The community is one of the best parts -- there's a great mix of creative professionals, entrepreneurs, and remote workers, which makes collaboration and networking easy and natural. The meeting rooms are well-equipped, the Wi-Fi is fast, and the food station is always stocked and inviting. I also appreciated how quiet and focused the space stayed during the workday, yet there were still plenty of opportunities to connect. Overall, Salt Mine truly supports both individual work and team collaboration. What went well: * Inspiring, well-designed space * Supportive staff and community * Reliable Wi-Fi and great amenities * Productive, professional environment * Easy access and parking Highly recommend Salt Mine to anyone looking for a professional, welcoming, and motivating place to work.

Since more people are working remotely, the definition of "the office" has changed and is now much more collaborative and flexible. The Shop does a nice job of accommodating different work styles in this one location. You can work out in the open space if you prefer to be around other people. If you need a bit more privacy, there are smaller areas where you can work or take calls without bothering those around you. There are board rooms with conference tables that you can reserve for meetings too. There's a centrally located kitchen area where you can grab food or drinks and catch up on the latest office gossip. The nice thing is that since there are so many different organizations represented, there's no shortage of gossip! My only hang-up with this location is the parking. It's near Trax, which is wonderful, but if you drive your vehicle, you'll be paying for parking and walking a little. Not terrible, but for a facility that's meant to bring people from all over together, it's a bit of a challenge with the parking. Otherwise, if you're in the market for a shared work space this one is worth considering.

Long gone are the days of cubicles with assigned seating, corner offices-or any offices at all- for that matter. Many people recently have shifted their working environments to being remote-whether that be at home, on the road or a temporary space. This dynamic setup can be challenging when you need to have a team meeting, conference or need a space with reliable WiFi if your home office is not available. Kiln is the perfect solution for that! You can rent space for very short term (a meeting for the day) or longer term space if needed. Everything you could need is included, and you don't have to do anything except show up and get your work done. One of my favorite things about this location is the beautiful decor and ambiance. It's trendy and modern, not like working in a dreary office building with no personality. And places like this tend to attract similar type people-so you're likely to interact with some cool folks. What stands out most is how consistently they go above and beyond. I was working late this week preparing for a board meeting and had my little one with me. A Kiln staff member, Karina, asked if she could grab her a snack. I was so focused I almost missed the gesture--but moments later she returned with a full plate of apples, peanut butter, cashews, and dried mango. My daughter was thrilled. It was such a small, thoughtful act, and it genuinely caught me off guard in the best way. It's moments like this that make Kiln feel human. Many repair appointments were no-shows, and we lost a lot of hours waiting. We saw trouble before closing. At our pre-closing walkthrough, fewer than half of the items we'd flagged had been fixed. We pushed closing back because of it, and some items still weren't done when we signed. After closing, the superintendent seemed surprised we'd closed at all, and the house clearly hadn't been cleaned before we moved in. Here's what we've dealt with since: water coming through the ceiling and walls and ruining furniture; leaky doors because the storm doors were never installed; most interior doors needing rework just to latch; a heater vent left open under the hardwood (since fixed); wall sections that were never painted; damaged cabinets and cracked shelves; a faulty thermostat; a bent window well that took several tries to fix; and landscaping that wasn't properly replaced after their crews worked on it. The concrete has been the worst part. They couldn't get the big stains out, so they painted over them. The painted surface now holds dirt and scratches easily. The concrete also cracked, and the cracks keep growing. Their repair attempt made it worse, and now the whole thing has to be replaced. If you're looking at Sego, go in with your eyes open and get everything in writing.

The negative side would be the houses looked all the same and were side by side together. What enticed me the most about the community was the lake, called "Oquirrh Lake" which runs through a bridge called "The Cross Water Bridge." The trail or lake is one of the amenities the community has, with a running trail made of asphalt. There are many ducks, and wildlife all around, especially around the boardwalk. Adjacent to the community are businesses such as salons/Barbershops, a market, and restaurants all within walking distance. In contrast, to the comments posted previously, I cannot attest to any of that since I am not a resident and just someone passing through.
