Perhaps it is my ignorance, but having only been to an Omni-IMAX theater, I had a certain expectation when I went to this venue and paid roughly $40 for 2 tickets. I expected a curved screen and an A-V experience not offered by any other theater within a 75 mile radius. And what did I get for almost $40? It's a rectangular screen no different than most any theater. If I was supposed to have some "immersive experience," justifying the almost double-the-conventional-theater price, I overlooked it. The seating is at best okay, and certainly far below the standards at certain other theaters in the area. First and last time I'll go out of my way to go to the Regal Palladium, when I have far better theatres within shouting distance, and at far lower prices. read more

This movie theater was disappointing. First we bought our tickets for $15. I know there's inflation but come on that's just disrespectful to the middle class people of America! Anyways we went in and got in the line to get some popcorn, we waited awhile because they had two people working. Once we got there we ordered the snack pack and were informed there were no fruit snacks. That's fine but then they told us they only have three drinks to choose from. I then asked if I could have a slushee but they had no slushees. Because of this I had to put my health at risk and choose a disgusting Pepsi! If that wasn't bad enough they then told us they had no ice. How do you not have ice????? Then we got our snack pack and the portions were minuscule. It felt like a modern day robbery with the $8 we had wasted on that "snack pack". We then went over to the butter machine to try and improve our dry popcorn and one drop of butter came out of the machine and that was it. As we watched the single drop of butter hit our bucket, all we could do was sigh and think about the days filled with buttered popcorn and blue raspberry slushees. Then, we walked to our theatre with our heads down in the shame of our misfortunes. Once we enter the theater the first thing we notice is that it feels like it's 80 degrees. And also it smelled like a wet fart. All in all it was a horrible experience and I do not recommend. read more

***Do not attend this theater's IMAX if you like to watch movies without your fingers in your ears*** My husband asked them to turn down the volume, they said they would, they didn't. We've had this issue before with other movies at THIS theater. Hey His is the third time we've had to leave because the volume was SO high it was hard to follow. Last time, my husband went and got some paper towels from the bathroom and we stuffed our ears for the duration of the movie. As we walked out this time, the first movie attendant we asked for help shrugged his shoulders and said he wasn't on the clock, sorry. Yeah, that was pretty sorry. Another attendant heard us and called the manager. This time as we were getting our refund (we were really disappointed because we looked forward to seeing John Wick 3 for weeks and after FORTY minutes of previews and 2 visits out to the manager, it still hadn't changed) ... we discussed the issue with the manager who told us that many times some people can't handle it and they have to do refunds, due to the SYSTEM, not the volume, hinting that it's a problem with frequency, not volume. That he could turn the software down a few points, but that was all he could do, he has NO VOLUME SWITCH. I mentioned that I am a professional pianist. I play on stage with symphonies. I record in studios. I understand the difference between frequency and volume - this was not particular frequencies but volume issues. He refunded our money. He was fairly polite, aside from saying it was some people, although, the theater was nearly empty and he said he'd had to do many refunds for the last movie in there and they keep calling the people who calibrate the theater to tell them of the numerous complaints. He did not offer and recompense of any kind and apologized there was nothing else he could do. Needless to say, EXTREMELY disappointed in this experience. I'm fairly certain we will never attend a movie at this theater again. If I could give it less stars for the experience, I would. But because the 3D recliners are pretty nice, it gets a star for those. Meh. read more

My favorite place to go watch a movie. It cost a little more but it's worth it. The atmosphere is nice. The concession stand usually has 5 or more employees taking orders so the line moves quickly. The sound is great. The chairs are oversized and very comfortable. The chairs also recline and every chair has a tray for your concession favorites. They have all the new movie releases. I am giving the Regal Palladium 5 stars because it's the best movie theater in High Point. Here are the reasons: 1. 14 screens -- the most of any theater in High Point. 2. Stadium seating, so your view is never obstructed by the person in front of you. 3. Retractable armrests with cupholders. 4. Comfortable, cushioned seats and the backs recline/are flexible. 5. Movie projectors provide crisp picture quality. Decent sound system. It might even be the best movie theater in the Triad, but I haven't been to enough movie theaters in the Triad to know for sure. I came here on Christmas Day to watch Lincoln and Django Unchained. It was opening day for Django. The Palladium was absolutely packed. So many people! There was a long line to see Django after our showing. Some people actually snuck in while we were still exiting, just so they could get prime seats. The movie was good, but it wasn't *that* good. My first ever recollection of visiting the Palladium was November 23, 2006 (Thanksgiving Day) to see Daniel Craig reboot James Bond in Casino Royale. However, I may have been there before that. Despite the theater's age, the overall condition of the venue is still quite good, including the audio and visual systems. I was impressed with the clarity of both the picture and sound during the previews and movies. The picture was so sharp, I almost wondered if the images weren't being projected, but simply displayed on a giant LED board or something. For as busy as the theater was on Tuesday, it was expectedly messy in the lobby. Lots of popcorn on the ground. Regardless, the Palladium in High Point = success. read more

I love this theater since it opened. It has stadium style seating and I have yet to love any other theater around the Triad area as much, although The Grande in Winston probably comes the closest. Because it's a Regal, the pricing is a little more (I believe $9.75 regular adult), but the movie preview times are not crazy like Carmike. The temperature always is pretty good for me, but for my wife, it's usually pretty cold. If you seat closer to the top of stadium style theaters though, it's warmer up there. In any case, the entrance is easy to get in and out, and there are more and more people that are going (the parking lot used to not fill up to the back, but now usually parking gets back there. Concessions are okay. Usual more pricey stuff. Definitely for the movie experience though, I would recommend this theater. read more

This is our first choice for several reasons. The parking lot feels safe and there always seem to be plenty of people around when we're walking to and from the car. The kids like it because there are some interesting stores to browse through (including ice cream) afterward. The seats are comfortable and they do a good job of cleaning between shows. Ditto for the restrooms. Best of all, I really appreciate the free movies during the summer. Most weeks the offer a G and PG option at 10am on weekdays with a specially priced kids popcorn/drink combo. I'm sure it's not a big money-maker for them, but its a nice thing to do. read more

Theater is clean was very comfortable seating. My friends and I decided at the last minute to go to a movie and the only seats available were on row A. We thought it would be OK and purchased our tickets. NEVER AGAIN. If the only seats available are on row A or B, don't waste your money; wait for another showing. I could deal with sitting on the front row, but did not know we would be about three feet from the screen. We were fully reclined in the seats and still had to tilt our head up; we were basically underneath the screen!!! Had this been an action movie we would have been lost because we were too close to view the entire screen. read more

Everyone is a critic, and I'm no exception. However, I have nothing but glowing things to say about this theater. I worked in a run down movie theater in college, and the staff here have a lot more life and less apathy than we did. I love the way Regal cinema is doing their sitting, and how you can preselect your seats. Theaters in Bangkok, Thailand were doing assigned seats for general seating when I was an exchange student back in 2001, so I am glad we are catching up with the times. The IMAX theater is amazing and the sound quality excellent. The only thing missing is having baristas who know how to make good cappuccinos, but an excellent movie viewing experience otherwise. ;) read more

What happened to this theatre? It used to be my go to theatre growing up, i used to specifically see all my movies here regardless of the format but after seeing the rerelease of Avatar (a grossly overrated movie that is mid at best) in IMAX 3D i was severely frustrated and upset for a majority of the film (Avatar bored me so i left 90% the way thru). The most important complaint is the audio mixing was off and way too loud! During the previews the mixing made the Mission Impossible trailer unbearable to listen to: the music and actual audio from the trailer was clipping and it ear screeching. It didn't get better for the actual movie of Avatar. Though a friend did also share complaint of weird mixing for the film itself but this theatre made an already bad mixing worse. The quiet scenes oddly benefitted from the loud over mixing of the theatre but when the action picked up at towards the end of the movie it was unbearable that i had to cover my ears from how starkly loud the action was compared to the rest of the film. I want to say this isn't me complaining just to complain, when i lived in Raleigh i saw most of the big releases at the Marbles Kids Museums arguably better and genuine IMAX and their audio mixing levels for all the films i saw were never ear piercingly loudly. Ultimately this theatre seemed to embody "IMAX BIG, SOUND NEEDS TO BE BIG TOO" and it ruined the experience of seeing a movie even if the movie was mid to begin with. Also there weren't any 3D trailers or even a "time to put 3D glasses on screen" as standard for any 3D film i've ever seen it just straight went to the film read more

We were in town visiting a friend and decided to go see Annabelle last night. We purchased our 5 tickets online and chose our seats, which is the only way I like to watch movies now. We arrived early purchased a couple combos of popcorn and entered theater #5. From our seat I could not see the whole screen, I felt like I a 5'4 38yr old needed a booster seat to see the movie even before reclining. Not sure what that was about but not a big deal. Our next issue was it seemed to be getting hotter in the theater, everyone around was also questioning ad some requested air to be turned on. After probably the 5th person went to request air to be turned down we were told the air was broke. That one of the units went out. Instead of moving us they continued the movie and told us they were working on it. Our next issue was during the "scary silent" parts of the movie we could loudly hear another movie playing. We were given our money back after complaining. us and a couple others not the whole theater. read more

I've been coming to this theater for many years. I'm SO DISAPPOINTED in the condition of the facility. The ladies bathroom was disgusting! Toilet paper all over the floor. Urine on the seats and waste all over the floor. Moreover, the theater was dirty as well. It was so bad I thought the the theater had not been cleaned yet from the previous showing. Not the case. The floor was sticky. Salt on the tabletops and sticky drink residue in the cup holders. My family and I had to clean our seats and tables before sitting. I'm not sure if this is a management issue, quality associates issue or what but it's absolutely unacceptable. I will think twice before returning to this theater or recommending to my friends or family. Not a happy customer at all. read more

Wow, disgusting! I just tried to see "Jurassic World - Dominion" at the Palladium. I've had my ticket for a week already. The theater is filthy! First they sold me a broken seat - not showing broken on the screen. Then the next 2 seats they sold me had slushy and popcorn all over them. The last seat they sold me had a broken recliner - this is the main reason you go to this theater. Needless to say I spoke with the manager, got my money back and, in the meantime, watched the concession workers slosh slurpies and popcorn all over the place. WHAT A PIG STY! Considering this is the first movie of the day that means the theater wasn't cleaned when they closed last night. Totally disgusting! It just shows how standards have fallen. I've been here a bit throughout my life but have never experienced the recliner seats that had been recently added. I was unaware about the assigned seats, however it makes more sense now that the seats are reclined. I love the seats and it made the movie more enjoyable and relaxing. Went to see Spiderman No Way Home today at 3:20pm. They were out of popcorn, hot dogs, icees and Pepsi. What movie theater is out of popcorn when the most anticipated movie of the year is released? The last time we were there a month ago Cinema 2 had no heat and the lights were never turned off. Today in Cinema 2 I had to report to employees that the heat was not on and the lights needed to be turned off. I mean I like it cool but 50 degrees? We paid too much for this type of experience. I used to love going to this theater... now not so much. 1. You used to be able to use your college ID to get the student discount after the maintee prices any day of the week, now only Monday - Thursday. 2. I have signed up for the Regal Rewards to earn points any time I spend money there (which is neat... I do get a coupon for free drinks, popcorn, and movie tickets just about every time I buy a ticket) but with the free movie ticket, it seems like there are less and less movies I am able to use them for. 3. This place is always clean and the staff is ok. 4. I'm not that big into 3-D, but Palladium only has one theater where they can play 3-D movies. So if there are 2 movies out playing in 3-D, one movie will not be offered there in 3-D just 2-D. 5. The location is excellent. read more

I have to say, as far as theaters goes, this is one of the best I've seen yet. I love the atmosphere that the fountain and the plaza provides. The place seems to always be clean and the service is always spot on. They have the nice large comfy seats that provide plenty of wiggle room. Also, they have the temperature set fairly low. Which is great because having so many people together like that can make the place hot and stuffy. I take a jacket just in case but I love the fact that it's breathable in there. Of course the prices are a bit high. Movie prices in general are sky high but just like with anything else if you want the best you have to be willing to pay a tad more. Trash ass place to go shit service poor maintenance

If there is something worth watching I usually frequent this theater. It takes something that I am really interested in before I will go to the movies and sit through an 1.5 viewing. I just cant sit still that long. They keep the temperature down, which I love as I am warm blooded but if you are easily chilled you may want to bring a jacket. This place may be the cleanest place in the triad for a movie. Large seats, great selection for snacks and wonderful popcorn! A nice sound system too. I went here to see "This Is It" the Michael Jackson movie, and it was bumping!! Made his music shine as if he were there in front of you playing live. Never had a problem at this theater before. Unlike Brassfield which I will NEVER return to. Many things around the theater so when you are finished with the movie you can shop or just go for a drink or after movie treat. The quick & dirty version of this review: Unimpressive, but perfectly fine. I was talked into coming to High Point (far, far away from my happy little bubble in downtown Greensboro) to see "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse," with some friends that live down there. When I mentioned very casually that I had actually never been to the Palladium, there were gasps all around. Apparently I had been missing out. We were early for our 8:00 show. I'll admit to that. But none of us was happy at all about the ticket-taker in front of the concession stand who told us we couldn't come in yet. Not even to the concessions or the restrooms. We stood around for a good 10 minutes. Not good. Once we were allowed in, everything was very accessible and clean. I didn't have high expectations for buying food at the counter after what we'd been met with at the door, but they were perfectly nice. One thing I like about other big theaters is the variety of popcorn flavors you can add yourself at a separate little stand (The Carousel Grande, Battleground Ave, G'boro and the new theater at Four Seasons Mall in G'boro are two examples). At the Palladium, you can add your own butter and your own plain salt, but that's it. Overall, I don't think I'll make the trip to High Point for a movie again. I've been here 3 times now and I have really enjoyed this theater. Seating can be kind of limited, especially for popular movies, but the seats are super comfy and it's easy to relax. The seats recliner and have a foot rest that comes out, each seat also has a little tray to hold your popcorn/snacks. My experiences with the staff have all been positive and the place is very well kept and clean. The bathrooms have lots of stalls and I've never had to wait. My only complaints are that it is pricy, but it's understandable since you're paying for a more upscale environment and sometimes parking is limited in busier hours. This theater is my one and only choice when it comes to seeing movies! I'm a huge film buff and when it comes to going to the movies I want every aspect of my experience to be enjoyable. This theater has 14 auditoriums, the most out of any in the area. The picture and sound quality are fantastic, and even better if you shell out the extra cash for IMAX. The sound is so crisp you feel like the movie is going on around you. The seats are comfortable and set up stadium style so you can see over anyone who sits in front of you. My only complaint about this theater is the prices, which aren't too bad if you're just purchasing tickets...but if you want food that's a whole different story. Tickets are around $5-8 during the afternoon and at night are around $10. Although there is a huge selection when it comes to snacks, (pizza, ice cream, hot dogs, you name it they have it!) the prices are completely outrageous. It's $11 for a small popcorn and small drink. But if you have the FREE regal rewards card you can earn free drinks, popcorn, and even movie tickets. And if you go to a lot of pre-night premiers for big movies (like for instance I went to see Iron Man 3 the night before premier day,) they usually have two theaters set up so you don't have to worry about crowded or sold out seats. They also have great specials like marathons for $25 sometimes, and $1 G-rated movies at 10am. Overall if you're looking for a fantastic, well staffed, and clean movie theater, this is the place for you. Just don't go in expecting a cheap snack! read more

This used to be our go-to theater when we lived on this side of town. This was our family's first time back to Palladium since we moved across town. We were excited because we were able to get reserved recliner seats for Black Panther. What a disappointment!! In the auditorium that we were in, they built a short (2-3' high) wall in between each row of seats (right behind each row). Well.....major design flaw. When you sit in your seat, if you're not tall enough, the bottom part of the screen is blocked. I'm 5'7" and if I reclined my fancy recliner AT ALL, I couldn't see the bottom 10-20% of the screen. Isn't being able to see the full screen part of the whole movie-going experience? I'm not sure the purpose of the walls in the first place, but the unintended consequences of blocking the screen will mean that we will not return. read more

I have been going to the Palladium for several years now. it's a little further for me than some of the other Greensboro movie theaters but definitely worth it. I noticed that someone else was upset because they had to wait to go in to the theater. The ONLY time this happens is with the big blockbuster movies that have just come out., i.e. Twilight Saga, Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean, etc. I appreciate that they use all their screens for opening nights of the above mentioned movies so that you don't have to get to the theater so early for a great seat. The concessions are expensive, but so is every other theater in this area. The staff is always polite and happy to see moviegoers. I would recommend this theater over all others in this area,hands down. The only thing that would make this even better is if it became an IMAX theater too. Why doesn't the Triad have an IMAX? Charlotte has at least 4 and the triangle now has 3.. Come on Greensboro. read more
