The woman doing the appraisals seemed to be well trained, but she had no ability to negotiate the extremely low prices she placed on my jewelry. I understand that I will take a loss on the items I sell (there's a huge markup in new diamonds, for example). But, the amount of money she was willing to give me was insultingly low. I left the office upset, and felt I could have easily been scammed. I'd advise jewelry sellers find a business where the person who will be buying your diamonds, gold, etc be the decision maker/owner. They are the only people who have negotiating power in these transactions.

There was only one person serving customers at the time, but he was great at pointing out where I can find different products. I happen to be a fan of cameras and was looking for lenses, and found quite a few items for sale that were selling for a fraction of the regular price online. In addition to that, they had all kinds of other things in stock, including musical instruments, DVD's, games, bicycles, and more. I will think twice of avoiding going into a pawn shop the next time I encounter one.
