The muffin was delicious - tasted very healthy but also sweet and was the perfect morning treat after a workout. The smoothie was also great and pretty filling. The matcha was amazing. I've had matcha at a few different places in Delafield and have not been super thrilled about them. This one was great and I would 100% recommend it - not too sweet and didn't just taste like oat milk. Meg told us that in order to serve this tea, the matcha company basically had to interview her and instruct her on the best ceremonial practices. I recently attended the winter solstice sound bath, and going into it this time, I knew what to expect. That being said, I dressed a bit warmer and extra comfy and brought additional blankets because I personally become very cold during the sound bath, especially at certain times when the sound vibrates through my body. It feels like actual icicles moving through me. I'm not normally a cold person, so it's definitely part of the experience for sure. I also love the guided meditation aspect of it. I don't think I would want to attend one without it, because it's such a nice added feature. I love that after the session, cards are given out and there's time to reflect on them. It also opens up space for any questions you might have about the experience that day, or more generally about the instruments, sound baths, or the other classes and services they offer. I'm not going to lie--the first time I did a sound bath, I actually got motion sick during it. However, the second time I didn't, which just goes to show that each experience is different for me. I feel extremely well-rested afterward, energized yet deeply relaxed. My night's sleep after is amazing--absolutely amazing--and I feel kind of reset for the week in a way that's just different. I definitely need to do these more frequently. I'm thinking maybe attending all the solstice ones would be a good way to keep things going. I went with a friend, and it was her first time as well. She also had a really great experience--similar, yet different. They also have an entire storefront. I didn't have time to go through it, but from what I glanced at while making my way into the room, they have some really cute and adorable items. I know they sell the essential oils used during class, including some of their own blends. The blend used was really nice, and I could definitely see myself going back to get one of their custom blends. I specifically asked Amy to focus on my left shoulder and upper body. She got scared when I whinced as she moved my arm at one point. I expected a professional to understand and know what to do about loosening up the ligaments and tendons that would cause the tightness. Instead she wasted time on other areas and avoided the my shoulder all together. I workout quite a bit and I am used to having sore areas that need additional blood flow so having a good massage usually alleviates the tightness and soreness. After I questioned why she avoided my shoulder area she told I had to go see a doctor. She told me she had fifteen years experience but she clearly lacks confidence in her abilities with anything other than a spa massage.

I spoke to Michael about the treatments I'd been receiving on my shoulder, and when I mentioned Elements Massage, he asked if the therapist was Thom. Apparently he knew Thom, so Michael explained the technique that Thom used was Chinese Tui Na and used the same technique, since it was so effective for me. In the hour, Michael found at least 4 huge knots in my pectorals and shoulder area and got rid of them. He will be on my short list for future massage therapists. His rate is usually $80 per hour, but he is currently running a summer and fall special with $45 hour sessions. He typically only works 9:00 to 5:00 Monday through Friday, but is willing to schedule an evening appointment if needed. I definitely recommend him, especially for sports injury massage treatments.
