We were in the InNOut parking and I flagged Ahmad the driver down. He said that he wasn't dispatched and was heading for lunch but would help if it was quick. He had our service call routed to him and right away took care of us except it wasn't the battery and it was the gear shifter. Ahmad is a life safer. I highly recommend this company. Unfortunately, the following week I had to call AAA again for RB Towing because my daughter's gear shifter broke again. The first 2 guys didn't know how to manually put the gear in drive so to the rescue was Ahmad again. He is my hero again! Give that man a raise! When I reviewed the paperwork from Star Towing, I noticed the authorization form claims my car was first seen there at 2:43 PM which is impossible because I wasn't even there at that time. Their own documentation shows a time that doesn't match reality. When I contacted them about it, instead of explaining the discrepancy they told me to "take it up with the restaurant." The restaurant then told me Star Towing has a patrol agreement and they don't call them to tow cars. So both sides pointed fingers at each other while ignoring the incorrect time written on the official tow authorization. I gave them a chance to fix this directly. They refused to review it, refused to explain it, and refused to take responsibility. Just pay the fee and move along that's the attitude I got. I've already filed a small claims case and will be pursuing this formally. They'll be receiving notice and will have to explain the timeline and paperwork accuracy to a judge. Documentation matters, especially when you're charging people hundreds of dollars based on it. Also worth noting I looked for their current Better Business Bureau accreditation sticker and couldn't find an updated one and many public reviews raise concerns about their practices. People should do their research before assuming everything is legitimate.
