So sad to see this theater starting to show its age. I still remember when I first came to the U.S. my family brought me here to watch my very first movie, and every visit since brings back those memories. I truly enjoy coming here; it has such a nostalgic feeling for me. The movie selection is always great, and while it's a smaller theater, it still the largest theater we have in Santa Rosa. I do hope it gets a bit of a refresh, as it's beginning to look a little worn. With the Rohnert Park theater closing, I really hope this one stays in business it means a lot to me. If I could give zero stars, I would. I'm sooooo disappointed in this place. We went to see Zootopia 2 yesterday. A family of 4 (2 kids, 2 adults). It was $60 for the matinee tickets. That's a crime in itself. But then the $10 icee? Come on. 2 icees and 1 medium popcorn was $30. So almost $100 to go to the movies for a family of 4. That's ridiculous , but we'll pay it since we go to the movies once a year (if that) and the kids enjoy it. My real problem was this outdated theater and the cleanliness etc. Yes I know this is an old theater and it's been there for years but it looks like it's still in the 90's. It's so outdated and run down looking. It's dirty and trashed. The floors were dirty and covered in popcorn and litter. Garbages were overflowing , everything was sticky feeling. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting and dirty. The theater and seats itself were terrible. There was popcorn and trash all over the floors and stuck IN the sides of the seats. Spilled icee all over the little table and cup holders. The "leather" on the seats is completely worn off so it's just the fabric underneath. Just gross. For how expensive this "experience" was , I at LEAST expect it to be clean. Roxy is closest to our house but I'll drive the extra 15min to go to airport cinemas next time we go to the movies. I just don't think the sound system was good I should have felt like I was in the movie not in front of a television all the sound was at the screen.......not sure why I had to pay full price for less than......when Sacramento theaters and San Fransisco make you feel like you're in the relax state with surround sound!!! Interesting experience... My wife and I were in town for an event that got cancelled, so we thought "hey, let's go see a movie." Doing a quick internet search we found the RS 14. It was interesting to say the least. First, I have to say the parking was convenient (the first 90 mins was comped if you had the theater validate your ticket (most movies are well over that length). Then, we tried to use our printed ticket at the kiosk as directed, but nothing came out after it beeped. We tried two to no avail. Then we went to the check in person who had to call the manager, who used a different machine and we were all set (smooth as gravel in your shoe). We got checked in and the check in person didn't bother to tell us which direction to go so we asked (hated to inconvenience her). Apparently it was "upstairs" which turned out to be up two escalators (poor signage). We got to our seats, which were the worst of any movie theater I have been in in over six decades of drawing breath. Still, the movie started on time, the popcorn and sodas were great, and the crowd (of which there were maybe 12 in the whole theater) were reasonably well behaved. The seats were beyond torn up. For the most part, today's movie theaters are the same anywhere you go. For that reason, my theater reviews are pretty much consistent throughout. Items that would remove starts would be, poor access, team member or dirty theater. Lets get started. This is a very nice theatre, that had ample 'parking lot parking' with ticket validatin. Spacious lobby and a full variety of food. We purchased our tickets ahead of time so it was a real easy entrance. They have a line set up for pre-paid members so they was virtually no wait. We got to the theatre early and ordered popcorn (which wasn't cheap, it never is.) The team here is very friendly and helpful. The comfortable reclining seats, and sound were excellent. Been coming here for so long but still things can't get cleaned. There's popcorn all over the elevators and the carpets are dirty and dingy. We pay for stadium seats but the trays are broken. Be careful with putting stuff on them and the chairs need repairing as they are peeling. read more

The Roxy Theather has always been our go to since they opened when I was kid. We love the large spacious atmosphere and the easy parking garage. It's our preferred movie theater. I would rate the service 8/10. The staff are helpful and friendly. But since our last visit were going to also check the surrounding theaters next time. Neutral rating due to the cleanliness of the establishment. First, outside of the theater where the movie displays are- looks like its been neglected or given up on. There's tagging and old movies displayed I wouldn't know how long. Secondly, everytime we come there's popcorn and trash on the floors but hey it's a movie theater what do you expect- probably a busy night. Last but certainly not the least was a wrap for me- is the BATHROOM. I have the ebeegeebees when it comes to mold or just filth. The bathroom stalls were clean so that was fine but it was definitely the sink that threw my whole experience off. Definitely needs to be replaced or deep cleaned after years on years sink is corroded with black mold. But other than that, we had a great time. They did get new reclining seats. Very comfortable and spacious. A lot of staff working at the food court. Cant wait till they open and service the second level popcorn area, maybe they do but the last few times I've been there it has been closed. Or boxes of popcorn piled up. always came to this theater since its local but honestly the experience has gotten so down. when i got there Sunday night some workers were on their phone and not attentive. i didnt even know who to go to when trying to get food and drinks since like 5 of them were all doing nothing lmao. worst of it all they put a ridiculous amount of butter it leaked through the bag of popcorn, made a puddle, and stained my clothes literally leaving it yellow. like these workers not doing the bare minimum of what seems like an easy job lol read more

So I think the last movie I saw at this place was Miyazaki's Spirited Away in 2001. So it had been a while since I been there. However my wife and I went there to see the new Beetlejuice movie and it looks like they put a lot of work into the place over the years. Those seats are amazingly comfortable, the sound is great. I especially like that the stadium seating isn't dizzyingly high. read more

I went with 4 senior citizens to a matinee. I had called ahead to find out the cost of the tickets. Per announcement on the phone senior tickets were $9.75, and general admission before 4pm was $10. When I went to purchase tickets the person said the cost was $12 per person. I told her I had called and what the cost was advertised. She just shrugged and said the announcement hadn't been updated! I think she just charged us what she wanted because matinees were also advertised $10 before 4pm. We went to the 12:30 show. Needless to say, I won't be going back to this theater. read more

I've been going here for 25+ years, no complaints. One time people took our seats and wouldn't leave but service staff quickly took care of it. Missed the first 10 minutes of Deadpool Wolverine but that is not the fault of the venue. read more

If you just want to watch a movie, this works. However, this theatre has a lot to work on. The seats are comfortable and do recline, but they are ripped and fraying and the cup holders are disgusting. There is also a mini "wall" between each row which can be good depending on the person, but as a shorter person it did block some of my view unless I sat super straight. The concessions are average, and they have a popcorn flavoring section with the flavor powders which is pretty nice. Overall it's not the worst but has a lot to work on. read more

Bit dirty. Bathroom was filthy, overflowing paper all over the floor. Let staff know about it before my movie started. I had to use the restroom as I was leaving. Nothing was done about it. All the workers seem to be nice, but they're just chilling doing the least possible sitting on their phones. I could see just hanging around if the place was clean, but it's a mess. Should be emptying trash cans cleaning bathroom instead of just sitting around. It might be time to get a new manager cleanliness seems to be an issue as I was reading some of the other reviews. A theater that I visit often. It's in rough shape in general as there is so much traffic that comes through this space and my issue is that the bathrooms are nearly abandoned. There needs to be regular checks and It's a societal failure and each person needs to do their part in keeping tidy. However, this place could benefit with regular managing of the restrooms both upstairs and downstairs. read more

We were in Theatre 8...even the walls are dirty....it JUST NEEDS CLEANING, NOT REMODELING! We both noticed how bad it smelled in there..like dirty dogs. The escalator was FILTHY! I WILL NEVER GO BACK! Today I brought my mom to see a movie. She's on oxygen and has a hard time walking too far. The girl taking the tickets tells us our theater is upstairs. After a couple of minutes I realize something is wrong and go down to find out what the problem is. Turns out our movie was in a theater on the first floor so we had to gather everything up, take the elevator down and go to the other side of the building, which was almost too much for my mom. I was furious! If it was just me and a friend this would not have been an issue. Later I called to talk to management who immediately started making excuses for the employee which really pissed me off. That is not how you handle a complaint! This girl has 1 job, too look at the ticket and direct you to the right theater, it's not rocket science, and not multitasking, she's sitting there playing on her phone and not paying attention. Again, I can't stress this enough, if it was just me and a friend there would have been no issue with this mistake. Had the "manager" just said "I'm really sorry to hear this happened, I understand your frustration and I will talk to the employee about paying closer attention" I wouldn't be writing this. read more

Tonight we went to see Wicked on premiere night. We were so excited!! We went into theater 2 on a Friday night and all the speakers were out except the front ones next to the screen. The sound was so quiet especially for a musical. We asked for it to be fixed and there said they couldn't. Honestly why show a movie IN A THEATER!!!! If there is no good sound??? Why am I paying to go! The same thing happened in the same theater a month ago when I took my kids to see wild robot but we let it go. So ridiculous and a waste of money. I could not believe the prices. On tops of that you have a whole bunch of young people working and playing around behind the stand, but the prices for a bag of popcorn and drinks. I paid over $8 for a medium drink unbelievable, I paid $70 for a bag of popcorn and 6 drinks I can't even take my children to a movie with out being raped from my money. Theater rooms were so hot inside it was super uncomfortable to sit and watch a movie. I can pay $20 at home to watch the movie and have my own candy and food. This is one of the worst theatres I've ever been to. Why doesn't Santa Rosa have an AMC?! This place is so rundown and filthy. Not to mention no AC. I make it a habit to only go here at night when it's somewhat cooler inside, yet still stuffy. The chairs and cupholders are dirty and have stains/ripped up. Hadn't been in about 20 years (Moulin Rouge was the last movie I saw here) but we're back in the area now and had a very positive experience here recently. Service was good (well, except for one of the employees yelling in the background to another employee right when we were trying to buy tickets through the little voice mic thingy, ouch). Seats were super comfortable, loved the recliners, ours were in pretty darn good shape, no complaints. Theater seemed clean and the movie went off without a hitch, no issues. Parking validation was great and we had a really nice afternoon. We will be back again fairly soon. read more

This definitely is our go to movie night theater. We love doing the online check in and having our seats saved in advance. They have plenty to choose from in the snack bar. The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because they really need to work on reupholstering and fixing the broken chairs, which are all the good ones straight down the middle of each theater. My honest reaction to this theater was " what an embarrassment for Santa Rosa". This theater has great comfy reclining seats and a the expected lobby. The employees are nice. However, the cleanliness of the theater is like no stars. The hallways were filthy with trash and popcorn everywhere! It was so bad it was collecting at the entrance and exits of the escalators. Obviously the manager doesn't care if the escalators continue to work with that amount of debris in and near the machinery. I mean really, I spent &12 for a ticket and $15 on a soda and 4 chicken tenders with ranch dressing. The bathrooms at least were relatively clean however there was paper towels everywhere and at least they didn't smell. But the soap was out in two out of three dispensers and 50% of the toilets were not worth risking your health. I don't know, this not the only business in Santa Rosa that seems like a nuke bombe has gone off and there are no employees b/c of the radiation wasteland. Maybe one day we'll train the zombies to pick up and sweep the trash when it's up to our knees. Ugh! read more

We watched Wicked and the movie it's self was awesome, but the theater was a disaster! I talked to an older gentleman manager on shift and he said it was due to Thanksgiving weekend, but still there is a lot in disrepair and really, there's no excuse for how terribly dirty it was. The floors were covered on the first floor and second floor with popcorn all over the carpet. The tile was sticky with many stains all over. There was even popcorn, stuck in the grate as you got onto the elevator. In the bathrooms, the sink handlebars were all corroded, and gross, there was no soap, no seat covers whatsoever, no toilet paper and toilet paper completely covering every stall on the floor. There was weird white spray on the walls on each stall, clearly not with wiped down in a very long time. The escalators were not wiped down in a very long time. Quite disgusting. Once sitting in the theater, the table to the seat is not working meaning it wouldn't swivel in front to eat off of it. Theaters generally have teenagers working, and there was many folks behind the counter, serving food, but hardly anyone in the halls cleaning up minus the ticket guy. My suggestion would be to have more folks responsible for the continual maintenance of this place throughout the day. Better to go to airport or Petaluma for a clean movie experience. read more

This was my childhood go-to theater and when I'm in town visiting my parents, we love seeing movies here especially over Xmas break. Things I like: - New reclining seats that you can almost sleep in - Upstairs lobby has local beers on tap - Good food selection for kids and adults - Lots of theaters - they do some cool independent movies at times Look it's a big movie theater, will there be popcorn at time on the floors sure, but generally speaking I've found them to keep it fairly clean and location right in downtown can't be beat. During COVID these guys were on top of it, but I'm glad we're past most of that now and they can be fully open again, almost forgot how fun it is to see big blockbusters on huge movie screen with epic surround sound, and my kids love going. They were just old enough to start going when the pandemic started and never got to go for the first 18 months it felt like. Roxy is a solid local theater and it's owned by a local family vs. United or AMC, support your local theaters! read more
