I came recently for a friend's event at their home, and was still amazed by the views. I would love a place like this. Although I wouldn't actually personally live here, as we enjoy living close to downtown, but I appreciate the beauty and all the fun community events that occur here. I especially love the rows of houses that decorate their houses for Halloween.

I came across Daybreak for the first time on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. From an outside perspective,…read morethe community looked very clean, landscaping maintained, brand-new houses, and a nice place to live. The negative side would be the houses looked all the same and were side by side together. What enticed me the most about the community was the lake, called "Oquirrh Lake" which runs through a bridge called "The Cross Water Bridge." The trail or lake is one of the amenities the community has, with a running trail made of asphalt. There are many ducks, and wildlife all around, especially around the boardwalk. Adjacent to the community are businesses such as salons/Barbershops, a market, and restaurants all within walking distance. In contrast, to the comments posted previously, I cannot attest to any of that since I am not a resident and just someone passing through.

We've owned our Sego home for about a year, and nearly all of that year has gone to chasing…read morerepairs. Some of the problems were there on day one. Many repair appointments were no-shows, and we lost a lot of hours waiting. We saw trouble before closing. At our pre-closing walkthrough, fewer than half of the items we'd flagged had been fixed. We pushed closing back because of it, and some items still weren't done when we signed. After closing, the superintendent seemed surprised we'd closed at all, and the house clearly hadn't been cleaned before we moved in. Here's what we've dealt with since: water coming through the ceiling and walls and ruining furniture; leaky doors because the storm doors were never installed; most interior doors needing rework just to latch; a heater vent left open under the hardwood (since fixed); wall sections that were never painted; damaged cabinets and cracked shelves; a faulty thermostat; a bent window well that took several tries to fix; and landscaping that wasn't properly replaced after their crews worked on it. The concrete has been the worst part. They couldn't get the big stains out, so they painted over them. The painted surface now holds dirt and scratches easily. The concrete also cracked, and the cracks keep growing. Their repair attempt made it worse, and now the whole thing has to be replaced. If you're looking at Sego, go in with your eyes open and get everything in writing.

Financial Deception: Massive hidden fees weren't disclosed, and they even charge residents for standard repairs. Safety & Noise: It's chaotic here--too many people walk dogs without leashes, and there are loud parties after 10 PM with zero enforcement of quiet hours. Ridiculous Trash Policy: You can only take out trash between 5-6 PM, which is impossible. To make matters worse, the trash room downstairs is often locked; getting rid of garbage feels like a game of luck. Poor Maintenance: The elevator breaks down constantly (3 times in one month), and the hallways smell strongly of formaldehyde.

Extremely concerning housing application experience…read more My experience with Lehi Tech Apartments was deeply disappointing and raises serious concerns about how prospective tenants are evaluated and treated. It felt discriminatory. I received conflicting information multiple times through about my application process: one being, an automated email stated it had not been submitted, while the application portal showed it had been received and was 94% reviewed. I contacted the office for clarification and felt my concerns were dismissed rather than addressed. I was subsequently denied housing based on "harsh and abusive language and conduct." When I asked them to identify the specific conduct supporting that allegation, they did not directly answer the question but included even more broad generalized statements about my character. That is extremely concerning. Housing decisions should be based on consistent, objective criteria--not vague judgments about an applicant's character or generalized conclusions about their demeanor. While also not acknowledging how they mishandled the situation numerous times to create the frustration. I believe applicants are entitled to respectful treatment when raising legitimate concerns, just as management expects respectful treatment from applicants. This experience raises serious questions and concerns about the fairness and objectivity of the process. Do not rent from them.
