Don't fool yourself - this is a BUSINESS and they are in it for the money, same as any other. Sadly, the medical system in America is doing a poor job of helping individuals at the root of their problems, but in even trying to get an exemption for an out-of-network doctor this office was unwilling to do so without an in-person visit. Guess what - I'm WILLING to pay the extra $20 a visit to my out-of-network naturopathic doctor so I don't HAVE to come in for yet another fake diagnosis. I've learned how to take care of myself (and shame on you, reader, if you don't) and lowered my own blood pressure without meds, stopped eating like 'an American', and I MOVE instead of sitting on my butt all day...I suggest you do the same and stop relying on doctors who want your business - and only your business - not your good health.

She will flat out tell you "I have no pains, why do I need a doctor". So we arrived today and go thru what everyone does at the first of the year...provide proof of insurance is the first thing the doctors office asks for...Ask an 89 year old woman this and the response is "Why"? Thankfully this is G's mom so he gets to deal with the stubborn parts of this issue, I get to stand back and be the angel of a daughter in law....which translates to being agreeable. After this insurance issue is handled its sit and wait time. Thankfully the wait time was in reason for what an 89 year old lady thought it should be. Whew! I was offered the chance to go back for the appointment, but I politely said it would be to many in a room so I would just wait in the very lovely waiting area. Patients went in one door to see the doctors and exited thru another door. The process seemed very streamlined and efficient. The wait for her to be finished seemed just about right for a doctor visit. She came out from the appointment with a smile but then said the doctor wanted her to exercise, which turned that smile to a bit of a snarly snicker. My response was, "well hes just trying to keep your muscles strong so you dont fall, and if you walked more maybe that would be good". The best neutral response I could give a stubborn little lady. We headed home with additional questioning of the new exercise routine. Whatcha gonna do??? Sometimes older people are just stuck in their ways, but thankfully a doctor with a great demeanor can persuade even the most stubborn of older ladies to exercise. Next check up in 4 months with and exercise plan in place. I might want to miss that visit.

I have utilized B.E.S.T Physical Therapy throughout the years but most recently I arrived at their door step 5 days post op total knee replacement. Rachael was my main therapist for the first knee replacement 2 years ago, so it was great to work with her again. She is knowledgeable, professional and encouraging. I also worked with Michelle in the past and intermittently this time. They worked diligently as a team to get me back on track to full recovery. I was assigned to Rachael who was phenomenal with making a plan that focused on my ability to walk on foot without the need for further ankle supports . She was very knowledgeable answering all my frequent questions regarding my foot recovery . While always maintaining their professionalism they managed to add some humor to keep you positive to make sure you see that light at the end of the tunnel .
