The TV was supposed to be new, but see all the rips, we used our computer since the TV quality was great.

We booked this hotel though hotel tonight for $73 dollars. The place is in an area where you would going you had a delayed flight or is a truck driver settling in for a night or two. Not a place where you would want stay for more then 2 night if you had to. The front desk was nice and polite. Even called the room to see how were doing. Room : walk in there is the large bed. Small bathroom and desk with TV , the wifi is on your key card paper. I was iffy because it just look iffy. Appearance: I know I was judging on appearance when hotel tonight made it look like one of those nice one it didn't show how the outside look so it was very shocked on the way it look on the outside. We both looked in doubt on how it look. We didn't look at Google maps since it was a need for a room/ cheap. Area : the area was not as bad, there is alot of Mexican food around other food places to wat for just a quick and go. We are Hooters.. not much attention there. Took long to get our food and to even leave. But hey ! What can you do.

SHUTTLE INFO: If you're flying in, the free 24/7 airport…read moreshuttle is technically every 30 minutes. You can track it at TrackMyShuttle.com with code 2930, which is a lifesaver once you realize "every 30 minutes" can sometimes mean "whenever it feels like it" but it's nice being able to see where the shuttle is in real time on the map and I found it accurate. ** If you're at Terminal 2, head to baggage claim and out Door 2C. ** At Terminals 1 or 3, take the escalators down to terminal 2, door 2C ** And if you're at Terminal 5, brace yourself. You'll need the tram to Terminal 2 then walk outside to 2C. Walking is technically possible, but unless you've trained for a marathon, just...don't. ------------------------------------ When I landed (Friday, 10:30 PM), I waited forever for the shuttle. Eventually realized I could've just hopped on the Westin shuttle and walked over, about an 8 min walk. This is easily doable if you don't have a lot of luggage. Learn from my pain. Hampton Inn is only 10 minutes from O'Hare airport. Once I finally got there, though? Not bad at all. My King Suite was spotless, fridge, microwave, clean bathroom, comfy bed. Better than I expected. For $148 a night, it's a solid deal, especially for work travel. The complimentary breakfast (6- 10am) was actually good, real food, not the "toast and hope" situation you sometimes get at free continental breakfasts. All in all: once you survive the shuttle saga, the stay itself is clean, comfortable, and surprisingly pleasant. It's right next to the Orthopaedic Learning Center, so it's very convenient (1 min walk) if you need to attend any events there. Trust me, after a full days surgical course it's so nice to just easily walk back to your hotel hassle-free. Taco Bell and Small Cheval walking distance right across the street too!

Dining: We dined at Thorn Restaurant & Lounge, located in the hotel lobby, and everything was exceptional. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was impeccable, and the cocktail menu did not disappoint. I highly recommend the Not So Old Fashioned -- definitely order it smoked! During our business meeting, we ordered breakfast, and I was blown away by the portion sizes. That breakfast burrito with the oven-roasted potatoes could honestly keep you full all day! Accommodations: The rooms are stunning. The décor throughout the property is modern, stylish, and thoughtfully designed. My bed was incredibly comfortable, and the large shower provided the perfect way to unwind after a long day. I also appreciated the charming old-school Frigidaire in the room -- such a fun touch! Service: From the front desk staff to the restaurant team, everyone was warm, friendly, and accommodating. The hotel even checked in with me via text throughout my stay, and when I requested extra pillows, they arrived promptly. This was my first time staying at this property, but it definitely won't be my last. I'm already looking forward to my next visit! #YelpEliteSquad

It's not super obvious but you go up the escalators/stairs to check in on the second floor. Check in went fairly quickly and there's water in the check in area. Assigned a room on the 10th floor and glass elevators moved quickly. Hotel rooms all face inside; similar to a Embassy Suites. The room was clean and spacious but the toilet has a foot flush pedal which was a little weird. Hotel is also undergoing some renovations so perhaps it will be different in the upcoming year. This was a nice conference venue but not too much else. It's pretty far from downtown (1+ hour in traffic, 25 min without). There isn't a ton of casual seating space like I've seen in other Hyatts but there is some general spaces and coffee shop market with tables. Didn't spend much time in the bar area but it's pretty central and seemed like it was pretty active there every night.

I stayed at this hotel for five nights while attending school, and unfortunately, my experience was…read moredisappointing. During my stay, the building experienced a water outage that lasted an entire day. This meant there was no running water in my room, making it impossible to shower, use the restroom normally, or prepare for class. At the time, I was also dealing with personal health needs that made the lack of running water especially difficult from a basic hygiene standpoint. Not having access to water during that situation was extremely stressful and uncomfortable, particularly while trying to stay focused on my academic responsibilities. I had to reach out to management to address the issue and request a room change. While they did move me to another room, the situation was not handled proactively, and no assistance with moving my belongings was offered until I asked. In a hospitality setting, I expected more support during a disruption like this. After my stay, Candace from the hotel reached out and added 8,000 World of Hyatt points to my account, which I do appreciate. However, I replied to provide additional context on how significantly the outage impacted my stay and never received a response to my final email, sent on February 13, 2026. The lack of follow-up communication after that point was disappointing, and it adds to my experience with this company. I've had positive experiences with Hyatt properties in the past, which is why this stay stood out negatively. I hope the hotel improves both guest support during unexpected issues and communication afterward when guests raise concerns.

The lodging was more than adequate with complimentary hotel shuttle every half hour, 5 options to snack or eat at, an indoor pool, a covered outdoor overhang to stay dry while waiting for airport transport, clean spacious rooms and a TV greeting me by name. Overall we were pleased with this well run organization. Thankful, because a free hotel stay will trump a horrible night in the airport any day. This is a popular hotel for airport staff and guests. Plan ahead to make sure there is room for you on the shuttle. We didn't have enough space and some people were left waiting. I love the gluten free notations. The only microwave I could locate was in the shop, near the front desk, and staying on a high floor makes for a whole journey to reheat leftovers. Lobby is super wide open and welcoming with plenty of comfy places to sit. This is a bug and busy hotel being near Ohare and convention centers/theaters. There's always something going on, so it isn't very quiet with all the coming and going. Room service is done at all hours of the day and night, including 11pm and not quietly.
