    Dead gnats in sink

To say highly disappointed would not even begin to explain the experience my children and I had. We were excited to enjoy Minions 2 doing one of our favorite things to do as a family. While the trailers were rolling my son (6 years old) began to complain of having a headache. We go to theaters all the time. This is his first time complaining of this (also first visit at this location) I noticed that the resolution was well below what you would expect with it being 2022. The images we were presented with were blurry and looked as though they were from the early 2000s nothing like what we've grown accustomed to visiting other venues. The audio was iffy at best it appeared most of the volume was coming from near the screen and not much of a surround sounds type you would expect. I shrugged this off and my son powered through with the excitement of the movie fast approaching. When the trailers had ended a employee came and checked the thermostat. Approximately 10 minutes after this the top of my head began to sweat and children in the top row complained of having a hard time breathing. A parent from this group went out and informed the employees at the concession stand. Another 10-15 minutes or so passed and no employees had been seen entering the auditorium. At this point I made my way to the concession stand to ask if anything was being done about the heat in auditorium 3 to which the employee responded with auditorium 3,4 and 5 were all complaining of heat issues. I again asked if anything was being done. To which I was given the response of it was an older building, at this point I asked to speak to a manager. The manager came out of her office and came to let me voice my concerns. She said she would look into this immediately. I stood by while she went to auditorium 3. Another gentlemen at this point in the lobby asked if our movie was unbearably hot as well. The manager came back and informed us that the thermostat had somehow got turned into the heat mode and had no idea how it had happened. I informed said manager of her employee coming to the t-stat in the auditorium prior to the heat becoming an issue. At this point again I was told it was an old building and it would take some time for the auditorium to cool. I went back to the auditorium and attempted to enjoy the rest of the movie at this time. By the end of the movie it had cooled to 78 degrees in the auditorium according to the thermostat. Mind you this is after we sat in over 80 degree heat from an hour and a half movie. I wish I could say it ends there. The restrooms were completely disgusting and had gnats and flies all over the urinals and sinks. Not just one of 2 either I took pictures of this situation. To top all of this off there was hand towels thrown against the wall. I asked the manager if there was anything that could be done to make this situation right to which I was given a passive stare and that was all. The outside of the theatre was recently painted and looks great along with the new pavement in the parking lot however the interior of this entire building is well below subpar. At this time I have no intentions of returning to this establishment.

Solid movie theatre...we need more of these. We need to continue to have safe and air conditioned places for people to watch films

Clean, first run films and great service. I didn't give 5 stars because they never have any wine to purchase.

Regal Cinemas shouldn't have the word 'cinema' in it; that's far too upscale and urbane for this small-town movie theate

Smallest theater I've ever been…read more This theater is located in the town of Willits. It has three movie screens in the building. We watched The Meg in an evening show and the price was fairly cheap at $9 a person for general admission. Don't expect a chain of movie theaters with multiple screens or reclining seats & self-service ticketing kiosks. This is a small town movie house with friendly service and a nice smile from the young people working at the theater. Pay for tickets at the outside window and they will buzz you in. As soon as you're inside the theater the concession stand and snack bar is right there in front of you with just a few steps. Inside the movie theater is very clean with new chairs. The red chairs (or was it maroon?) do not recline but they are comfy. TRIVIA: Ever wondered why movie theaters have red seats? It's because red is the first color that is lost to our sight in low-light conditions... anything red virtually disappears once the house lights go down. The movies showing at the time were pretty current. The Meg was only on its second day after its release date. Other two movies showing were Christopher Robin and Mission Impossible. I love the spacious leg room in between rows of seats, the aisles are wide as well. The theater was not full on a Saturday evening, very nice date night with the hubby. I enjoyed my experience in this theater. Review #1114

I have never experienced it but I have thumbed through many old photos of drive in's and it always has always invoked this nostalgic feeling of old summer days and movies under the stars. Lakeport auto movies was opened in 1974 and is one of the handful of drive-in's left in California. Buying tickets online is easy at: lakeportautomovies.com. Prices are $25 per car plus a $3 book fee. When you get there, they can scan the ticket on your phone for contactless entry. Once you are in, you park between the yellow lines (yes the cars are very socially distanced!!). It can be hard to see in the dark but you look to park between the cones. Buying snacks are easy! Once you are in, you can order snacks on their website and you will receive a text message once your food is ready. You will need to wear a mask to check in and pick up your snacks at the snack bar. Here are a few tips to help first timers like myself: - The road driving up from down south (I was driving from Santa Rosa) is very twisty and windy on 175. It can be extremely hard to see in the pitch dark and yes, I did have a deer try to run out at me. - If you do not want to use your car FM radio you can rent a radio for $4 plus a $10 deposit and leave your ID as collateral. - Our car battery died after the movie (didn't think it was going to happen, its a newer car too) and luckily there were staff members ready to assist with jump starting your car!! THANK YOU guys for that!!! We were not the only ones, at least 6-7 other cars had the same issue afterwards. Not the best way to end a good movie but be prepared- bring a jump starter or better yet, your own radio so you can avoid draining your car battery. - SNACKS: 1 person can pick up per car. Pulled pork nachos are bomb! I thought the Large cherry iced slush was a small size and not LARGE as I had ordered but still good. Please fix the text messaging system. Right after I ordered, I got a text message saying my order will be ready in 1.5 hours (pretty much by the time the movie is over). I ignored it and got a text message it was ready 15 mins later. I also LOVE the fact they gave me a small clear trash bag to take with me so everything gets disposed easily afterwards. - RESTROOMS: Both portable potties and regular men/women toilet restrooms. The restrooms are in HORRIBLE condition. It is so run down and dirty. It definitely needs an upgrade. The door didn't even lock either. Everything in there is so old and gross. That was the only negative! Otherwise, enjoy your drive in movie experience. I would love to come again despite the twisted 35 mins of windy road through the mountains.

I truly enjoy coming here; it has such a nostalgic feeling for me. The movie selection is always great, and while it's a smaller theater, it still the largest theater we have in Santa Rosa. I do hope it gets a bit of a refresh, as it's beginning to look a little worn. With the Rohnert Park theater closing, I really hope this one stays in business it means a lot to me. I'll definitely be coming back.

That's a crime in itself. But then the $10 icee? Come on. 2 icees and 1 medium popcorn was $30. So almost $100 to go to the movies for a family of 4. That's ridiculous , but we'll pay it since we go to the movies once a year (if that) and the kids enjoy it. My real problem was this outdated theater and the cleanliness etc. Yes I know this is an old theater and it's been there for years but it looks like it's still in the 90's. It's so outdated and run down looking. It's dirty and trashed. The floors were dirty and covered in popcorn and litter. Garbages were overflowing , everything was sticky feeling. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting and dirty. The theater and seats itself were terrible. There was popcorn and trash all over the floors and stuck IN the sides of the seats. Spilled icee all over the little table and cup holders. The "leather" on the seats is completely worn off so it's just the fabric underneath. Just gross. For how expensive this "experience" was , I at LEAST expect it to be clean. Roxy is closest to our house but I'll drive the extra 15min to go to airport cinemas next time we go to the movies. Super disappointed.
