When you're a new customer they roll out the red carpet... But soon that red carpet turned Into an old dusty rug. The policies & procedures of this bank are outdated, relic in nature & waaaaayyyyy too time consuming. Without going into account sensitive details, a dispute process takes 90 days, provisional credits are provided relative to the case. Trying to get card services representatives on the line is even difficult WHEN INSIDE THE BRANCH. I have too many other things to contend with than to have to sit & hold the line, or wait 90 days for a dispute. This just isn't the bank for a busy business person. They're too behind the times. Late & lagging responses from bank individuals. They just recently instituted mobile banking... Good bye. I'll leave y'all for thr snails.

Over the last few months I have become more concerned about the JP Morgan name (a somewhat infamous robber baron in America's early history, whose railroads had a nasty tendency of crushing strikes by the workers), but individual people and the availability of local branches has so far kept me loyal. Chase bank's app and signage in their branches really try to position them as a bank for the common person. But their emphasis on "private clients" - who apparently have more status than the "common man" - and their emphasis on "wealth management" give me concern that they actually are primarily a bank for rich people Today Tenesha offered me a perfect combination of very polished and professional presence with natural friendliness. She told me that she is beginning to move from simply being a cashier to also being a banker. I like the model at Chase that has people switching up roles. I could see her being a wonderful banker. When I asked to get the card for one of their bankers, so that I would have personal numbers to call when the 800 number lets me down - as it has on occasion - she gave me the card of Jennifer Martin. I am going to be in New Orleans for another two or three months and have business dealings in the Audubon Park neighborhood. I may have occasion to ask Jennifer for help - and hope that she will be as responsive as some other Chase bankers have proven to be.

Similarly, there is the super sweet staff. NEVER a line!! And as soon as you walk in the door, they greet you and ask how they can help you. Too much activity on your card (and heaven forbid you make loads of purchases out of town) means for a phone call, but it's easy enough to get in touch to alert them that you actually don't spend 365 days a year in NOLA. All around, I just like this bank. There. I said it. No Chase or other major banks for me. I'll stick with Bank of New Orleans. PS. car loans, too! Last tax season, I went in there at my wit's end, in tears since me and money didn't see eye-to-eye. But April calmed me down and helped me resolve my perceived mini-crisis. She saved me money and offered me suggestions I didn't even think about! I left, feeling so grateful to be getting such excellent customer service. I needed to print out multiple month's statements since I wasn't able to access their online system. Keith helped me out, remembering me several hours later when I went back to pick them all up. He put them all into a nice folder with his business card in there. And their service has been consistent since that day. They remember my name and manage to continue the conversation from last time. Talk about the extra touch! Editor's Note- as many other Yelpers have said, Iberia's online system is horrible. One of the problems is that you HAVE to change your password every 6 months. And the site is pretty limited in its capabilities. You can't deposit checks online, transfer money, view the check owner's information. So you HAVE to go to a branch to get them to reset your password. Pretty annoying, and the main reason I went to this branch. But they did such a great job, I now don't actually mind the inconvenience. It gives me a chance to see April and Keith again.
