I had so much uncertainty about not being able to get back to the activities I loved, such as snowboarding, hiking, and weightlifting which are a huge part of my life. However, I was determined to make a full recovery and regain my strength/mobility and ReKinected Physical Therapy was right there with me every step of the way. From the moment I stepped into their facility, I knew I was in good hands. The staff at ReKinected are incredibly welcoming and supportive. They created a personalized rehabilitation plan tailored to my specific needs and goals. My physical therapist, Dr. Brittany Revell, was exceptional. With her guidance and encouragement, I slowly but surely began to regain range of motion and strength in my hip. I recently completed 24 sessions at Rekinected Physical Therapy (Carlsbad) after neck surgery in August 2025. Having rehabilitated various injuries throughout my life, I can confidently say that my experience at ReKinected was the best I've had to date. In my opinion, the personalized attention provided at ReKinected, where every patient receives 1-on-1 attention from a certified PTs (as opposed to being handed off to an assistant after 15 minutes) is a key component to its success as an organization. Regarding my Physical Therapist, RJ, I could not be happier with the level of service and professionalism provided. Being a Firefighter by trade, my rehabilitation required tailored exercises for the various anticipated real-world stressors that will be experienced in the field. RJ developed a unique plan, with compound movements and dynamic exercises. Not one session was the same, and I particularly appreciated seeing RJ workshop exercises with other ReKinected PTs and clinical students. He also has great interpersonal skills, making PT sessions truly enjoyable. I also want to acknowledge the admin team. They were always super-responsive and great to work with when scheduling appointments and handling workers compensation paper work. I will forever be grateful for my experience at ReKinected, and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking physical therapy and/ or personal training. read more

I've played touch rugby on the beach for 17 years. It's the best way for me to exercise and escape for a few hours twice a week. It has really been my passion for all these years. A year ago I injured my knee and it was determined that I'd have to have surgery. For the better part of a year I was totally miserable. I tried working with a personal trainer at $100/ hour and put a few months into Physical Therapy with no avail. After some time I became more depressed as I wasn't seeing the improvements I needed to get back on the pitch. That was until I met Brittney at ReKinected physical therapy in Carlsbad CA. Brittney provided a 1 on 1 session for an hour. It's like I had my very own personal trainer. She was always cheerful, professional, kind and supportive. Not only was my knee healing as was my mental state. Her knowledge of the body was textbook and informative every step of the way. She listened and showed empathy for my situation. I know people go through much, much more than I had to do so I have no real reason to complain and I'm blessed. However, my mental state was diminishing and I really needed to find a solution. I was diagnosed with spondylolisthesis around four years ago because of the repetitive stress my golf swing put on my lower back. The doctors said there was a possibility that I may not be able to return to golf, but I started physical therapy with Michael, and he helped me recover and go back to playing the sport that I love. I have been to many physical therapists in the past, but Michael is truly the best out there. He is one of the few PTs who works with the patient for the entirety of the session. Aside from being knowledgeable and caring, he listens carefully to any feedback or questions I have about the exercises, then adjusts the treatment plan accordingly to ensure that it is the most effective one for me on an individual level. Outside of our sessions, he would text me after my training sessions to check up on how I am doing--I was impressed and grateful for his dedication! And, as a high school soccer and golf athlete, I have gone through various other injuries, but Michael has helped me recover from every single one. Recently, I have been working with Sean on some issues with my shoulder and upper back. He is also an incredible PT--he's observant and knows exactly the exercises that will help me feel better. I found my way to ReKinected PT after having a microdiscectomy surgery performed on my lower back. After my surgery, I had a reduction in pain but was still feeling very stiff as well as weak in my legs. I have been working with Michael, who is one of the owners. He is very skilled at examining my impairments and selecting the proper exercises so that I don't leave with more pain. He is very good at the myofascial work on my lower back and has been able to get me back to taking golf swings again. I leave these sessions feeling rejuvenated and ready to go. Having worked in medicine for many years, I have seen the inner workings of quite a few health care facilities. I highly recommend going to ReKinected PT. We have been taking our 8 year old son son to see Brittany for several months now. Our son was born with unilateral clubfoot and has had several surgeries for correction. He needs constant physical therapy to maintain his correction and flexibility. We have been to several physical therapists in the community over the years and Brittany is hands down the most patient, dedicated, knowledgeable and compassionate therapist we have been to. Nina Wheeler is the best physical therapist I have had work on me. She understands that every body is different and adapts her treatment protocol based on this. She was recommended to me when she worked at another location in Encinitas. I live in Sorrento Valley but thought I would try her since I had no success with previous PT's. Ali Bonnici is the best physical therapist I have ever had and I've had several in my 68 years, including another one I loved from Re-Kinected. I highly recommend her. Michael is the best PT I've ever had, by a long shot. He fixed some long time shoulder problems I've had in a single session. This isn't your usual physical therapy where you just do basic stretches and half squats for an hour, Michael asks questions and does a lot of hands on work. This was my first experience going to a physical therapist facility. I was a bit apprehensive but was quickly put at ease when I was greeted by Melissa the receptionist. After checking in I met my physical therapist Jessica. First she told me a little about herself and experience. From there she sized up my situation with my shoulder replacement. Instructor Shannon is incredibly knowledgeable and attentive, fantastic at providing cues that challenge you while ensuring proper form. I was working with a chiropractor, massage therapist and acupuncturist, and I'm a certified yoga teacher. Still, I found myself in the ER/urgent care every other month to receive steroidal injections and painkillers. As someone who values a more natural approach to wellness, my doctor recommended (actually prescribed) Pilates. He said, "I bet you'll be in here a lot less if you try it." And he was right. I found Shannon via Instagram when I was living in La Costa. After a quick phone call and preliminary session, I was hooked. We started slow and easy because I was rehabbing so many injuries and over the last three years have built our way up to more challenging and advanced pilates. Everything from classical to experimental, there's never a dull moment with Shannon--she's the best. I recently was re-examined by my chiropractor, and they said they were shocked by how much my spinal issues improved -- there are nearly no lingering signs of scoliosis, and I owe it to Pilates in Aviara!
