Very nice jeweler in the business strip behind Gaslight Theater. I came in to see about this faux pearl necklace of my wife's who received it from her late mother. It was discolored. Jack was professional, very friendly, and informative. He gave me a jar of their pearl cleaner. Gave. He has a wonderful personality. This jeweler has several collectables, too. Porcelain dolls, trains, etc. and also importantly, coins. They have a numismatist Tuesdays through Saturdays and do appraisals with offer to buy. I find this jeweler to be very helpful and friendly. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Tucson-top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. I recently was in need of purging a bag of random gold/silver items along with having two vintage/family rings sized. I popped in on a Saturday morning and must say the customer service here was wonderful - the initial visit and the follow up visit. The gentleman who helped me took careful time looking at my items, and align on what is next. I was pleasantly surprised to get a nice chunk of change for my random gold/silver and felt solid leaving two invaluable rings in their care. It took two weeks to get the rings back which really is record time for quality repair. When I picked up the rings, I was perusing their jewelry cases and must say I may not ever go to a retail jeweler again after looking at some of their beautiful items! Today my girlfriend took a bracelet into the store to have it looked at and valued, the employee who refused to give us his name after he took a file to her bracelet and gouged it, after she told him it had been passed on from great grandmother on down to her. AFTER he damaged it beyond repair she asked why he destroyed her piece and he told her it was worthless, though she never had an opportunity to decide if they could ruin the piece or not trying to determine it's alue. I had to watch her cry bexaus this person decided that if he couldn't make money off of it that it must be worth nothing to anyone else. I wouldn't bother writing this review if the employee hadn't been so rude and smug about it after she asked him why he ruined her bracelet. When she asked his name so she could speak to his boss he replied that his first name was good, middle name was ole and last name was Tom. If you want to be treated like dirt and ridiculed we found just the place, she only wanted an apology or for him to try to buff out the discoloration he caused and he made fun of her and then had the nerve to threaten to call the police because her bracelet turned out to not be real. So rude employees who destroy your property and then make you feel small and humiliated because your not rich, then come on into good ole toms! I saw a couple of Native American pendants online that I just HAD TO HAVE, and placed an order with Good Ole Tom's on a Sunday morning, taking a chance (not having purchased from them before). The next morning I received both a voice mail message and an email, notifying me of a glitch with their webpage -- one of my pendants wasn't correctly shown in the photos. They had another similar pendant, at a different price, that SHOULD have been in the photo. What to do? I proposed that I buy ALL THREE pendants if they agreed to a sizable discount of $50. Before the day was over, the good ole folks at Tom's agreed to my deal, and the jewelry was shipped out that afternoon. They arrived today in perfect BEAUTIFUL condition.
