My hair has been cut and colored here for nearly 10 years. First by Chase, then Tony, and when they can't do it, Morgan, Whitney, Tania or Kim will. All of them are equally talented, excellent with color, and up on trends and styles. These folks truly take the time to understand your hair, how it grows, your goals, and they listen carefully. I'd love to have hair like Jake Gyllenhall but unfortunately I'd need more product than I have hair left since my hair is bone straight and fine. Plus, if you stick with them, they will see how your hair tolerates color and how it wears and also how your hair grows and offer advice on how to get a look and offer a quick product tutorial. Remember to ask questions if you aren't feeling like you're getting answers. Communication is two way and critical in this process. Kim, who answers the phones most of the time, manages the inventory, schedules, and is the gatekeeper for all things Aveda is truly fantastic. I love these folks, they are as much family to me as my own. I am comfortable asking questions and advice about how to style my hair or create a new look. The nice thing about it too is that they will collaborate together as a team and also offer you feedback. It's a great team! You need to feel secure in your choices and have realistic expectations. You will also love that your color formula is stored in the Aveda system so if you happen to be in NYC or Miami or Los Angeles, it is accessible! Love this! Atmosphere and vibe here is very relaxed. I read some other posts and don't know a thing about brow waxing, but will ask about it as one poster commented the person doing the work was rude and smacked their gum. Yuck, that's not professional. I think the person now doing it, I met once as her client was leaving. She is super nice and interested in the client she was working on. The client was happy when she was chatting with Kim and her. But, I love the aesthetic of this place. I can't remember if it was an old gas station or convenience store, but the building has a rich Lexington history. The interior is painted a nice gray and it has great lighting in both natural and overhead. It is also well ventilated. Products aren't overwhelming your senses. The chairs are quite fancy and comfortable. I also like how the spaces are set up. It allows me to have conversation with other clients or folks working that day. All their towels and capes are great, which is a sign to me that they care about their customer experience and quality. They take the time to keep things clean, brushes and combs, clippers and scissors are always in perfect condition. They also touch things up a few times a year with paint or anything needing fixed. I hate seeing dirty vents in ceilings and they keep theirs clean! I'm just saying these things because I look at stuff like this to help me measure how invested they are at running their business. I lived in Louisville for many years and went to Z Salon & Spa and later William Deans in the highlands. Bill cut my hair at William Deans, and Zenda at Z. They are among the best and on the same level as the team at Rejuvenation Station Salon & Spa. In my experience with the team here, I always have fantastic results. Go and make the leap, you will not regret it. Plus, you'll make so many new Lexington connections having coffee or tea. It is hard to get booked with them. But, once you make an appointment, if they have an earlier opening, they might call to check to see if you want it. It's such a great culture there and so many fascinating backgrounds and interesting caring, kind, nonjudgmental folks. Chelsea! Nearly forgot to mention her! LOVE IT! Went there for a haircut, felt like I got a spa treatment. Tony gave me an amazing scalp massage, as well as a conditioning treatment that left my hair feeling super soft and manageable. The cut was great too, and he really listened to what I wanted, talked it over with me before he did anything, and made sure I left happy. He even cut it again when I decided I wanted it a bit shorter. I will DEFINITELY be back! The customer service on the phone was great, and they offer a scalp massage, unlike other Aveda salons in town. Plus, they knock $5 off the price of a haircut if you don't get a blowout and style, which makes the $35 per haircut seem somewhat reasonable. read more

I rotate between salons when I get tired of them, but I'm not sure that I will be back to Rejuvenation Station. Tina, who does my hair, is great. She listens and always performs. However, the reception staff are less than cordial, and the woman who does the waxing is sometimes difficult to deal with. I like going here because its close to my house and I can usually get a brow appointment same day, at the latest the next day. But the woman who does the waxing has a terrible attitude and I will not be returning for her services if I do return to this salon. She criticizes my eyebrows, and tells me that I shape them completely wrong for my face. The only thing I do is pluck the stragglers that grow in after waxing. I'm not talented enough to be doing any shaping myself. She has told me on the last two occasions that I have over plucked and caused them to be uneven, and instead of waxing them to be even, she will leave them uneven and tell me I have to let them grow in. Last time she took off too much in the middle and filled it in with a pencil. Not even a brow pencil, like a regular, number two, Ticonderoga pencil. I'm just tired of dealing with her attitude and she clearly does not care enough to do a good job herself. Plus she smacks gum in your face the whole time. read more

I've been trying to find a salon I liked in Lexington for the past few years, and I think I just found a winner! As soon as you step in, you notice that gorgeous refreshing aveda smell that you're used to. The decor is cute, the atmosphere is chatty but not too loud, and the stations feel quite private. Breanna took the time to chat with me, come up with a plan for my hair, and made sure at every step that I was happy with what she was doing. The head massage was really relaxing too. If you don't need a blowout the cut is 35, and with an additional student discount of 10% it's a great deal for a lovely ambiance, great customer service and an excellent hair cut. I haven't tried the other advertised services like sugaring, or reflexology, but I'll definitely be back to try those out. read more

My experience at this salon was not at the same level as many other Aveda salons I have patronized. I went for a waxing treatment and had three issues: first, the treatment itself did not mirror any other salon experience I've had in the past. For example, I wasn't consulted about what I was looking for, I wasn't asked if the waxing was what I wanted, and I left with a considerable amount of wax still on my skin. Second, I was unable to avoid the smoke smell on the aesthetician's hands and/or breath. Third, the Aveda products in the restroom were caked with grimy residue. For these reasons, I would not recommend this salon. read more

Don't let the exterior fool you. Yes, it looks a little homely from the outside, but inside is as clean and as nice as can be. The service is great--they asked if they could get me anything while I waited right off the bat. Okay, now for the cut...​ Words cannot express how amazing Kim is. She's so open and welcoming and will be honest with you. I went in wanted to get a post-breakup chop. My curly hair makes that a little risky, and any other hairdresser I've been to wouldn't do it. We talked about it together for at least 15 minutes before she actually started. I was a little nervous because she cut it wet (I'd always got it cut dry before), and I felt comfortable to voice that. She told me that she took the shrinking into account and not to worry, and I trusted her. The cut looks FANTASTIC. She went where no other hairdresser would ever go, made me feel comfortable enough to let her do that, and it turned out to be the best decision ever. Not to mention, we had the best girl-time ever, just chatting! I can't recommend her enough--she's incredible. If you have curls, go to Kim. read more

I had a blow out and parked in their lot. I am waiting for a tow truck. Apparently me taking up a 6 by 10 foot space is very inconvenient for these asses. I would not give them business because they lack common decency. Where I parked is empty and the customer lot has spaces. I drove on my rim so I wouldn't inconvenience them any longer. They are crappy people that do not deserve anyones business. read more
