Do not move your car with this company. Do not allow the company you work for to move your car with this company. I was relocated cross-country by my new employer. Reindeer "brokered" the move of 2 cars. Knock on wood, one of them seems fine. The other incurred significant front-suspension-related damage. None was apparent before we moved, when we had maintenance, new tires, and rebalancing done. We only sent Reindeer a claim for the portion directly attributable to obvious suspension issues(bearings and boot), but they politely declined. If they respond to this at all, they will cite their fine print(ie "you need to notice your car was torn apart within 24 hours", "not responsible for mechanical issues"), which should be enough to send anyone running for the hills. Find a company that will relocate the car themselves, professionally, with a covered truck, and with an elevator instead of a ramp. It will be expensive, but I doubt it will cost what I paid for "free" relocation. We watched the delivery guy bottom out somebody else's car because he forgot to move the truck's license plate out of the way. Who knows what could have happened to my car. Don't make the same mistake I, and apparently many others, have made. read more

I have had a terrible experience with Reindeer Auto and would not recommend them to anyone. I just had 2 cars moved from CA to MD. When the first car arrived, the door stop lever arm of the driver side door was broken, so now the door will swing open if not held continuously. This happened the first time I got out of the car and caused a dent in the door. Reindeer has denied my initial claim but I plan to fight it. I have pictures to prove that the dent was not there when they picked up the car. When they tried to deliver my second car, they did not have the key. It turns out that they left my key in another car that was delivered in Pittsburgh. I was told that my key would be sent over-night, but I have still not received it, over 3 weeks later. read more

Great experience with Reindeer Auto transport. I requested a quote on Fri 9/2/22 and they called me back the following Tues (after Labor Day holiday). The price they gave me matched the quote, even though there were tons of disclaimers saying the quote could change upon final scheduling. They were able to pickup my vehicle on Tues 9/13/22 and although I was already out of town, they were able to pickup my vehicle from my friend who I designated as the person who would be there. The car just arrived today, Tues 9/20/22. The driver was great, very friendly and he had Called me the day before and again an hour before drop-off. I was also called by the company a day prior as well. Communication was good, price was good, comparable to other companies and the turn around time was great! Reindeer was recently booked for us by my husband's new company to help us relocate. Our interactions with Reindeer themselves were fine, but the shipping company they used for the job was subpar. Our two cars arrived damaged with the clear coats extensively scratched from hood to trunk. The truck driver tried to lie to me blaming the trees he had to drive under on our smallish street, despite the fact that one of the cars was on the bottom row. The driver was not apologetic and did not provide appropriate paperwork for me to record the damage before signing. Luckily after all the mess, they did end up reimbursing us for the cost to get it fixed. But I wish I hadn't needed to worry about extra paperwork, finding a good place, scheduling, taking the cars in, etc. Not a very nice way to start off in a new city. read more

I needed to relocate my car from Colorado to California and they were able to provide me with a competitive rate and a weekend pick-up without any hassle at all. My car was picked up on the morning I'd requested within the time window they'd provided and it was delivered the same day that they had estimated that it would arrive. The driver called me ahead of time to make sure I was home and ready to accept it and then asked me to inspect it with him to make sure I was satisfied. I understand that a lot of the car shipping process is luck of the draw with your drivers, but based on my experience Reindeer auto has this dialed in and I couldn't be happier! read more

Clutch is almost gone now. Would love to give more stars, but they've cost me a lot of money. They actually just hire a driver to pick up the car and move it. They weren't involved in the actual moving of the car. So why 2 stars? Pick up went smooth. Drop off was a bit weird because I had to pick it up at a guys house. My clutch was ruined. I drive a sporty car and had a perfect clutch because it had just been replaced. I assumed a semi driver could handle a manual car, but I was wrong. I picked it up and immediately smelled burned clutch. Now the thing hates to get going in first and stumbles when shifting. I DID NOT have this problem before. I don't think there was joy-riding or anything, but this guy absolutely destroyed a part that's going to cost $1000+ to fix. It's a risk you take when moving cross country, but I thought I could count on him to know how to drive it. We even put in the notes that it's a MANUAL. I assumed he burned it up trying to get it on the truck and into his hilly driveway when he went home. It's terrible. Would have filed an official complaint, but there's no way to prove that HE was the one that damaged it...so I'm stuck. Also they state to have less than 1/4 tank in the car so I had about 1/8th. When I picked it up, it was below empty and sputtered to a gas station. All in all, don't use these people unless you have an automatic or they can screen their drivers better. It was a stock clutch so there's no reason for it to be ruined. I'm sure the flywheel is burned up as well....lesson learned. read more

DO NOT USE! I just recently had my car relocated from Florida to Utah. It was delivered with a U-shaped crack in the windshield. This company has found every excuse to not cover the damage as well as claiming that crack was there and it must have gotten worse. The crack was not there and it was not caused by a rock or debris. It looks like something fell on it causing the damage. The fact that a company turns the blame around on their customer is very frustrating. I am sure there are other relocation companies that care about their clients and do the right thing. My advice: steer clear if you want your car to arrive in good condition. read more

I'm doing this review to help raise the low rating! Full disclosure, I did not select Reindeer; it was chosen for me by the relocation company my job used. I was weary and slightly worried because of the low ratings, but it was my only option if I didn't want to shell out the entire purchase myself through another company! From start to finish, the process was painless and excellent. The cars arrived way sooner than I expected. From Buffalo, NY to Portland, OR the cars arrived in 5 days, which was even faster than Reindeer's anticipated delivery date! I was shocked! Both cars shipped were in excellent condition! Definitely some tiny wear and tear, but it's no different than any wear and tear you'd get driving your car long distance anyway. I was so worried about mine and my husband's cars, but Reindeer took great care. All my questions were answered quickly, and the coordinators were very helpful. As another user mentioned about post-delivery inspection, we did have to do the inspection on the side of a somewhat busy road, but the truck is so huge that it's very difficult, especially in a city, to get down side streets so it's understandable. All in all, it was a great experience from Reindeer for auto relocation! read more

At first they said your car is in storage in Baltimore,then they couldn't find it,then it's not been delivered it's in Virginia,then sorry can't get in touch with the driver. The Saga continues. Reindeer denies any responsibility for condition of car at delivery which is COVERED in marks & scratches. The car was new when they picked it up. One day off of the dealer lot in mint condition. I paid $1,690 for delivery. They offered $300 for late delivery & ZERO for all the damage. Look at the pictures of the damage. Are you serious? Do you really expect others to hire you when you deliver cars completely damaged? I would NEVER hire you again. HORRIFIC experience with Reindeer continues even after delivery as I now have to pay to have car repaired (if that is even possible) and pay attorney to pursue action to recover damages. read more

Reindeer Auto Relocation was the vendor part of my relocation package. Horrible customer service and resulted in damage to my car. We relocated across country and found damage on the car which would be $1000 in repair costs (based on 3rd party body shop estimates). The damage caused included actual holes, not paint chips. Reindeer denied the claim because they said it was caused by road debris (though couldn't prove). I can't imagine road debris causing $1000 in damage. Also, the unloading process was not professional at all. The handler parked and unloaded my car in a left-turn lane on a major street. I was asked to inspect the vehicle as cars were going 45-50mph next to me. I had to insist we move to a nearby parking lot. If you had a bad experience and used Reindeer as part of your relocation package, definitely let your HR and procurement team know. Maybe next time their contract is up for renewal they'll consider other companies. Best of luck! read more

Overall this went better than expected. Since where the car was to be picked up and delivered Reindeer also contracted a towing service to puck up and deliver my car; both drivers from the towing services were professional and very pleasant, one called when he got stuck in a traffic jam to tell me he would be late. Also because of the towing services they asked when would be a good time for me for the pick up and delivery. Reindeer also had my car stored for a couple days since truck drove the distance quicker than I did. The only issues I had/have was a small stone chip and scuff happened during the shipment, but they were extremely minor and I would use Reindeer again. P.S. I worked in the automotive industry for years and was concerned about working with a transport company that I wasn't familiar with, but my fears were not necessary. I had a great experience with Reindeer. The vehicle was scheduled to be picked up between 8 AM and 2 PM - it was loaded onto the local pick up transport and on it's way by 8:15 AM! My relocation coordinator Kim regularly checked in with me to provide status updates. I was moving during the holidays and had a lot of timing concerns, but the vehicle was delivered well ahead of the latest possible delivery date. After traveling cross country from California to NJ I was expecting the vehicle to arrive filthy, but it was as clean as it was when it was picked up so either it was transported in a closed carrier or it was cleaned when it arrived. I was very satisfied. I was being relocated for a job so I did not choose Reindeer, but based on my experience I would choose them if I had to move again. read more

I am writing regarding my recent relocation from Utah to Pennsylvania. NEVER EVER work with Reindeer Auto Relocation company. My new car was delivered after two weeks in the middle of a highway at night. A day after I noticed a big dent on the roof and I immediately contacted the company and explained the situation. They asked me to fill out the claim form and send them pictures. A few days later they denied the claim and told me you had reported dent on the hood not roof! I talked to several of their managers and staff but nobody takes the responsibility. I paid $2500 out of my pocket to repair my new car! Never ever going to transport my car with Reindeer. 1) They said they will try to call us an hour prior to pick up, which make sense because we can't be home the whole day just waiting for the car to be picked up. BUT that didn't happen and I handed in my car in a hurry. 2) The driver told me that my car will be delivered the next day and asked who will be signing the delivery sheet. I was surprised by the speedy delivery service and was delighted to hear that I will have my car before Chrismas instead of what the manager has told me (after Christmas). I immediately called my parents and asked whether they could take a day off and wait for my car. And guess what, the car DIDN'T get delivered as promised and it was finally delivered the day after. 3) When I check my car, I discovered that my dashcam's SD card went missing and the wire were pulled out from the roof. I called the office (5 stars auto trans inc., reindeer is their agent, or at least that's what the lady has told me) and the lady who picked up the phone call was so rude, she kept saying that they are not responsible for any interior damage or lost because they didn't do an interior inspection as they did for the exterior, her exact words were "ma'am you said it's missing but who knows whether that's there when we picked it up." I am NOT calling in and claimed that I missed cash in my car (thank god I took awake my valuables at the very last minute) and requested for compensation. I simply wanted my SD card with my video recording back. CONCLUSION: They didn't take anything besides my SD card. So it's reasonable for me to suspect that they either did something shady with my car and wanted to destroy the evidence, which is highly likely, or they wanted to steal my dashcam but regretted it because its too much work (I wrapped the wire around the car instead of simply just the leave the wire hanging out from the charger), which stealing my SD card was the solution for the driver to destroy evidence of him moving my dashcam. EITHER WAY, it's NOT OKAY and PROFESSIONAL as an auto transport company to steal or use your car without the owner's permission!!!! If you choose them to transport your precious car, be prepared that they will do something shady with your car or steal your belongings in your car!! read more
