Been wanting to try this place for years finally got a chance to go tonight with my son because…read morewe're both foodies, we're both chefs and we wanted to see what they brought to the table. They brought their A game for sure!! what a great experience. This is a casual very open place with a plethora of chefs, each creating a specific dish that they will bring to you and you choose whether you want to eat it or not. The menu is written to where you just check off what you got and you go down the menu and each chef will bring out the dish they created, describe it in detail and then you choose whether you want to eat it or not. Unfortunately, my son and I could not refuse anything, but we did turn down one which I can't remember what it was but this place is fabulous! Yes, these are two bite samples, the taste, and the creativity is exquisite!! These chefs brought things to my pallet that I cannot reverse engineer, and I saved every morsel they brought to the table. Literally ordering nearly everything on the menu, from custom drinks, made tableside to each entrée appetizer or dessert, sample dish, each one presented by the chef who created it this is what foodies live for. If you're going there to get filled up on hamburgers and chicken fingers, please don't go.!!! It's not for you. Especially if you spend four to $500.!! From the hostess Gabby, who was fantastic and extremely knowledgeable to begin the plethora of chefs each behind every dish that they passionately created and tried to sell it to you at the table, so you will check it off on the menu, I love the passion within the chefs minds and the creativity they came up with the dish We were actually too full when we left so those who say they had to go to McDonald's or something after they left because they didn't get enough and they don't understand these savory morsels that are coming out of the tiny kitchen, they only ordered three things because they didn't want to spend the money. This place is for those who enjoy excellent flavors creativity gastronomy, lemon foam to sauces that are unbelievably savory and delectable. I will post all my pictures if I can remember the names of all the dishes, but the menu changes weekly so it's not like you come one week and go back the next week for the same thing. This is an experience, an adventure, a step in time for a culinary experience, unlike others. It's not a fancy place so you can dress casual they don't care, The crafted cocktails were absolutely delicious, I can't tell you how much we enjoyed this experience. Yes it's expensive. But it is definitely worth it. Highly recommend.!!!!

I absolutely hated my experience. I wouldn't recommend anyone this restaurant. I have spent the…read morebetter part of my life in the restaurant business and I give them honestly 1 star. I traveled from Washington DC to try this recommended restaurant and I just say no to this experience. First and foremost the food. Unremarkable and 0 and I say 0 on taste, texture, and general overall flavor. The ingredients are farm to table but honestly I looked at their supply and they're using the lowest grade ingredients. Cheap and inflammatory. Next service. People on here rave about the service but I find it comparable to Applebees. Attentive? Not necessarily. Last concept. I have worked in concept kitchens but this was a mess. I was by the chefs preparation area and just saw the mess of kitchen and the type of communication from the chefs abyssal. Note: Restaurant is a la carte from ranges of food costing 16-45$. EXPECT TO SPEND 200 per person. Don't come if your budget is below 200 per person. Michelin guide please remove from recommendation. Adding photo just to prove that I came.

The service has been great, and the waitstaff is super knowledgeable about their drinks and food. It's such a cool vibe inside, but it is very dark. It's kinda hard to see the menu - I wish they put small handheld flashlights on the tables. Multiple tables around us were using iPhone flashlights to see the menu which were so bright. The food is always incredible, and I'm partial to their seafood options. I've had both the snapper and the trout, and they were exceptional. Their cocktail menu is 10/10. Such unique combos of ingredients, but I've never had one I didn't love.

We snagged an early dinner reservation at 5:15 pm and surprisingly, people were already dining and they just got busier as time went on. We were greeted right away by our wonderful server (forgot her name though) and she asked if it was our first time there and if we were celebrating something. We answered yes to both and they actually brought us complimentary champagne, a sparkling non-alcoholic cider for me because I ordered a zero proof drink. Kimball House is known for their amazing bar program, so my husband ordered a Kimball House served with a side of olives and lemon twist on ice, like what?! I ordered a ginger & honey lime fizz to enjoy. For starters, we also enjoyed Hawaiian rolls, green salad and some oysters for my husband. The rolls and salad came out super fast, but there was quite a wait for our drinks and oysters that I didn't think they were going to come out. The rolls are a must-get here - they're huge and the strawberry preserve it was served with was delicious! The salad was actually split in half, which was a super nice touch and was plenty of serving between two people. We loved the dressing - it was nice and fresh. For our entree, I ordered a trout and my husband ordered the duck breast. I was a bit underwhelmed when I saw my plate because I was thinking it would be a plate full of grits, but what was served was the perfect amount because it was quite heavy. The trout by itself was too salty for my taste, but was best eaten with a bite of collards and grits. My husband enjoyed his meal, but wished the duck was cooked a bit more. For dessert, we both enjoyed a Paris Brest. Our server actually put it in twice so we each got one when she meant to only punch in one, but she ended up taking one off from our bill. I was quite shocked that our whole dinner was only around $190, not including tip, which I thought was quite reasonable. We definitely recommend this place for date night or simply for delicious food.

Simply put, this place suffices for a nice night out if you're looking for steak, seafood, and elevated American/Southern food. They also serve weekday lunch and weekend brunch. Note: Even though the Ray's restaurants are unique to metro Atlanta, this place does have a more corporate/chain feel to it (not saying that's a bad thing). Book your reservation using OpenTable and get dining points. Parking is complimentary valet. I tipped using Venmo. We visited on a Sunday night and the dining room was fairly busy. Here's what I tried: Martinis: * The Meredith ($18) - Grey Goose vodka, extra dirty, Castelvetrano olives * What's the Catch ($18) - Absolut vanilla vodka, Chinola passion fruit liqueur, lychee, lemon Starters: * Pimento Fritters ($17) - original Ray's 1984 recipe, jalapeño jelly * Calamari "Fritto Misto" ($18) - flash-fried, baby vegetables, Ray's aioli Soups & Salads: * Ray's Greens ($14) - Bibb lettuce, fennel, radish, herbs, mustard vinaigrette Seafood: * Horseradish Crusted Black Grouper ($52) - Atomic Horseradish cracker crust, seasonal vegetables, Dijonnaise Sides: * Whipped Potatoes ($14) * Brussels Sprouts ($14) - bacon and shallot jam Desserts: * Warm Butter Cake ($12) - lemon butter cake, blueberry compote, vanilla ice cream * Chocolate Brownie Sundae ($12) - caramelized bananas, strawberries, pecans, vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce Everything was delicious. I enjoyed the martinis and was pleasantly surprised by Ray's Greens (I love salad) and the grouper. The Pimento Fritters are heavy, but can be considered a must, especially if you're entertaining guests from out of town. The desserts were fantastic. Good service. The staff was nice.

She checked on us often and gave great recommendations. We ordered the Wagyu filet, ahi tuna, and also shared a Caesar salad, which was fresh, well-balanced, and a great way to start the meal. Everything was absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared. I started with a classic Old Fashioned, which was excellent. I did venture into the holiday cocktail menu and tried the Jingle Juice, which wasn't quite my favorite, so I happily went back to the Old Fashioned. The atmosphere really tied everything together. There was live music playing in the background, the football game was on, and the Christmas decor was top-notch, making the whole night feel festive and fun. Great food, great drinks, great service, and an overall fantastic vibe.
