Here's the truth: I've had some good massages here. The inconsistency between the "therapists" is ridiculous. I'm pretty sure none of them is formally trained and certified. Today my lower back was bothering me, which is not my usual issue. Since they don't seem to speak English, I used their translation card to ask for a focus area. The guy who worked on me clearly did not have the basic knowledge of anatomy to pass for a therapist. When he asked me to sit up, the base of my spine was basically immovable without sharp pain. He had further injured it and I just wanted to get out of there without crying. I tried to communicate to him that i needed a doctor but he then pushed again *extra hard* on my lower spine. It was all I could do not to scream, and I have a high pain tolerance! Now I'm going to see a doctor if I can manage to drive with my back out. It seems to be some kind of a spine/disc problem that's never happened to me before. The doctor will know. And a TRAINED MASSAGE THERAPIST would have known that pressing hard directly on the spine was not the answer. Jesus H. Christ! I don't think there's any recourse, but buyer beware! You never know what you're going to get. On the plus side, I've been cured of my weekly habit of stopping by these pop-up massage spots. What a find this place is! Where else can you walk in, with no appointment, at 7:30 at night to get a quality massage? And for a very reasonable price. It feels refreshingly simple. There are no long forms to fill out - no forms at all, in fact. You don't give them your email. Walk in and you're on a table in 2 minutes. Just make sure you tell them how much pressure to apply and communicate if it's too much. read more

This place is really bad! Nobody speaks English so you can't tell them if they're hurting you! My male massager (he's no therapist) pushed so hard he really hurt me near my kidney and I asked him three times to be softer. He should have been able to pick up on my body cues and resistance even if he can't speak English. I swear he was angry and taking it out on me! They don't replace the sheet when one customer gets up and another lays down. There is a total feel of repression and anger amongst the staff. I ended up at the chiropractor because I had back pain that got worse in the days after the massage. I can't imagine these people are licensed. They didn't act like any professional massage therapist I've ever had. I spent $100 at the chiropractor and it took 3 weeks for the pain to go away. They should be shut down. read more

SEXUAL HARASSMENT! Do not go here! I was a regular patron of the Relaxing Station for a year and had only positive experiences until this week. The man that did my massage started grinding his crotch against the table vigorously and then groped me inappropriately and removed the towel in order to do so as he pressed his erection against me. No I was not confused. He at least acted as though he didn't speak English or understand when I became upset. He definitely understood what he did. This was disgusting and left me feeling violated and humiliated. There is no email on the website and my calls to relaxing station are not returned. They have not responded via social media either. By ignoring me the company is complicit in this sexual harassment and assault and I feel the general public should be aware of this practice. read more

Best massage- really helped release the tension around my shoulder and lower back. Yes this is not a luxury place like St Julien, but it is clean, friendly, AND a fraction of the cost. You get what you pay for. This place was ok. I've been to many massage places and this one was one of those in & out stops. You keep your clothes on and they basically get all of your pressure points. My friend Casey and I had never been and we filled out the page incorrectly lol but thankfully there was a woman there who went faithfully and showed us the ropes. Overall a 3 and that's because I'm just very critical of massage places. I like a good deep, get the kinks out rub and this was more of a relaxation, pressure point rub. I'm so happy this place exists in Boulder! I can get picky when it comes to reflexology and massages, but this place did not disappoint. The ambiance is welcoming, spacious, quiet and clean. The staff are very professional, efficient and friendly. They don't speak much English but there are translation cards to help communicate your desired pressure, type of massage, etc. I chose a 40 minute full body massage since I got there near closing, and it was amazing. Perfect pressure and pacing and I just about fell asleep. The only thing is they don't do face-up massages, but it still felt thorough and complete. I had Frank as my massage therapist and he was great! Next time I'll do the combination foot and body massage :) read more

The body odor emanating from this place is so strong and nauseating, I've walked out on several occasions. The uniform clothing of khakis and polos the workers wear are so obviously unclean and not regularly cleaned there's no doubt where the unpleasant smells come from. These workers are not professionally trained massage therapists. In fact, there is no certification of training for any of them and it shows in the lack of consistency in what you receive for your money. There is no English communication going on here. You must text your English to a Chinese translator on your phone and show it to your "therapist" to communicate. I feel sorry for the people working here, I'm not sure they are here because they want to be. read more

Boulder location, proceed with caution. I went for a laying down 30 min back session. Two days later I can't move my neck. Twice, I asked him for less pressure. The whole session was entirely too much pressure. I did not feel the injury at the time - it took two days for the immobility to set in. If you are thin or slight of frame beware. Due to the language barrier, be entirely sure that you are understood in the level of pressure you can tolerate prior to the session. If you are looking for an intuitive body worker do not go here! I don't like to post bad reviews unless they are warranted as I would like their business to thrive, but when you have to cancel your day due to poor service provided, I can't keep it to myself. This place is amazing! I was given a gift certificate and had no idea what to expect. It's bright, clean, well-organized, and spacious. No appointment, no wait (though I did come in at an off hour, so I'm not sure what it would be like after work). I had no idea chair massage could be so effective! This used to be a hidden gem. But now it gets so crowded and people don't treat it the way they should - talking, laughing. It's a big room with lots of tables and it's hard to relax with all the noise and commotion. Just now the woman next to me was snoring so loudly I had to leave in the middle of my massage. This place is great for a quick massage! Not super personalized but enough to relieve some tension!

I am unbelievably frustrated and disgusted--they stole my cashmere scarf! I left the place in a bit of a sleepy daze after getting a 30 minute reflexology session (which was nice, the actual massage here is not great. The woman was so distracted that she poked and kept massaging my EYE when she was supposed to be rubbing my temples, for example) and forgot my scarf. When I came back about an hour later, they claimed that they didn't have it and the woman who did my massage wouldn't even make eye contact with me. It was very difficult to even communicate because none of them speak english. They claimed that another customer stole it, which I find extremely hard to believe. I've been 3 times. Combo massage consists of 1/2 hour back body massage, clothes on, and half hour lower leg and foot massage. Massage is broad strokes where you feel the lumps in your tight muscles slowly go away as the massage proceeds. Good attention to all areas but no frontal massage. Face rest is comfortable. Choose pressure from a menu as very little english is spoken by the staff which makes for a nice quiet environment. Foot massage is a 5 minute hot water soak and firm, thorough foot and calf massage. Free bottle of water. Ambiance is open, quiet and clean. Staff is quiet, efficient, quick and professional. Background sounds are soothing but varies from bird chirps and bird calls to Yoga Musak. The best part is it's only 35 bucks. Relaxing and nice break to the day. read more
