They were able to get me scheduled in quickly. She has a whole team of ladies who are great at what they do. One even held my hand during the procedure. Lasik was simple and fantastic! I did price compare with other places. The price is reasonable at about $2000 an eye after the EyeMed discount.

Upon entering the exam room, I sat in the ophthalmic examination chair. She sat in a chair against the wall near the door, as I was examined by Dr. David Landess. The examination went well and Dr. Landess fielded our questions toward the end. To that point the appointment was fine. As my wife and I prepared to leave the office, Dr. Landess made a comment to me that made my wife and I uncomfortable. He looked at me as he pointed to her and said, "take care of her." My wife and I were a bit confused. Why did Dr. Landess think he had the authority to make any declarations about my wife and my marriage. It was inappropriate and a bit creepy. Dr. Landess would do well to focus on my eyes, vision, glasses Rx -- not my wife/ marriage. I will never allow him to serve me at VisionPoint again.

I can't find much of anything to complain about. A great experience all-around!…read more First, the whole process was easy. After the initial paperwork, I was immediately taken in for eye tests and then promptly seen by the doctor (Dr. Ronald Suarez, OD - who was absolutely awesome!). Out of all my years of annual eye exams, this exam was definitely the most efficient; quick yet thorough. They did not have the brand of contact I have been using for years in my new prescription's strength, so Dr. Suarez gave me a trial of a new brand to try. The new brand he gave was still slightly off on the exact prescription, so he gave me a sample pair in the strength closest to my prescription, and will give me a new sample pair after the ones for my prescription come in. (Long story short, he basically gave me two pairs of contacts to try for free with the exam). I usually take the prescription from my eye exam and buy my contacts online. However, All About Eyes had about the same price for contacts as the cheapest place I could find online (and without all the hassles of coupons and mail-in rebates). So I simply bought my contacts in-store. Plus, with the sample contact lenses they gave me, it allows me to try the new brand of contacts before opening the actual box of contacts I purchased (free exchanges for unopened boxes of contacts; no questions asked). I was then seen by Tallie W., who handled all the insurance info. She was also very courteous and helpful. Dr. Ronald Suarez and Tallie W. were great from start to finish. Overall, I was really impressed with this place. I will definitely be coming back to All About Eyes for my next annual eye exam and to order contacts.

Everything was fine when I came back for the appointment and through the appointment but after they got my orders in for glasses and sunglasses they apparently were made incorrectly because when I tried them it definitely wasn't my prescription as everything was blurry. The girl I talked to about it looked over paperwork and confirmed something was wrong so they had to remake them. This was like two weeks ago and haven't heard anything back from them since. Trying to give them the patience they didn't give me when I was 6 minutes late on my first appointment. Going to bring going in soon and if they are still not I'm going to just ask for my $400 back.

Unhelpful and rude. Came in for a routine eye exam while visiting back home on December 18th last…read moreyear. They gave me my prescription with most of the numbers I needed, except for my pupillary distance number. I didn't realize I needed the number to get glasses and was not informed of needing to buy glasses with them in order to get that number. I called last month about possibly getting a new appointment to get the number...no call back. My husband calls and they call back explaining it's standard procedure to not get pupillary distance measured unless we get glasses from them, but goes on to say we can come in and get it checked for free. So which is it? When we ask if my pupillary distance had been recorded at my last appointment under my name before I got married, "Kathy/Kathleen" from the glasses center or front desk - don't really care or remember her name - she kept rudely interrupting us and not letting us ask if it would be under my mom's account since she was the one who purchased my previous pair of glasses from there. This is the clinic that my family has gone to for years since living in Bloomington. All of my hometown friends also frequent here as well, but I can no longer recommend this place. I hope whatever bad day that woman was having gets better and learns to treat people with kindness instead of immediately catching a bad attitude with someone asking a simple question. Disappointing.

I've had it with this place. Where to start? First of all they have now gone the route of profit…read moreover customer and have a tech do the refraction exam instead of the Dr which I have never experienced in 15 years of wearing contacts. After the exam where I saw the Dr for a total of 3 minutes I was sent home in a pair of trial contacts. I experienced vision issues almost immediately and called the office to let them know. The response was "Your prescription hasn't changed so everything should be fine" After explaining yet again that it wasn't I was told to come by and pick up another set of lenses because there must be something wrong with the first ones. Changed my lenses. Same issue. I called to tell them about it and got the exact same response. After again telling them that my vision was not right and I am having headaches wearing the contacts I was gifted with a visit to the contact department because the Dr said my contacts must not be fitting correctly. In contacts they explained that, you guessed it, my prescription hadn't changed so I shouldn't be having problems. He did then tell me that there was an option in my prescription to up the power........first I heard about this. We tried that out. It still didn't work. Very blurry in my right eye still and still headaches when wearing them. I finally get them to agree to a recheck with the Dr. I waited an hour to see the Dr and was late to an appointment with a client. All this just for the Dr to confirm my prescription and tell me that the issue was that I was sent home the first time with contacts that were not the correct power because they didn't have those in stock. When the lenses were changed at the 2nd visit they upped the power to too high of a power because again, they didn't have my correct one in stock. So All this time I was complaining that something didn't seem right only to be gaslighted that everything was the same as it always was only to find out that my contacts were wrong the entire time AND everyone knew about it. The cherry on top of all of this is that Gailey billed my health insurance for the visit even though I made it very clear that I don't have coverage and I was self pay. I got the bill later for $150 more than the agreed self pay amount because they were billing me at insurance rates. I had to call and have them adjust the bill TWICE before it was correct. Some people would have just paid it which I assume is exactly what they would have liked so they can pocked some extra money. This place used to be my go to but it has gone waaaaay downhill and I'm now beginning my search for new eye care. In my opinion, you should NOT come to Gailey. It isn't worth the literal headaches they give.

Dr…read moreLochman ( please excuse the spelling) in Decatur was wonderful and was very precise and thorough in examining the eyes and ensuring everything with the eyewear selected was correct. But I am done going to Bard in Normal which is a sad statement when leaving Bard Optical after 50 years of entrusting my vision to them. But there are just too many reasons not to respect them and people should know what they are about. It is not customer service. My husband was by Bard a couple of evenings before I called , and I only called to set up appts for us because they told him they had nothing available until after January. There was no way that was true and called them to show him how bogus that statement is. Living close we have been by Bard often going to Michael's or pet store and they were never crowded. Maybe one person waiting either for their appt or a family member. I wondered why they were being so rude. I was immediately accepted by a request to make appointments for my husband and I to get our eye tests and new eyewear. The night before the appointments I accidentally poked myself in my right eye and it hurt terribly all night but knew I would be at Bards in the morning. Dr. Hinson did a great job finding the wound, prescribing antibiotic drops and placing a contact bandaid in my eye. I mentioned to him that contacts have become very difficult to take out because my eyes are so dry. I asked when I needed to return and we worked together. I decided I would leave the contact in as the Dr. had said it could be worn for 30 days day and night. So I thought a few days wouldn't hurt if needed and could check in with the Dr in a couple of days. Wow was I wrong. The next day I could see the Dr. was Tuesday and my eye did ok with the meds prescribed. I went in to see Dr who was a different person which was fine. He spent a short time looking and dying etc. and then tried to take the contact out. Yes I was very thankful and my eye needed a contact break. When he went to take the contact out it was frightening but tried to stay calm. Calm did happen because he practically leaped into my eye and with every knuckle pushing in my nose mouth lower lid cheeks really hard. Plus his fingers were flailing like spider legs pushing my face really hard. I flinched but tried to get it over with....but I could not. It hurt under my eye, cheek, mouth, my nose and especially my eye. The pain was intense. After 3 attempts and me recoiling from each, I asked him to stop. He wanted to keep on trying -his sporadic finger movements everytime -the knuckles -and the awful pressure on my face I just could not take anymore. Now I had given my eye a hard poke and it hurt like hades !!! I'm usually a good patient but not this time. He took me out in the lobby and said he was contacting Gaily eye clinic. He said "Now don't move!" As soon as he was gone was my time to speak out. I told one of the staff that I just couldn't go through Gaily today but I knew if I was referred I could go in for assistance. I gave my eye a rest and called Bard the next day and the same employee said he had sent it into Gaily and to call them. They unloaded me I felt when I needed my eye clinic. They could have gotten the contact out easily but they were against me, I guess I was too much of a burden. So I called Gaily and told them I needed to come in and get help with getting the contact out. I called them 3 days in a row. My eye was hurting worse than ever. They should be responsible for their patients with a nail hole in their eye but the last Dr I saw was most likely mad that I left. The Dr was nice enough but he really should retire. I've never been scared of any type of Dr ever until the day I had appt. I was shaken too. I went to Saint Joseph Prompt care closest to my house. Ft Jesse Rd. They came in the room and after a brief consultation were bac k in a flash. They took a cue tip and moved it across and out of my eye. The whole process including check in at front desk took a most 10-12 minutes. That whole thing seemed like a really bad nightmare. Never again
