If they think it might be a collectable they look it up on eBay and base a price off that. Blessings thrift store needs to realize that eBay is a International market with millions of buyers not a Tiny town in the middle of no where. I can go to Wal Mart and do that. (Yes, I am exposing myself shamlessly as a cheapskate). At Gods closet they welcome, NO, revere the cheapskate! Their prices make the average garage sale hound drool. It is fantastic. Stemware for 10 cents (why is there no cents sign on my computer, clearly not a cheapskate computer) Curling irons for 50 cents! Is anyone elses respiration increasing? Shirts, 50 cents, pants for less than a dollar! I can't stand it. Jewelry, all sorts of stuff priced to drive a cheapskate nuts. Secondly, the ladies who volunteer there are also very nice, I like them even more because they are the ones who price the stuff. Now, for you poor individuals who live in Seattle this is no easy drive. It is off of exit 68, then go 20 miles east down Highway 12 into Salkum to get to this little gem of a place, right next to Salkum market. But if you ever camp out this way, stop in. If your respiration can handle it!

I have to say without question, that the Centralia Square Antique store is in the former category --- it is worth it! The owners/employees are friendly and easy to talk to. When it comes to antique stores, this place has to be one of the most organized, tidy, and well-kept shops I have ever been to! Each section of the monstrously large store is clean and easy to look at. There is virtually no clutter and the items for sale are in good quality. One of my favorite things about it, is that there is a huge amount of variety throughout the store. Everything from furniture, to toys, to jewelry, artwork, music/records, comics, décor ... you name and they probably got it. The only thing that's keeping me from giving it that fifth star are the prices. While the majority of items for sale are of good quality, the prices are a wee bit steep for an antique/used items store - not the bargain that you'd like to find. Still, all things considered, I would recommend stopping in and take a look. I have been there a number of times and will continue coming back, looking for that diamond in the rough and unique and timeless treasure!

Jewelry, cards, bath bombs, shower steamers, artwork, clothes and so much more! It looks like they get most of their stock from local artists and creators! I was told they have new stock every week which is so impressive and incredible. This is the perfect spot to grab gifts or to treat yourself to something nice. The store organization and layout is well-maintained and thoughtful as you can walk by other patrons without bumping into them. The female employee working was absolutely sweet and she would check in with us often to see if we were finding everything okay or would explain to me the products in the store. The prices here are fair and I definitely think it accommodates all types of budgets, which is key I feel especially with the current economy. Additionally, they are dog friendly and even have treats for dogs. The lady told me that regulars who walk their dogs would try to come in as they know the spot for giving treats. It's a very cute, quaint shop that I look forward to coming back to whenever I'm in the area.

Most quilt stores get 5 ***** because they are loaded with fabric and the service is usually friendly and helpful. This rating is a rounding off of the store which deserves 5 stars and the rudeness of the service which deserves 1 star. To begin with -- we loved the store when we first walked on. There are tons of samples of items here including craft things to make and qult designs. However, we were greeted by the owner as we walked up the stairway to one section and told to come down. We were also told where to stand as she decided we needed a history lesson on the location and store. We did not want that or need that. Eventually, we were able to go explore on our own --- which we love to do. My daughter was up going through the bin of clearance items and was "told" several times to move so those there could go get their lunches or whatever. However, the worst part of the experience here was at check-out. Obviously, this store is a place to socialize in town and that's exactly what "Barbara" the sales person was doing at the cutting table. I stood there and stood there and stood there listening to her chat, exchange pictures and discuss goings on. She had long finished with the customer so it wasn't like she was providing the service. When I said something she reached over and asked how much yardage I wanted and went on with the conversation with her friends (they were no longer customers as they had long been waited on). We had to actually make comments to her about finishing up so she could help us. Terrible service. Not sure we will ever be back.

It is so worth the short drive. The owners are a couple. One of them paints, makes collages and upcycles some of their wares. His art tickles me. I buy the postcards with abandon. While I am buying I chat with the other owner who is charming and warm and friendly. This a terrific town to spend a Saturday in. Don't miss this spot while you are there.
