I came here the other day for a pedicure and shellac manicure. When the girl was grating off the calused part of my foot, she took a chunk of my skin off. I started bleeding and it wouldn't stop. Now, i know it was an honest mistake and she was sorry about it, my problem was how they handled it. She spoke her language with some other technician (no idea if that was the manager) and put a bandaid on it. The manager didn't come to me, nor did anything, no one seemed to care she had accidentally done this. Just a 'oh so sorry' and continued along after putting a band aid on. Afterwards I got a shellac manicure, but the manicure is soooo bumpy, so many bubbles and not evenly done (like it wasn't painted evenly) It kind of sucks because I've heard so many good things about this place, but I also heard that lately they've been over booking and their quality isn't near what they used to be. Clearly after my experience I agree. When I went to pay they charged me full price everything, no discount or anything after they injured me (getting cut on the ball of your foot is annoying to have to walk on afterwards since I couldn't put any pressure if i didn't want it stinging) The only reason i didn't make a fuss was because i was there for all ready 2 hours and was running late for a dance practice (which now i had to sit out from....) Not impressed. Not going back.

The pedicure wasn't as relaxing as I had hoped - no foot or calf massage She just squirted some liquid scrub on my calves and feet and dunked my feet into the water, it was actually a little painful when she used the scouring filer on the top of my feet instead of the bottom of the feet so it felt like my skin was burning but thankfully she figured it out after doing it four times. The nail polish was applied nicely though, I mean after all it is a nail place so I would expect that as a minimum skill set. Oh but she did cut my thumb so it bled -- acetone on a cut is SO RELAXING

They did an amazing job, but after pushing back my cuticles and filing them, my cuticles were still there so I asked them to cut them off. This extra step counted as a manicure so it was an extra $12 charge? Which, okay fine.. but it just added to the cost of everything. For a gel refill (+2 nail fixes since they popped off from my first appt), plus design, plus covid PPE costs, & tip, it came up to almost $150! I don't understand how people can keep getting their nails done with these prices. I was okay paying for it since I needed PERFECT nails for my wedding - and I am BEYOND happy with the outcome, but the price is keeping me from going back unless for a special occasion. (The first time I went for a full set of gel nails & 1 colour with sparkle on top came up to $90 with tip).. so almost double the price if I went to a basic nail salon. You do get what you pay for, but again, not sure how people can keep up with these prices. I would still definitely recommend going to Allure Nail Bar. All the staff are friendly, clean up after each client, and know how to execute your nail look 100%.

I have been happy with my past two visits. I'm on my third week of having gel polish and it hasn't even chipped! Some things to note - make sure to cancel your appointment at least 24 hours in advance. In April there was a ice storm and I asked to reschedule due to the poor road conditions. However, they said there would be a charge the next time I came back. I ended up going because I didn't want to be charged. I know it's a business but there should be some leniency when the weather is really bad. If you get a manicure they don't charge for polish removal. If you write a review you'll get 15% off (I think...or it's 10% off). Looking forward to my next visit this week!

Honestly I don know how she's still in business. I'm a business owner & went to this salon for extensions & colour 2 weeks ago. I bought my extensions & took my own colour. My extensions fell out 4 days later (I paid $300 for my extensions). Reported to her in 14 days that I'd lost 10 extensions & she charged me for 'her' time having to put them back in. Seriously lacking customer service skills & has absolutely no understanding of treating clients properly. Sadly, as a business owner I'm a really busy person & my time is valuable, & I'm shocked she actually asked for payment. Wow. Worst ever experience. Do your research please, she has some really bad reviews all relating to overcharging, poor skills and bad attitude.

I have been a regular client for about 8 months now and won't go anywhere else in Georgetown to get my nails done. They are reasonably priced, very clean and have a ton of colours to choose from. On top of that, all of the ladies are friendly and it is very easy to carry on a conversation with them. The pedicure is one of the best I have had - they have hot stones (included in the price!) and everything is extremely clean.
