I recently opened a SAVINGS ACCOUNT with Regions, i already had a checking but not a savings so it seemed like a good idea. When i started the account they sent me an ATM card for use with it. Then, later on, say 5 to 7 days?, they sent me the mail-out that had the PIN #. After activating the card, i went to the Alabaster branch to deposit some monies in my new savings account via the drive-thru ATM. The PIN # they sent me was incorrect or at least according to the ATM machine it was. I tried 5 unsuccessful times to enter this pin and then gave up and went inside to the tellers. The teller informed me that they couldn't do anything about the number and that i would have to call the number on the back of the card to get things straight. I was able to make the deposit inside and then left knowing that i still needed to get in touch with someone else to correct my pin # issue. Today, i called the number on the back of the card and the person on the other end informed me that the pin number needed to be corrected through a branch and that all that could be done was to send me another mail-out with the pin #. At this point, it was like watching the old "Who's on first?" routine from Abbot & Costello. "No we can't help you go see this guy. That was wrong they CAN help you, not us so - please go back to square one." As per most of my dealings with REGIONS BANK, i am left frustrated and wondering why i haven't switched to another financial institution yet. I will end up with another mail-out that has the same non-working pin number and then i will start this whole thing all over again.

Regions Bank tellers are all generally pretty rude, but today's teller was also racist! None of your business, that's what! Regions will be loosing both my personal and business accounts along with other family members accounts. They will also be hearing from my lawyer soon.

They utilize all the notorious lowdown tricks reputable banks have long since been pressured to abandon; the most recent of which involved stealing almost four thousand dollars from my husband's business ("holding" the check they called it, for over a week...at the beginning of the month, so that he couldn't pay his employees or bring home enough to cover our mortgage and bills.) The worst part of their theft wasn't the vague justification they gave for their actions, or even the fact they refused to let him close his account on the spot (wouldn't refund his money) but that he spoke to three - THREE! - different BBVA employees who lied to him about when the funds would be available. A teller, a manager, and a customer service representative. All three of them gave him different answers and none of those answers were accurate. The manager even admitted that it was a money making scheme designed to cause him to overdraft his account in the (what ended up being) EIGHT DAYS before he could access his cash. Meanwhile, we were late on our mortgage and bills, his employees were paid a week late, and we incurred credit card interest fees from using those to get by while we waited for BBVA to ALLOW us access to our own money. DO NOT BANK HERE. It's a hard pass from me. I assume my husband will close his account first thing tomorrow now that he's finally received his money.
