I'm not a gearhead, so I won't get into the finer points of bike shops here since I don't know them, but I had a great experience here, and I would recommend this place to anyone in my particular position. That position is a newly transplanted University student, with a limited budget and lack of desire to spend my days here trolling Gumtree for a deal on a used bike. With all that said, I went in here and got exactly what I wanted, for a pretty good price, with almost no hassle, and a few extras thrown in to boot. I got a 'fixie' or fixed gear bike, for about $350, which came with a lock, some lights, and a water bottle and some servicing I think. Anyway, it's been a fantastic bike so far, and it was nice that they threw in all the extras, even if they weren't the best quality. So if you're looking for a bike to get you around town and don't want to spend $1000, I'd give Reid's a look, they have all different styles of bikes, and the prices are pretty solid. read more

I went here because I saw that they had the retro bikes on sale. Plus my cousin who is an avid cycler said that these guys were pretty good. So I ordered one in store, with the package of bike pumps, helmet and a whole host of other bits and pieces. My very first bike!! I was excited. Plus 3 years servicing. I was advised that my bike would be ready within 10 business days as they didn't have the colour I wanted in store. Sure, no problem I say. They advise they will call me to let me know when it's ready. So I paid and off I went. Day 8: I call them to check that my bike will be ready to pick up that weekend as I hadn't heard anything from them. They put me on hold as they can't find my paperwork. The guy gets back on the phone and says yes, absolutely, it should be ready by Saturday which is day 10. I request a call back just to confirm that this is the case so I don't waste my time coming in if it's not ready. He advises that it's marked to get a call when it's ready for collection. Day 11: I call and leave a message as no one was answering the phone in the morning. By midday I had no response so sent an email as well requesting a call as per my voice mail message that morning. By 3pm I hadn't gotten a call back so decided to call them again. Finally got through to someone who couldn't find my paperwork and put me on hold again. He came back on the phone to advise that my bike hadn't been set up because my paperwork had been overlooked. Great. So even after I called a few days before it was due to be picked up as per your company's 10 business day turn around quote, you still haven't gotten it ready. I get an apology from person on phone, I realise it's not his fault however am having trouble containing my frustration. He advises that he will see what he can do and call me back. 3pm same day he calls me back and advises that it's ready for pick up. I advise that it isn't really helpful as it's a Sunday afternoon and I'm busy out of town with family. I had set aside time the day before when it was meant to be due to be picked up to get this done. I advise that I can't get back into the store until the following weekend as I have no time during the week. By this stage I'm feeling like I've just handed over $400 to a company to screw me around and offer me no customer service what-so-ever. So I go in the following Saturday to pick up my bike. They wheel it out and it doesn't have the studded seat as per my order. They apologise and take it away to fix. They bring it back out again and hand it over. I was advised when I was looking at the bike that they would get me to sit on it so that it can be adjusted to my height. There was no adjusting. There was no looking at anything. I was handed the bike and the guy spun on his heels and walked away without a word. Suffice to say that I wasn't really happy with the service to date so I sent an email the following week in regards to my experience and how poorly it was handled. To this day I still haven't gotten a response from management or the store. So if you're after a bike? Go somewhere else. I'm gutted that I have to use these people for servicing for the next 3 years as it is. Apart from that the bike works well. Pity about the actual non-existent customer service though. read more

If you want excellent customer service, go somewhere where they'll kiss your ass. All they have here are great quality bikes at great prices - perfect for those just starting to ride! They're patient and answer your questions, not like bike snobs in a lot of other shops. Yeah, hard to get them on the phone but at low prices expect them to be understaffed. What? You want bargain price bikes with high priced customer service? Sorry, all you'll get here are good bikes an great down to earth people. read more

Great customer service! My husband and I went in on Saturday to buy a vintage bike for my birthday and we got a great package that included a bike rack for the car, basket and basket liner, lights, helmet, chain lubricant and D lock. Josh also helped us fix the bike rack to our car. The staff were very friendly and informative, will definitely recommend for all vintage bike needs. We called ahead prior to going in and they were helpful on the phone too. Looking forward to getting out and riding my bike this weekend! read more
