So after putting aside my pride, I finally decided to get a massage because I was in intense pain after waking up one morning last week. I went to Knead a Massage and I had a great experience. My therapist Cherre found multiple knots in my neck and shoulders. Not only was my neck in pain but Cherre was able to loosen the muscles under the shoulder and above my armpits and it relieved 70% of the pain from my neck. It was unbelievable how much knowledge and experience that my therapist had in injuries and problems like mine. I thought u could get a back rub at the mall and that would be enough. When I found exactly that on the BodyRevive website, I sent a request for info through the website. I didn't hear anything for a few days, so I decided to call during business hours. The first time I called, I spoke with Phyllis who told me all about the couples massage class. I requested an appointment date & time and she said she would get back to me to let me know if that would work. After a few more days, no call back. I then called and left voice messages 3 or 4 more times over the course of 2 weeks. In my last voice message, I even quoted her outgoing voice message back to her where she says that voice messages will be returned within 24 hours. My messages were kind & forgiving, even asking if there was a conflict with the date I had chosen or if she had some kind of situation come up where she couldn't accommodate. Unfortunately, none of my messages were returned. I'm left with nothing but a mystery. It would be my great pleasure to remove this review if Phyllis would just reply and try to make things right with me. She has such great reviews from everyone else; I would like to join in their chorus! For now, I'm giving BodyRevive a 2 because they have a great website, offer great services, have many enthusiastic 5-star reviews, and Phyllis was very professional to speak with on the phone. I've had massages at all kinds of places, from small studios to high-end resort spas, and sometimes I don't know what I really paid for. Phyllis is definitely one of the best (if not the best) masseuse I've ever had! On top of that, she offers massage at very reasonable prices ($65 an hour). Right now, she is even offering a deal so you get 5 massages for the price of 4! One of the things I really like is that Phyllis always gives you a full hour (or more!) - your time starts when you're on the table. She gives you the 4-star resort treatment using aromatherapy oils, massage lotion, warm towels and the like. She'll even heat the massage table which I appreciate. You'll feel like you're on vacation! She also offers you tea or water and organic fruit after the massage and asks for feedback or constructive criticism. Who does that these days? While her massages are a deal you definitely don't get jipped on the service! When I just want a good massage and don't need the extra amenities that you pay for at a resort spa, Body Revive Wellness is perfect! As a chiropractor, I am always in constant motion with my job, and it is very physically demanding. In addition to that, I work out anywhere from 4-6 days of the week, and the best I can do at the moment for my recovery periods is foam rolling, stretching, and basic yoga. So when I get the opportunity to have a massage, I know I need someone who is equipped to take on the challenge of getting every muscle in my body, and working out a lot of fascia and tissue that gets chronically tight. And that's not easy. I'm 6'2"/215 lbs. Aside from writing about how her massage heavily benefited me, I would like to say the experience was an x-factor in terms of how good the "experience" is by going to a massage therapist. Now, she has a large room, upstairs from a hair salon, and what was impressive on her end was the fact that she had a very quiet room that had music, and wonderful scents that helped you relax not only your body, but also your mind in the process. And the temperature of the room is just perfect!
