Lately I've discovered the wonder of foot massage places. The beauty of a late night, walk in destination for a relaxing self-care moment. This is the second place I've tried and each one definitely had their own style, technique, and vibe inside the location. When entering the facility there is a sign instructing customers to sign in and wait for a staff member to become available. They have a computer monitor which shows the time left for each staff, which is quite nifty. I waited about 5 minutes before being seen at 9:15pm. I was happy to wait and happy to be seen so late. I was offered water and my timer was started. Gina did a 40-minute reflexology foot massage and it was heavenly. The whole time I kept my eyes shut and listened to the relaxing music playing. The chairs are wide and pretty comfy. They can recline if you'd like. They place a soft dark green towel on your body, soak your feet in a warm tub and then start the massage one foot at a time. Some points were tender and made me want to clinch, but I tried to breathe through it as I know the reflexology benefits. It was interesting to see how one foot had different tender spots than the other. Gina was so strong and never let up. She was consistent with her pressure and it felt like she was taking her time. I will definitely be back to see if Gina can do a full body massage on me :) She was great! read more

Strangest massage I've ever gotten. I got 1 hour full body, which ALWAYS includes tops of shoulders and feet. Those are the only 2 places i care about. An older guy did it. Spoke zero English, which I usually don't care about, but he didn't know what he was doing. Poor thing. I layed on my stomach the whole time and he poked my back & legs with his elbow for an hour. I never flipped over. He never massaged my shoulders or feet. I'm so confused. I had a huge heavy towel laying down my whole body, with full clothes on underneath. I don't know how anybody can feel a massage that way. I sure didn't. I tried to ask him about my feet but he had no idea what I was saying. I should have gone grocery shopping. read more

This was the worst massage . Massaged me with a towel over me . He had gloves on. Literally moved in one spot for the longest time with his forearm a few times . kept massaging over the bone and that hurts. Never turned me over. You could tell he never went to massage school. Never a fan of these type of massage places that are open floor tables and don't use lotion but 95% of the 60 minute massage I had was on my upper back where they basically try digging their elbows into you as hard as humanly possible. I can't praise this place enough. They opened while I was away at college and the first thing I'd do when I'd come home was run over here. I've lived in many places and nothing quite compares to Relaxing Station! Seriously strong, hard-working employees. I think what blows my mind is the convenience of it- it's effortless to make it a weeknight occasion. They're open late and (nearly) always have availability when I walk in. I've arrived at 6, 7, 8, 9 PM you name it, they make room for me. And the price is almost a steal. I appreciate that because then I can leave a 20-40% tip which I am HAPPY to do here, they deserve it. Love this place -- have been coming for years! Their foot massages are unparalleled, and I have never found anywhere better. I would say it does sometimes get busy and there is a wait (especially if there are only a couple people working), so you may have to be flexible, but it is SO worth it and I always return even if they don't have time for me at the moment. Most do not speak English very well, but are so kind and make sure they are going at the right speed/strength. I have asked for harder/softer massage and they do a great job catering to your style. I paid for a chair massage and chose the hardest pressure . I was givin a guy with no name tags but on the screen his number was 77. The guy spent more time rubbing my legs and lower area,he barely applied and pressure was doing the same movement not really massage me. THEN TO TOP IT ALL OFF HE STARTS TO WHISPER SO LUCKY YOU SO BEAUTIFUL! I said what and he wouldn't answer me then he would repeat it again and I said excuse me left Ed my head and he said oh not done then said it one more time before tapping me and saying I was done. Just finished a thirty minute foot massage and I have to say it was the best one I have ever received. I work as a CNA and am on my feet all day working with patients, so I was in a dire need for a massage recently. They soak your feet in warm water for 2-3 mins appx. and apply oil to the calfs and feet. Massage included calfs, ankles, and feet. In addition, they do a slight deep tissue tapping on the calfs and feet, which loosened up my muscles. Each leg received 15 mins of massaging. The atmosphere is very calming with light Chinese music/nature sounds and they play nature videos on a flat screen. I almost fell asleep! Well worth the money for the service. read more

What a wonderful experience. This is the place to go to have all your stress and sore muscles rubbed away. I am not sure how my massage therapist knew to focus on my sore spots, but he didn't stop until I was feeling super relaxed... Well mostly like Jell-O. The place was very clean and tidy. This is a quick walk in massage place that is very reasonably priced. The foot massages and chair massages are better than the full body massage. I recommend a combo body and foot. All one hour treatments are $35. The place is clean and friendly. For foot massage, they soak feet first and then get you massage going. So cheap and cheerful! The body massages are on the open floor so they aren't as good because they don't put oils on the body or anything. They wear gloves and cover you with towels and blankets. I chose a 60min full body massage and it felt great! I'm not sure when the negative reviews were written in relation to their - I'm guessing newish - communication system which addresses those reviewers' issues. When you sign in, you specify how you like your massage on a numbered scale system (hard/soft, slow/fast movement, etc) and before beginning with your masseuse, you specify by pointing on a card with a translation for them any details on your preference i.e. harder, softer, mostly (point to body area), don't touch (point to body area), etc. I liked it; it made for efficient communication that was to the point and started my massage quickly. If you absolutely have to have someone speak English to you, then you should go elsewhere. Otherwise, they've made it easy to communicate your wants, needs and preferences. Offering a bottle of water without charge is a nice touch, too. You can't beat the price, but it still wouldn't be worth it if the massage itself wasn't good - and the massage absolutely is a good one. I'll be back regularly! read more
