Just check all their violations on the Department of Labor and Industry website. Took our condominium project over a year to get two circuit panels replaced. Had to get both Mountlake Terrace inspectors and the Department of Labor involved. The "owner" isn't even a licensed electriction! We never heard so many excuses as to why they wouldn't show up for scheduled appointments. Do yourself a favor and move along to another company. AND make sure you lookup anyone you're thinking of using first on the D&L website.

Heater unit was installed upside down, and in such a way that the trim did not cover the hole

I called Reign City because I had a space heater that wasn't working in a rental unit I own. I call them 10/26. Supposed to be there next day. Doesn't show up. Reschedule for the next monday. Shows up, but says there's nothing wrong with the unit. I get charged $331 for no service, and the tenant calls the next day to tell me heater is still not working. So I order a replacement unit and call to see if they can install. (I guess I'm a glutton for punishment.) They come back out, install the unit which is an EXACT MATCH for the hole in the wall. These geniuses install it upside down (in spite of the unit being clearly labeled TOP), and don't do any shimming to make it fit the existing hole. (see photo for what passes for acceptable work) I get charged another $303. When I inspect the work, I'm pissed. I've paid over $600 for shoddy install. I call Eugene to complain. He offers to redo the work, and a $150 refund. I passed on the rework - but said, yeah send me a refund. You know what's next - never sent the refund. Avoid at all costs.

I had two flush mount fixtures that were acting up - I figured loose wiring. Called Reign City Electrics and the guys came out 30 min later. Checked all my stuff - diagnosed my problem, relocated some fixtures so I didn't have to replace everything to make them match, then headed to the depot to buy replacements. He texted me pictures of options, I bought - came back and he installed. BOOM. Easy easy easy. They were very nice and polite and did a great job. I don't know how pricing compares to others - I was fairly charged for the service call, plus the cost of my fixtures. I'd call them again if I needed more electrical work.

Unlicensed contractor.

Beware of a dishonest business owner that is currently unlicensed. Please read my previous detailed post. Eugene has unlawfully kept my $1500 deposit. He is disorganized, lies and never came to the job site. Organize the reviews newest first and look through. Maybe he's doing decent work, once in a while, but the terrible experiences are heartbreaking.

Had scheduled a facetime call for 8/27 at 8:30 am with Eugene but no one ever contacted me. I tried calling but the no one answered and the mailbox was full. I reached out to the person who scheduled the appointment and they said they don't work weekends and to contact the owner (which I tired) and that he "probably just got busy." Unfortunately, these people are unreliable. Will be looking elsewhere. Edited to respond: It is not my job to know that it was dispatch's first day on the job. If that's the case, then teach them better. I did my due diligence before posting a review. I called but the VM was full. I reached out to an employee but they said they didn't work on the weekends. What is a customer supposed to do? Wait around and see what the problem was? That's not a good business model. You have to take the good review with the bad. Own up to your mistake without making excuses and trying guilt a customer. Learn from it and move on.

Fan electrical box required they to traverse our attic

We just moved into an older house and needed a faster charger added for our EV. We used Yelp to gather estimates. The estimates received varied considerably, some ranging into several thousand dollars to install a single NEMA 6-50 receptacle in my garage. Reign City's estimate was the lowest at ~650 bucks. They came out within two days to confirm the estimate, and the actual work was completed a week later. I was really impressed by the speed that Reign City moved, especially when you compare them to other electricians in the area. It took me longer to get an estimate from other electricians than it took Reign City to estimate & complete the work. In terms of quality, Reign City did a flawless job. You can see the quality of this work in the pictures I've uploaded. The receptacle was installed with high quality materials & is completely flush with the wall. They used a 60-amp breaker and plug, and the charging speeds I see are consistent with that. I also decided to have a few fans installed. The fan electrical boxes were installed on studs with high quality materials. I was able to mount both fans onto them without issue. Overall, 5/5. They were fast, efficient, and did great work. Strongly recommended if you have electrical work.

Tessa, at the office, texted me to confirm my appointment time and included a photo of Rich, my service technician. Rich was fantastic. He showed up on time, was extremely knowledgeable and very communicative. As expected, after his very comprehensive inspection and testing of my Furnace and A/C some serious issues were found. The 20 year old furnace had a crack in the heat exchanger, which Rich showed me on his camera. The 30 year old A/C had lost a significant amount of its effectiveness to cool my home and was wasting a lot of energy. Rich was there almost 2 hours and I got all this at an amazing special price of $29! He asked me if I wanted someone to come out and give me a free estimate to replace my furnace and A/C, and had the office schedule someone to come out when I returned from my upcoming trip. Two weeks later Dan Severt showed up on time to take measurements and collect the information needed to properly size the new systems I needed and provided me with a detailed estimate. He explained my options, explained the installation process, and covered possible financing options. As it was possible for me to get a loan through GreenSky to make monthly payments with no penalty for early payoff and no interest if paid in full within 18 months, I decided to proceed. Dan called the office to schedule the install for me and got me started with the GreenSky loan process. A short while later, Tessa texted me information about my install to begin the very next day. Later Tessa sent me a text to confirm my appointment and included photos of the technicians that would be coming. Next day she texted me that they were on their way and included a tracking link so I could monitor their progress. Technicians Obet and Cody arrived to begin the installation. As is usually the case with 40+ year old homes, and today's updated building codes and newer, more complicated "smart" systems, a few issues popped up. At all times the guys kept me informed of the issues, explained what my options were, and then executed the necessary workarounds. Dan also made himself available to come by personally to see the issues for himself and answer any questions I had and offer advice when asked. A short while later, a highly experienced Carlos arrived to assist the guys with problem resolution. They guys worked really hard from 9am to 10pm in order to complete their job for the electrician coming the next day. They cleaned up the job site and hauled away the old units. Meanwhile, back at the office, Sarah who had processed the necessary permit(s) texted me that she had made arrangements for the two required inspections, one for the electrical work and the other for Snohomish County building code adherence. She informed me that those two entities would reach out to me to set things up. Later I received a text that the electrician, Fredo, would arrive early the next morning. Fredo showed up on time and completed the electrical work in time for Benjamin to arrive. Benjamin completed a checkout, testing and startup of the system and demonstrated how to program the new smart thermostat. All worked perfectly. Without exception, everyone involved was timely, possessed excellent communication skills, was organized and highly skilled at their respective jobs. All of them were positive and courteous and respectful of me and my property. This was, by far, one of the best experiences I've ever had in a job requiring skilled labor! Kudos to As You Wish for having quality people and using quality suppliers for their HVAC systems! I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to invest in updating their systems, or in having them inspect and service their existing equipment. Ordinarily I would have sought out multiple estimates before hiring someone to do such a big job. I have no idea how the cost for As You Wish to do this job compares to the numerous other competitors in this sector, but I'm kind of glad I didn't. Otherwise I may have gone with someone cheaper, who knows? But one thing I know for sure is that I couldn't have found anyone better!

They were friendly, professional, and clearly took pride in doing quality work. When you're investing this much money in your home, trust matters. Very disappointing experience. I would not hire this electrician again…read more I hired Andrew and his team to rewire a house during a major renovation. Unfortunately, the project became extremely frustrating because of poor workmanship, repeated scheduling problems, poor material management, and a lack of follow-through. 1. Work repeatedly had to be checked and corrected. After I was told the rough-in work was finished, I found multiple wires still not properly connected at the electrical panel and several outlets without power. I reported the issues and was told they would be fixed, but after multiple return visits, I was still finding unresolved problems. The HVAC/heat-pump wiring was another example. The indoor unit required 208/230V, but it was connected incorrectly. I specifically brought this to Andrew's attention. He told me they needed to check the manufacturer label, even though the required voltage was clearly printed on the unit. Later I was told it had been corrected. Because of the previous problems, I checked it myself again and found that it was still only getting approximately 110V. They had to come back yet again. What bothered me most was that I could not rely on being told that something was "finished." I repeatedly had to go to the property myself, test the work, take pictures, and report the same or additional problems. 2. Poor material and job-site management. During rough-in, light fixtures that were intended to be installed later were left at the construction site while many other trades were still working. By the time we reached the trim stage, some fixtures could not be located and others were dirty, so I had to purchase additional fixtures. The electrical panel cover was also not installed and later could not be found. I eventually had to purchase another panel/cover just to get the correct cover. 3. Scheduling was extremely unreliable. Before the trim stage, I specifically asked Andrew how much advance notice he needed. He told me about one week. I scheduled approximately 10 days in advance. Despite that, the trim work dragged on for more than two weeks. On one scheduled Friday, I took the entire day off because his crew was supposed to come in the morning. Nobody showed up in the morning. Someone finally arrived in the afternoon, looked around, accomplished very little, and left. Similar scheduling problems happened repeatedly. Yet later I was told that the delays were because I had not scheduled early enough, which did not match our written messages. 4. Even minor inspection corrections took far too long. After the inspection, only relatively small corrections remained. Instead of resolving them promptly, different people came to the property multiple times, and the process dragged on for roughly two months before everything was finally completed. 5. The final stage was especially frustrating. My house was preparing to go on the market, so I repeatedly explained that completing the electrical work was time-sensitive. Instead of focusing on resolving the outstanding issues, near the end I was told that I needed to pay the remaining contract balance before they would continue the work. This was particularly frustrating because throughout the project, whenever Andrew sent me an invoice for completed work, I paid promptly. I was not someone who had repeatedly failed to pay him. I understand that renovation projects can have unexpected issues and that mistakes can happen. My problem was not one isolated mistake. It was the pattern: work being called finished when it was not, me discovering problems myself, repeated return visits, poor scheduling, missing materials, and a lack of ownership when problems needed to be corrected. I have photos and text-message records documenting the timeline and many of the issues described above. Based on my experience, I would not use this company again.
