I have been training with Sean for almost 5 months now & within in the 1st 2.5, I surpassed by goal and am onto the next- beyonce-video-body stomach toned & chiseled-dimple butt. He has a great way of kicking your butt & making the time fly by. I don't have to think when I am there, I tell him the results I want to see and he creates them. When I moved to Carlsbad, it took me a while to find trainers that I like. A gym where I belong - mobile or otherwise. Anywhere Gym is that gym. It has people who care about health and fitness and not posers. When I use a gym, when I talk to a trainer, I want someone who has knowledge and understanding of exercise and nutrition and has used them. After the birth of my 3rd baby, I was 50 pounds overweight but at a loss as to how to help myself. I was referred to Sean by a friend, and started with personal training, later switching to boot camps. In a very short time, I learned quite a bit about choosing the right foods, as well as focusing on the proper type of exercise to achieve the results I wanted. I noticed a difference in just the first month, and after about a year, had really gotten back to where I wanted to be. I had intended to only continue until I hit my goal weight, but here I am 7 years later, still loving my boot camp classes. The people I have met here are life long friends that I enjoy seeing each day - I actually look forward to working out. Following a recent surgery and 8 weeks without working out, I worked with Sean to get back to where I was before, but making sure I did not re-injure myself in the process. I actually feel stronger now than I did before surgery, something that I don't think would have happened without Sean's knowledgeable background. I just finished the fitness challenge with Sean and can't say enough about him and his wonderful staff and gym. The gym was very clean and had great equipment to workout with. The workouts include a nice warm up and stretching session, a challenging workout, and finished with abs and stretching. I highly recommend Sean and Anywhere Gym. I started attending Sean's boot camps 81 days ago and as of this morning I am down 20 lbs. He is, in my opinion, the right mix between a "tough on you" type and a go with the flow type trainer. He's not in your face, yelling at you that you're not trying hard enough, or beating you up for eating something unhealthy, but he's not hands off and "non judgmental". Classes are fun yet challenging. A lot of us are strangers to each other but we all get along and Sean gets us to interact through partner exercises. In the beginning I couldn't fathom being addicted to attending, but I am :). These boot camps are much better than group classes at the gym (which I have done) the results are much quicker, you receive correction if you are doing an exercise wrong, and he will provide nutrition counseling if you need it. I have likened the experience to mixing the gym classes with one on one personal training. The work outs are varied, I find myself wondering "will this ever get easy?" (I go 4 times a week, BTW). I am certainly stronger and have increased stamina. There are some movements that we do every work out but so many more that are repeated maybe once a week or so, and here and there he throws in something brand new to kick you in the butt. read more

I have been training with Sean for 4 months now and could not be happier with the results I've had so far. Not only am I halfway to my weight loss goal in only 4 months (about 35 pounds down, 35 more to go), I've learned so much from Sean about proper nutrition and exercise techniques that will enable me to keep the new me after I reach my fitness goals. I found Sean through a general search for trainers in the area and after having had experiences working with a few different trainers and not making much progress in the past (and almost giving up on losing weight), I really feel like I lucked out finding Sean. Not only do I look better and have fun shopping again, I feel great mentally and am much happier all around thanks to the success I'm having on Sean's program. If I could give any advice I would say that no personal trainer is a miracle worker, the determination to make a change must first come from you, and in working with a trainer like Sean he will get you to that next level in terms of achieving BIG results if you really want them. Sean has some key traits I believe are must haves in an ideal trainer. He listens to what you want and knows what you need, and tailors the program for YOU. Eating healthy doesn't have to be hard or leave you feeling deprived, and exercise can be fun! Many trainers just sell you their "standard" programs....these don't always (and often don't) work for everyone. Most importantly, I truly believe Sean loves what he does as he's always motivated, pleasant, and energetic at our sessions....if your trainer doesn't love what they do you never will either!!! Sean, if you are reading this (and I know you are), I cannot thank you enough for helping me to make such big changes in my life....how I look, how I feel, how I think about nutrition and exercise. My husband and I planned on doing a 1-month Groupon special at Anywhere Gym. 1 month turned into 2.5 years, as we got hooked! We go to boot camp 3-5 times a week. We love the variation in the types of workouts, from Dee's booty class to Fit Club. Sean and Dee are super friendly and create fun yet challenging workouts. They are willing to discuss whatever craziness is going on in your life. Every client is extremely friendly, and the gym is like a big family. Everyone is serious about getting a good workout, not to take selfies. We all help each other to succeed and cheer each other's successes. No egos, and nobody stealing your weights. Sean also helped us lose weight by modifying our diet. We revamped our diet after doing a paleo challenge with him. He will give advice if you are struggling with your diet or need a quick plan of attack for a food situation (e.g., how to not overeat at an Indian buffet). I've had some short-lived experiences with a couple of others in my area but Sean's boot camps at Anywhere Gym is definitely one of the most professional and the best investment i have ever made for myself. This one is not like a typical "boot camp". Sean encourages you to do the best you can and offer a program that is constantly changing and very unique, so you work almost every muscle in your body. It is a great way to break your routine and not-so-effective workout. You learn many things that will be helpful for your own workout as well. Sean's professionalism, knowledge and fun personality keep you motivated and you never get bored during each session. If you go regularly, you will really begin to see and feel the results and changes not only in your body but also your spirit within a few weeks.
