I love Largo Movie Theater but I wish they would upgrade a couple of the theaters to 4DX so we didn't have to drive so far when we wanted that type of experience... other than that, everything else is great read more

$9 for a small Diet Coke! You should be ashamed - that's sickening! How can people afford that?

We recently rediscovered the Regal Cinema at Largo Mall. The updated electric recliners are comfortable and awesome. As you may already know, today's movie tickets are sold online. So, when you enter the theater you just show the usher your movie's QR code on your phone for entrance. The Regal Largo's theater was quite clean as well as the bathrooms (I can only speak about the men's room). The refreshment bar was fully stocked with all of your food requirements for a movie. Bring lots of $$$$. As a head's up, be sure and sign up for their app on your phone or PC. You'll find a lot of deals as well as upcoming movies and attractions. read more

Three of us went, bought our tickets, walked in the theater and turned back around and got a refund. Every seat was peeling and in very poor condition. We will never go back. Make some improvements or close your doors. This is unacceptable! We didn't think to take a picture when we were there to show how bad it was. Oh, and the popcorn was horrible! read more

This movie theater is much different that the more modernized theaters. They do have reclining chairs which are a little worn but very comfortable. It's your classic theater to say the least. I live close so come to this one most often. read more

Smells of mold, seats are old and ruined, tickets and snacks are over priced. The sound and visuals are not the best quality.

Terrible customer service Worker at 3:30 would not sell me a beer; I am 62 years old; she said I am required to put in the birthdate so I gave her my birthdate and she said I can't . Then showed her a pic of my license that I had on my phone; she still said no. There were 4 people in theatre; I know why! Seats worn! But treated terribly after the no sale. read more

Nice theater, I loved the electric recliners, very comfortable . I didn't care for the "assigned seating" I just felt that was odd, luckily there weren't many people there so I chose where we normally sit in a theater. We got to the movie at 1:30, the movie I wanted to see started at 1:40...we get our seats and we're sitting there and sitting there and sitting there, I look at my phone and it's 1:48, and I realize she put us in the 2:10 showing - which was fine - but it would have been nice to know, maybe the other one was sold out idk, but weird that she didn't choose the one that started in 10 minutes or ask me which time I wanted. No prices listed on the menu - and I know why, VERY HIGH FOOD PRICES!! I bought 4 movie tickets, and a combo meal which consisted of 2 medium drinks, one medium popcorn and two candies....and it was $94!!! read more

So...I attended a movie yesterday Unfortunately I was late to get into the theater and missed the beginning of the movie because I was 'waiting' for an email from Regal so I could use 6000 of my 18,000 points for a free popcorn... I was told by the manager I'm sorry ma'am, you'll have to wait for the email...or check your spam Well...nothing! And the managers reply Nothing I can do about it! And that was that How do I have 18,000 points and can't use them? Holy High School Flashback! It's rare that I go to the movies when I'm in town, but my son really wanted to see Venom. I looked for the nearest theatre, and was shocked to discover this theatre is still standing. I haven't been to this theatre since High School, and the entrance is still exactly the same. Much of the inside is, as well. Yet it's been well maintained and upgraded in areas. The first thing that we discovered, when we arrived, was that there is assigned seating. This is a HUGE turn off for us and a big reason for my 3 star rating. The only way that I would return to this theatre would be if I have time to get my tickets online ahead of time, without paying any additional fees, and able to get my preference in seats. We often don't have the luxury of planning to far ahead, caring for elderly grandparents. We ended up in the middle of the second row. Not the best place to be sitting during a high action film when you live with heightened sensitivities. The seats were comfy. Popcorn sucked, boo. Bathrooms appeared clean. Oh, there's also police present. We couldn't decide if that was comforting or made us uneasy. It's not something we see in the area that we maintain residence, so it was just a little off putting. We interacted with an officer after the movie, when we realized my son had lost his phone in the theatre. He was extremely nice and helpful in finding and retrieving his phone from between the seats. Overall, it was the great movie that made our experience. But the assigned seating and bad popcorn will ultimately drive us to try out a different theatre next time. read more

So heads up, this review is about the staff. I'm seriously considerIng sending an email to corporate about how much I love every person employed at this movie theater and I swear to you all I have no affiliation nor even know the names of any of these folKs. This is my local movie theater. It's probably the closest in proximity to my home and because it's surrounded by shops and inexpensive dining, it's just the perfect strip mall to spend the day or evening. Reason I'm giving that backstory is because every one of my experiences I've had dealing with anyone working here it's been so positive. Most of the staff is young, but so polite and helpful and even personable. They deal with my annoying "I think I have enough points for a free beverage!" Or "Can I get a cup of water for my friend who won't buy something?" Lol. Yesterday in particular, I dropped my $7 popcorn and lost half of it on the floor in the theater. I normally would never think to ask for forgiveness but it was that silly unhealthy CHEETOS mix meaning it's super tiny and pricy. I was hoping she would give me just half a bag, the manger (at least she looked like a manager?) hands me an entire replacement! She also asked if I needed someone to clean it up. I was mortified thinking the movie was about to start and everyone would be hating on me for creating such a scene - but her even offering that was so nice. Then leaving the theater, an employee overheard us talking about the movie and shared his insight. Call me crazy, yeah I am, but I just think the staff here is so awesome. We had to leave the showing of dr strange due to the screen being purple. Even know they knew the projector lens was broken they continued to sell out that threaten room and we couldn't get past previews without super disappointment in everything being purple. So we left and got tickets to come back the next day in a different theatre. Today the next day we are back and they gave us two seats that are completely broken. Two times in a row broken things ruining the viewing experience. Seat wouldn't recline this time for our whole party Last time screen was purple. Don't come here. read more

I had an impromptu movie day in Clearwater the other day when I was in the area and had some time to kill. The closest theater was the Regal Largo Mall. I went to see a matinee and knew it would be a discounted price. When I got there, the guy helping me with tickets mentioned if I downloaded the app and join, I could get a $5 ticket, being a Tuesday. He was very helpful, informative, and patient for me while I was downloading the app and signing up. Very pleasant experience, saved a few bucks and the movie Dumb Money was good. read more

I've had this review in my queue for several years. As many have said before me, it's very enjoyable to watch a movie here, due to the reclining seats. I do like picking my seats and paying through the app, so I just breeze right through the lines. Like any movie theater they rip you off on concessions. But I did join the Regal club so I get points for movies and anything I buy at the concession stand. So all is not lost. read more

Love this place. We've been here a few times. The recliner leather seats are very comfortable. The assigned seating is also a nice touch. Manager was doing a 'security check' of all purses and large bags people carried in. That's cute. Let's call it what it is; a 'bring your own drinks and candy' check. LOL I can't really blame them though as this is how movie theaters make their money. Believe it or not, they make very little off ticket sales. Concession stands is what keeps them in business, which is why a bottle of water cost $5. They also offer wine, which is nice. Not a huge selection or good/expensive wines, but good enough for a movie theatre. The place is always very clean and staff friendly. The sound of movie is always perfect. Not too loud or too soft. Since we are moving to Brandon next month, won't be back as much and will miss this place. Hopefully there's a recliner seat movie theatre in Brandon. read more

This is the section 8 of regal cinemas. These theaters are a joke. They look like they have not been upgraded in over 20 years. The seats are destroyed, the screens are too small, the theaters are disgustingly dirty. The staff has no idea what the hell they are doing. If you can avoid these theaters at all cost do yourself a favor. read more

Not an easy theater to find, it's tucked into a shopping plaza near the back. The seats are leather (or faux leather) and recline until you're horizontal if that's your preference. The theater has an older feel to it, like it needs an update. Bathrooms are clean but old. My complaint - over $5 for bottled water, Dasani I think. What a rip-off! And a bag of popcorn, the small, over $6. Ladies, bring a big purse and fill it at the corner store before going. read more

Service: I saw where others had issues with service, the service was good for the most part. The woman selling tickets was friendly and even wanted to discuss which reserved seats were best. I had dinner prior to going so I didn't order any food. In any case, staff seemed nice and professional. Theater: They have reclining seats which were comfortable. The electronic reclining seemed to work at least in the seat I was in. There is plenty of space for you to recline and for someone to walk past you if they need to leave. Most theaters are pretty dirty but this one was pretty clean (floors weren't sticky from soda spills). Overall, I enjoyed being here. Like most theaters, you should either wear pants or bring a sweatshirt as it can get pretty cold inside. Movie Experience: Saw Venom in 3D. The 3D was okay, not bad. Didn't feel like anything was coming at you but there was a good deal of depth perception to notice. The theater is not responsible for the movie but I just wanted to say that it wasn't as bad as critics pointed out. I was familiar with the character but not as familiar with the comic book stories. Maybe it could have been darker but it was still entertaining to see on a big screen. Overall: Staff was good, theater was clean and seats were comfortable. Will most likely use this as my main movie spot. read more

I spent $20 for a Star Wars bucket of popcorn to find out they will not refill it with popcorn for any other movie.!!! Are you serious! The cheaper buckets is allowed but not his one. Restrooms and theaters were clean. Sound and picture were great. Personnel were cordial and attentive.

Ordered a large popcorn which was just about $10. Pretty expensive for popcorn but it is what it is. While ordering I ask for butter and ask if it can be layered. The cashier says "yes they will layer it" as I'm watching his coworker pile the popcorn to the top and then put butter on the top. When I ask if the butter was layered she replied "yes I shook it." This is my first and last movie at this theater. Seats are old, worn and disgusting. Screen is tiny. Wine is in a can tiny, expensive and they will not give you a cup. Horrible experience. I had another favorite movie theater, but have now changed my mind. This place has had a total overhaul since my last visit. Very nice... It has spacious, real recliner seating. I mean push the button, chair tilts back, leg-rest extends out, REAL RECLINER SEATING?? Really? Plus, you get to choose your seating in advance, from a screen at the ticket window! Expect the normal movie theater hassles: inflated concession prices and very crowded during peak hours. Until other movie joints upgrade to the recliner seating here, I doubt I will go anywhere else! You know, this may be one of the oldest theaters in Pinellas County but I feel like they've done some amazing things to keep up with competition. Their prices are probably the cheapest - not by a whole bunch, but still...savings is savings. Their recliner seats are delightful. They are the widest and most comfy I've seen. I did notice at my last visit that there was a broken chair or two covered with a plastic bag or something to that effect. While this may aggravate some patrons and seem tacky, I applaud them for not allowing someone to buy that seat and end up disappointed. There's one theater that had a dead spot in the screen. It was small but just big enough to annoy me slightly during the movie. Even with all of the above factored in, the level of comfort is one of the best and I prefer this theater over many other (newer) choices in the area. read more

This Regal Cinema blew me away! Older and somewhat outdated in the lobby, this cinema provided my squad and I one of the best movie watching experiences. Unbeknownst to us prior to arriving, the seats in the cinema are (p)leather and recline! If I wasn't so into the movie, I probably could've turned narcoleptic and taken a nap (as has happened to me before during several movies). The attendant at the ticket booth was friendly and efficient. Who knew that you could select your seats for a movie, I didn't figure that was an option at any cinemas beyond the classy (hoity-toity) ones. The movie we chose had a pretty packed theatre however because of the computer display we were able to see and select where exactly we could sit which was awesome. The parking is easy and plentiful but be prepared to walk a bit during busy shopping times and the weekend, as the cinema is located in the Largo Mall. There are stairs that you have to ascend to get to the ticket booth and enter the cinema. The staff at the concession stands were friendly and very helpful and made sure we knew which theatre our movie was in. They also furnished us with ice waters. I was impressed that the cinema offered craft beer, and good ones at that. Everything here was great and I look forward to going back next time I find myself in the area. read more

2 stars for.... ? I wouldn't have written the review, but the manager's nonchalant response to my concern was inspiring I suppose. The bathrooms were pretty gross. Stuff all over the floor.. I'd rather not go into details. So I thought I'd let the manager know so they could take care of it. I expected a "sorry" or "sure, we'll take care of that". Instead it was, 'Well, there were probably a lot of people that got out of their movie at the same time.' If that was a rare occurrence, then fine. But, it's a movie theater. There are only so many jobs that need to be done. Cleanliness should be up there. If you don't care about customer service or being on top of cleaning the bathrooms, how clean is everything else? Won't be going back to this one. Also doors were left open so we heard people in the hallway throughout the movie. read more

This is almost as close to perfect as a standard moviegoing experience can get! This theater, although old, has things that set it apart from others that just make the experience easy. Tucked away in a corner of Largo Mall, the dingy looking box office isn't a great first impression. But the line moves quickly, and the employee working in the box office was extremely friendly and took my MoviePass with no qualms, and even showed the code to get rewards points. AMC doesn't like me using my MoviePass to get rewards points... The concessions stand has your average movie snacks plus beer, wine, and a few other options like loaded nachos, tacos, and wraps. I've only had popcorn (addictive as usual) and the loaded nachos with chicken (tasty and "only" $9). Again the employees were friendly, and I think they have more options than AMC and better prices than Studio Movie Grill. Although the theaters do not have stadium seating, you won't have anyone blocking your view because of the awesome recliners. They are power controlled and insanely comfortable, unlike SMG. Also the only theater I've been to in the area that properly masks their screens... Bathrooms are clean and functional (unlike AMC Westshore) and close to all of the theaters (unlike AMC Sundial). The whole theater is clean and appears to have new carpet, wall coverings, etc. Its an old theater but they've really tried to make it nice. Almost every theater in the area has something I don't like about it except for this one (haven't made it to Cobb Tyrone but I'll be sure to leave a review when I do). The only complaint would be that they only have 8 screens unlike the 20 of Sundial, but most movies show here for a reasonable amount of time. I used to diss this theater when the old seats had unidentified stains and the bathrooms were worse than rest areas, but now this theater provides and extremely reliable, clean, and friendly experience. read more

Pre COVID I use to come here a lot. They are less than a mile from my house. Once the theater opened back up and wow, this place is horrible now. The sound quality is terrible for action movies and they switched from Coke products to Pepsi. My biggest disappointment was the sound quality. I now drive past this place and drive 18 miles to AMC Woodlands to get a better experience and food. read more
