She will flat out tell you "I have no pains, why do I need a doctor". So we arrived today and go thru what everyone does at the first of the year...provide proof of insurance is the first thing the doctors office asks for...Ask an 89 year old woman this and the response is "Why"? Thankfully this is G's mom so he gets to deal with the stubborn parts of this issue, I get to stand back and be the angel of a daughter in law....which translates to being agreeable. After this insurance issue is handled its sit and wait time. Thankfully the wait time was in reason for what an 89 year old lady thought it should be. Whew! I was offered the chance to go back for the appointment, but I politely said it would be to many in a room so I would just wait in the very lovely waiting area. Patients went in one door to see the doctors and exited thru another door. The process seemed very streamlined and efficient. The wait for her to be finished seemed just about right for a doctor visit. She came out from the appointment with a smile but then said the doctor wanted her to exercise, which turned that smile to a bit of a snarly snicker. My response was, "well hes just trying to keep your muscles strong so you dont fall, and if you walked more maybe that would be good". The best neutral response I could give a stubborn little lady. We headed home with additional questioning of the new exercise routine. Whatcha gonna do??? Sometimes older people are just stuck in their ways, but thankfully a doctor with a great demeanor can persuade even the most stubborn of older ladies to exercise. Next check up in 4 months with and exercise plan in place. I might want to miss that visit.

I was referred by my brother who is a doctor to Dr Andrzej Torbus because I was in pain and needed to be seen right away for possible surgery, and a few other issues. I met with Dr. Torbus who I really like. He walked in with a smile and he was very upbeat each of the times I saw him for my appointments. I explained my issues and he addressed each and every one of them. I never felt rushed and I was given a through exam. Dr. Torbus put me at ease gave me samples of prescription medication to try. I had to go to LabCorp for further blood work then what was done in the office. Several days later I called Dr. Torbus's office because I wasn't quite sure when I went into the "My Chart" what my test results meant. Within two hours Dr. Torbus called me back and explained all of my test results to me and reassured me. The office staff has been very professional and compassionate. The MA's also are very kind. Dr. Torbus is a wonderful diagnostician. I found him to be professional, but also have a sense of humor. If your looking for a new primary care physician or just want to change, I highly suggest trying Dr. Torbus

It was really hard to have to look for someone that was a great dr with a really great bedside manner! And so I talked to my old dr and he gave me the recommendation for dr Unger! Thank god I got to him because I wound up in the hospital in December for 12 days! Dr Unger was great! Very concerned and it really made me feel good I felt as though I could really move on without my dr of 32 years!! I still have issue with my stomach but I know whenever I need to see dr Unger they will get to me in ASAP and everyone is very helpful at the front desk!!! I have left drs due to the staff but whoever does the hiring and the training has done a great job!! I would and do recommend him to people I know looking for a great Gastroenterologist's!!!!

I tried for weeks to make an appointment for a colonoscopy, but ToniAnne refused to return my calls. (Left multiple messages.) The receptionist finally called her and connected me. She told me the appointment was "at the same office". When I asked her again for the address, she said "the doctor's office". So, I went to the Bridgewater office only to have the receptionist *mock* me for several minutes! The appointment was at the Watchung office. The doctors do not seem much better either. When I had seen the doctor, that meeting lasted less then 5 minutes. That was it. He did not ask many questions. The doctors and the staff are a good fit: uncaring and/or incompetent.

He did not sign off or try to coordinate with my mother's pain management Dr who was going to do a procedure that had previously given her relief, while recommending THC for her pain yet would not answer questions about it, said he's not licensed to talk about it (why did he bring it up!). He did nothing but argue and Instigated arguments with us and now will not continue their care. I have never, ever experienced this type of "care" from a physician. Do not go to this doctor!
