Large crack in bathroom mirror
Andy C.

I've now stayed at this hotel on two different occasions. The first time I had a rough stay due to some HVAC issues (notably because the window unit blasts directly into the face of one of the beds in a double queen room). That said, there were good elements of the hotel (more on that soon) and I thought I'd give the location another try. I have to admit I'm really disappointed...again. First, let me start by saying this hotel has a good location. It's in Rosemont near a free shuttle to the Blue Line and other nearby destinations. It also has a youthful, fun feeling. But boy, this place is just not good at being an actual hotel. I reserved a king room and was first checked into a room that turned out to be a handicap accessible room with a roll-in shower. Not ideal, but fine. Then I noticed a very large crack in the bathroom mirror (see photo). I am not sure how this ended up being missed during cleaning, but there it was. Not wanting to be charged for this crack, I went back down to the front desk to let the hotel know the crack was there. Not a deal breaker, and I explained I would be fine staying in the room. The desk clerk asked me to get my bags, return to the lobby, and change rooms - honestly, a completely reasonable request. When I returned to the lobby, the desk clerk explained that the hotel was out of king rooms, and so I ended up in a room with two queen beds on the second floor. The only request that I made was to be away from the elevator. If you like feeling like you are sleeping directly next to a highway, my second room is for you. Traffic noise is loud and constant due to the freeway being both nearby and near O'Hare, and insulation is poor. Still, I figured I could surely sleep through the noise. I probably could have slept through the traffic noise, but then I heard what sounded like thumping bass from what I thought was the room next door. Since this was now 1:30am, I figured I might need to let the front desk know about the issue. I got dressed again and looked next door to see what room might be playing the thumping music. It turned out that the offender was...the lobby. Turns out that the hotel plays thumping bass music in the lobby at all hours of the night in the lobby and the second floor has an open staircase to the lobby to pipe that thumping bass music directly into hotel rooms. So much for being away from the elevator. Neat. It is now 2:00am on the first night of my two-night stay and I wish I could report things have improved, but I might still need to request a third room for the evening. Bottom line: if you're a Marriott loyalist, there are several other Marriott branded properties in close proximity that will deliver a much better experience. If you're simply hoping to stay in Rosemont or near O'Hare, there are multiple properties by other brands in the same general location as this hotel that deliver a far better experience (I've stayed at some of them).

2 queen bed room

Room is comfortable and cozy. I had a good night sleep. Front desk staff in general don't seem too enthusiastic or helpful, both at late night when I checked in and in the morning when I was ordering breakfast. The complimentary airport shuttle driver seemed to have the best attitude.

Great choice for our family reunion! My cousins who live in Chicago organized our family reunion and were able to have all families out of state (California, New York, Wisconsin, Arizona) get a great rate so that we are all able to stay in the same hotel (near the airport, thank God) and also reserve a spacious conference room to host our event. Upon entering, the hotel is beautifully decorated, as well as the other Aloft hotels my family and I have stayed in. The only thing that was disappointing was the pool. It was an indoor pool that was murky. Aside from it being murky, the smell of chlorine was extremely strong, but I understand that because it was confined and there was no airflow inside. The kids still enjoyed it, but I had to mention that here. The staff is amazing, especially the manager, I think his name was Adrian? He was super helpful, friendly and accommodating. The staff was very helpful with local restaurants etc. The lobby has plenty of space to hang out, there's a pool table, a bar called WXYZ that opens at 5pm and a snack area where you can also order some food. The courtyard area was spacious and located by the pool. Our family spent most of the time in the courtyard at night. The rooms were clean, comfortable, modern with simple décor full of bold colors. The hotel is in a nice location with lots of restaurants, bars, a movie theater and even a Fashion Outlet. I'd say that our 5 day vacation here was definitely fun and I am so glad that we had it the Aloft. This was memorable.

Typical of the Aloft brand through Marriott hotels, this hotel is clean, simple, and affordable. Not as trendy as Marriott's newer brand, Moxy, but has common spaces adorned with neon and velvet pillows. They have a bar that offers only the most basic of drinks, but the bartender was super nice and talkative and he showed me a new drink menu they would hopefully roll out soon. Looked pretty tasty. The staff are super nice too and give helpful info and recommendations upon checkin, including local restaurants. The rooms are similar to all aloft hotels I've ever been to. Fairly spacious king room. Soft, comfy bed. I've never been a fan of the frosted glass in the bathroom, where you can kinda see what's happening on the other side--but I've only ever stayed here alone, so it doesn't matter. But if you need privacy, give it a thought. My Bonvoy profile requests rooms on higher floors and away from elevators. My room this time was on the second floor and right at the main staircase and elevator. I could hear everything going on downstairs. I mentioned it to the staff, and they did offer to move me, but I was only gonna be staying 12 hours, so I declined their generous offer. Just know if you need quiet time, request to be away from the main stairwell and elevator. They have a pantry and breakfast items like sandwiches. This hotel is also in what's called the Rosemont Entertainment District. It's walkable to tons of restaurants, bars, pubs, shopping, and theaters/activities. I stayed here because I was flying out of O'hare. It's just a couple miles away and they have a shuttle that runs every half hour. Even the shuttle driver was very nice! Great option for business travel.

Hotel located close to the airport which is convenient especially for early morning or late night flights. A lot of restaurants nearby as well so food is never a problem. The hotel itself even has a mini restaurant in the morning Has a parking garage attached to it with unlimited in and out access for $22/day. Has a bar and a cozy lounge area which also doubles up as the hotel lobby. They are very flexible with early check ins and late check outs which is always good.

Shower, dual sinks

Typical Aloft room with a king bed overlooking a flatscreen tv, dual sinks, shower, nice decor that is modern and sleek. Xyzz bar downstairs opens at 5:00, comfortable Lobby including a pool table (was not working)?? Front desk is very hospitable and friendly. This location is close to ORD and we made shuttle reservations for a 5:30 am ride back to ORD, very convenient.

Dining: We dined at Thorn Restaurant & Lounge, located in the hotel lobby, and everything was exceptional. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was impeccable, and the cocktail menu did not disappoint. I highly recommend the Not So Old Fashioned -- definitely order it smoked! During our business meeting, we ordered breakfast, and I was blown away by the portion sizes. That breakfast burrito with the oven-roasted potatoes could honestly keep you full all day! Accommodations: The rooms are stunning. The décor throughout the property is modern, stylish, and thoughtfully designed. My bed was incredibly comfortable, and the large shower provided the perfect way to unwind after a long day. I also appreciated the charming old-school Frigidaire in the room -- such a fun touch! Service: From the front desk staff to the restaurant team, everyone was warm, friendly, and accommodating. The hotel even checked in with me via text throughout my stay, and when I requested extra pillows, they arrived promptly. This was my first time staying at this property, but it definitely won't be my last. I'm already looking forward to my next visit! #YelpEliteSquad

You can track it at TrackMyShuttle.com with code 2930, which is a lifesaver once you realize "every 30 minutes" can sometimes mean "whenever it feels like it" but it's nice being able to see where the shuttle is in real time on the map and I found it accurate. ** If you're at Terminal 2, head to baggage claim and out Door 2C. ** At Terminals 1 or 3, take the escalators down to terminal 2, door 2C ** And if you're at Terminal 5, brace yourself. You'll need the tram to Terminal 2 then walk outside to 2C. Walking is technically possible, but unless you've trained for a marathon, just...don't. ------------------------------------ When I landed (Friday, 10:30 PM), I waited forever for the shuttle. Eventually realized I could've just hopped on the Westin shuttle and walked over, about an 8 min walk. This is easily doable if you don't have a lot of luggage. Learn from my pain. Hampton Inn is only 10 minutes from O'Hare airport. Once I finally got there, though? Not bad at all. My King Suite was spotless, fridge, microwave, clean bathroom, comfy bed. Better than I expected. For $148 a night, it's a solid deal, especially for work travel. The complimentary breakfast (6- 10am) was actually good, real food, not the "toast and hope" situation you sometimes get at free continental breakfasts. All in all: once you survive the shuttle saga, the stay itself is clean, comfortable, and surprisingly pleasant. It's right next to the Orthopaedic Learning Center, so it's very convenient (1 min walk) if you need to attend any events there. Trust me, after a full days surgical course it's so nice to just easily walk back to your hotel hassle-free. Taco Bell and Small Cheval walking distance right across the street too!

Parking is an added cost, which is worth noting, though that's pretty standard for this area. One nice perk is the pool, which makes this a good option for families traveling with kids. The room itself was clean and functional, but the furniture felt noticeably outdated and could use a refresh. Visually, the space feels a bit behind the times even though everything worked as expected. The free airport shuttle was a major plus and ran on time, making airport access easy and stress-free. Staff interactions were smooth and efficient without any issues. Overall, this hotel leans more practical than modern or stylish. It's a good fit for short stays or airport layovers. If you're looking for something newer or more upscale, it may fall short, but for convenience and value, it gets the job done. Efficient: Yes First-Time Friendly: Yes Would I Return: Yes JY review

It's a large facility with extensive meeting space and plenty of rooms, making it suitable for business travel, but not necessarily a place I'd choose for a personal getaway. The staff has been accommodating, though interactions have felt more transactional than genuinely warm. Amenities are just okay overall, but the real letdown is the dining experience. First, there's no in-room dining--which feels like a major miss for a hotel of this size. The dinner restaurant had a long wait for a table, and adding to the frustration, there's a complete lack of food service from 2-4 PM. In 2025, that's hard to justify, especially for business travelers who may not have a flexible schedule. After working from my room since 6am with only coffee, I was left wondering why more convenient food options aren't available. Also worth mentioning--the beds are uncomfortably firm. Adding a pillow-top would go a long way in improving the sleep experience. There's potential here, but modern travelers expect more--especially when it comes to comfort and convenience.

This was a nice conference venue but not too much else. It's pretty far from downtown (1+ hour in traffic, 25 min without). After my stay, Candace from the hotel reached out and added 8,000 World of Hyatt points to my account, which I do appreciate. However, I replied to provide additional context on how significantly the outage impacted my stay and never received a response to my final email, sent on February 13, 2026. The lack of follow-up communication after that point was disappointing, and it adds to my experience with this company. I've had positive experiences with Hyatt properties in the past, which is why this stay stood out negatively. I hope the hotel improves both guest support during unexpected issues and communication afterward when guests raise concerns.
