messed with it a long time before calling his boss because he didn't know what to do and I think he broke something while he was messing with it because it didn't run before. The company is now not answering their phone nor are they returning my calls. Stay away! Get someone else. read more

I contacted Reliable Plumbing regarding a water heater gas leak. They live up to their name and were able to show promptly within 2 hrs as stated on initial phone call. Ivan and and Andres showed up and got straight to work identifying the problem right away, Ivan explained what the issue was and what was needed to repair it. Problem was fixed and the gas leak was resolved in less than an hour. Major props to Ivan's customer service that goes above and beyond to make sure our needs as a customer were met. Reliable was consulted regarding gas leaks at our house. Gas leaks are especially difficult to find as they can be just about anywhere the line goes, from the supply source to the end appliance. Reliable stayed with the project until all leaks were found, 7 in all. They corrected the leaks and worked on it diligently so that we could turn our gas on as soon as possible. They explained their work along the way. They didn't replace covers and appliances as I would have thought they would, but they did do the work they were consulted to do and they were professional at it. Thanks to Ivan of Reliable plumbing. HORRIBLE service!!! They were contracted by Lowes to install my new dishwasher. They first broke the door on my old dishwasher (Bosch) that was in perfect working condition. Then they cut the wires from the door to the machine. They then hauled it away from my house. This was all done without my permission. (THE BEST PART IS THAT I HAVE THEM RECORDED ON MY PHONE SAYING THEY WERE SORRY AND I TOLD THEM THEY SHOULD HAVE ASKED MY PERMISSION AND THEY AGREED) But they told Lowes it was not there fault. I also have them on video as I have security cameras inside my house. I will tell EVERYONE of their horrible service! Beware, do not use them!!! They couldn't even install my new dishwasher!!! We had an increasingly high water bill each month so we finally called a plumber to find the problem. They found several problems areas and replaced some shower heads and faucets and fixed a leak under the v bathroom sink and behind the toilet all in the same day. Raymond is a crook. He wanted to charge me over $1,500 for a new water heater. He added on multiple extras that were not covered by my home warranty to the tune of over $1,000. He told me it was in order to meet city codes. When I told Raymond that I decided to go with another company, he called the city inspection office to retaliate. A city inspector came by and I told her the story of the attempt to price gouge me, and she agreed that $1,500 was too much. Well, the city just came by to inspect the new water heater, and lo and behold, IT PASSED without all these extras that Reliable Plumbing said were needed to meet city code. Service was contracted thru home insurance and after waiting for almost a week, they show up to fix a bathroom/shower valve, the see that the cap was off from pulling it when water would not start. then plumber steps out of the house to call First american insurance. apparently if the shower cap is off, then they CANNOT due full evaluation or service the valve because its "intact". they just went back to their truck without explaining what the issue was. Absolutely NO concern for the client. they could have explained the issue, I could have repositioned the valve (it takes literally 10 seconds to do). Seems like they are crossing their fingers to find any irregularity not to work. dont waste your time and call some one else. read more

Horrible experience. They came to work on a leak and claim it was a water pressure value that needed to be replaced cuz pressure was to high. They said they wouldn't warranty the work but I needed the leak fix and they ended damaging my shower and would not warranty their damage and owner was rude. Extremely disappointed in how they treated my 80-plus-year-old parents. On July 2, they replaced the fill valve and associated parts to fix a running toilet and replaced the toilet seat. The first problem was that they installed a standard seat on an elongated bowl. How does that happen? If that weren't bad enough, the toilet started running again less than a month later. When my parents called them, they wanted to charge a $65 trip charge and said there was no warranty. Avoid Reliable Plumbing at all costs! read more

I called Reliable Plumbing for a leaky water heater in my garage. Someone answered my call immediately. I decided to just make an appointment since it was late on a Friday afternoon and the water leak was confined to a small area. Reliable Plumbing sent Albert and Charlie to my house on schedule on July 3, 2018. They told me I needed a new water heater which didn't surprise me. It was already 12 years old with rust at the bottom. We made plans to have the repair done the next day. Since it was going to be a holiday, Albert called to make sure a new water heater would be available for them to install from their supplier. Albert and Charlie came on time the next morning on July 4th. Both were very friendly and polite. They told me exactly what they were going to do and answered all my questions. Even though they said it would take 3 hours, it actually took less than that. The new water heater was installed professionally. All the insulation, caulking, pipe welding, and the rest of the installation was done very well. I had more questions about the maintenance and operation of the water heater that Albert answered.
