It was so cool. It was cool (cold) when we were waiting. The stairs to go to the room were a little weird but it made it even more cool. The clues were amazing! We were so close and every time we asked for a clue, it was something we figured out but just didn't know how to do to get the next part we needed. I do like that they don't actually lock you in the room. If you need to leave for any reason, you actually can. We got as many clues as needed, and finished with 3 minutes to spare! When you walk in, there is no direction on where to go. There is just a bunch of random rooms and a staircase. We walked around and almost left before a young girl asked us if we were there too do an escape room. She took us upstairs and there were multiple rooms. The room we did was the Sherlock Holmes themed one and one of the locks was busted so we spent about 20 minutes wasting our time on it. Two different girls had to come in and try to fix it, but they were not able to. It really messed us up because it was literally the first thing needed to start us off. They did give us like 10 minutes of extra time, but at that point we were already so confused that it didn't help. It was also 60 bucks for the two of us so I feel like it is very overpriced for junkie rooms and poor atmosphere:(

I've completed two adventures so far with colleagues - one at NC Museum of Art and one at NC Museum of Life and Science. It is perfect for large groups, as you have an icebreaker in the beginning, and then they randomly assign you to groups. It took about a half day (9am to 12:30pm) -- so it ended just in time for lunch. Make sure you wear comfortable walking shoes! Your team will be racing against the clock solving numerous puzzles to get clues that are embedded in exhibits within the museum. You'll also get a prop box that contains items to help solve puzzles. You're given a deadline to solve your case and turn in your documents. Winners are determined by the amount of points from various correct puzzles and by time. It all started when I went to an event, Cocktails & Cosmonauts, at the Museum of Life and Science…read more They had a station where you could screen print your own poster with the event's logo, so I hightailed it over there. When it was my turn, the screen printing pro and I chatted about team building events. I grabbed a card and reached out the very next day. After explaining what I had in mind (a workshop for my running group so that we could print some t-shirts), I was handed over to Lenny at Hey Monkey! Lenny was so easy to work with. He understood that organizing these things is akin to herding cats, so he set everything up to be as smooth and painless as possible. And then there was the actual event. It was so much fun! Woo-woo warning: I don't know exactly what was going on, but my group brought some really negative energy into Lenny's studio. Fortunately, Lenny just carried on, kept his upbeat attitude, and (most) everyone had an amazing time! It's been less than a week and I'm pretty sure everyone has worn their shirts at least once. I'm hoping to do it again for the folks I work with!

My friend and I have left 2 voicemails, one message to return a phone call written by our teacher one evening, a facebook message, and a request for a phone call on their website contact form. That is five tries and zero response. It disappoints me greatly and makes me not want to return.
