Very strict don't come here with family or any group. Terrible Customer service .My child wanted to buy a drink and the attendant said I'm not accepting cash my drawer is closed, then she closed it. Not welcoming at all. Don't care about quiet hours unless it's male kids. There was a group of little girls running around all night who did not even confronted. The furniture in the halls is not unpacked. They are still covered in boxes and bubble wrap. But the legs are assembled so they can stand up. Also blame noise complaints on people sitting quietly in the lobby. They did not care about group check in , and the pool was unbelievably cold and shallow.There is also a window in the shower that is not completely opaque. Conveniently located by O'hare airport with shuttle service. Cozy room! Pretty clean, though the bathroom area could've been a little cleaner in my opinion. The sink area also looked a bit worn down, like they will need to do some maintenance soon to keep the area up to standard. The staff was nice. There's a nice spacious bar and lounge area. I really appreciated having a microwave available. There's also a shopping area to purchase snacks if needed. read more

I've now stayed at this hotel on two different occasions. The first time I had a rough stay due to some HVAC issues (notably because the window unit blasts directly into the face of one of the beds in a double queen room). That said, there were good elements of the hotel (more on that soon) and I thought I'd give the location another try. I have to admit I'm really disappointed...again. First, let me start by saying this hotel has a good location. It's in Rosemont near a free shuttle to the Blue Line and other nearby destinations. It also has a youthful, fun feeling. But boy, this place is just not good at being an actual hotel. I reserved a king room and was first checked into a room that turned out to be a handicap accessible room with a roll-in shower. Not ideal, but fine. Then I noticed a very large crack in the bathroom mirror (see photo). I am not sure how this ended up being missed during cleaning, but there it was. Not wanting to be charged for this crack, I went back down to the front desk to let the hotel know the crack was there. Not a deal breaker, and I explained I would be fine staying in the room. The desk clerk asked me to get my bags, return to the lobby, and change rooms - honestly, a completely reasonable request. When I returned to the lobby, the desk clerk explained that the hotel was out of king rooms, and so I ended up in a room with two queen beds on the second floor. The only request that I made was to be away from the elevator. If you like feeling like you are sleeping directly next to a highway, my second room is for you. Traffic noise is loud and constant due to the freeway being both nearby and near O'Hare, and insulation is poor. Still, I figured I could surely sleep through the noise. I probably could have slept through the traffic noise, but then I heard what sounded like thumping bass from what I thought was the room next door. Since this was now 1:30am, I figured I might need to let the front desk know about the issue. I got dressed again and looked next door to see what room might be playing the thumping music. It turned out that the offender was...the lobby. Turns out that the hotel plays thumping bass music in the lobby at all hours of the night in the lobby and the second floor has an open staircase to the lobby to pipe that thumping bass music directly into hotel rooms. So much for being away from the elevator. Neat. It is now 2:00am on the first night of my two-night stay and I wish I could report things have improved, but I might still need to request a third room for the evening. Bottom line: if you're a Marriott loyalist, there are several other Marriott branded properties in close proximity that will deliver a much better experience. If you're simply hoping to stay in Rosemont or near O'Hare, there are multiple properties by other brands in the same general location as this hotel that deliver a far better experience (I've stayed at some of them). read more

This hotel only offers housekeeping if you specifically request it. There's no signage anywhere to let you know that. If you aren't told about the policy when you check in, you'll be expecting housekeeping to show up but they never will. Although there was signage for an ice machine on the floor where my guest room was located, there was no ice machine. When you ask at the front desk where you can get ice, you'll be directed to bags in a freezer in the food area where you have to pay for breakfast items. Easy walk to outlet shopping mall across the street. Very confusing access for parking. read more

Questionable leadership decisions being made here by keeping a front desk clerk overnights on the weekends in play after mutiple complaints against them. Rooms are adequate but don't expect anything fancy. Sketchy behavior does occur at the property and security is present, however upon looking over the hotel it appears as if no security cameras on any of the floors and only in the lobby. The rest of staff seemed to be on point and try to hold themselves up to a friendly upbeat attitude, eventhough sometimes us guest can be angry or tired from travels. Hotel could use a face-lift, serveral lights are burn out and the sound proofing is weak. So if you like hearing people doing things that happen at a hotel be aware. Also notice hotel room keys left out in the open, makes one wonder was behavior is acceptable. For those that experience issue at the hotel, marriott has an email address for complaints and office of consumers affairs, oca@marriott.com it will help this hotel be subject to bigger eyes as part of the branding expectations. I booked a room last minute as my flight out of O'Hare was canceled. I've stayed at an Aloft one other time in a different city. I booked the room, then looked at the reviews. I saw some mixed reviews, so giving my perspective. A relative was dropping me off, and getting to the front door was a little weird. Went through a parking garage, did a U-T'urn, then saw a sign int he parking garage for the exit/road to the hotel. Knowing that some rooms may be noisy, I asked for a quiet room. I had room 118, a room with a king size bed. Even though it next to an elevator, I never heard it. Not sure how much it was used, but never heard it. I did not hear any highway noise either. My room was clean and roomy. Enough space to do a workout in the room (I didn't have workout clothes with me. Had I had workout clothes, I would have used the gym). The front staff was friendly and helpful. They referred a restaurant around the corner and talked about validation parking for my friend. A friend came to dinner with me - not sure where she parked, but it was $15. Because we had dinner, her parking was validated. I had breakfast in the morning, paying just over $6 for steel cut oatmeal. It was a good is portion of oatmeal and I felt the price was fair. Used the shuttle to get to the aiport. Worked out well. Took maybe 10 minutes to get to the airport I got a good nights rest. It was quiet. Price was a little higher than I usually pay, but being close to the airport and a good night sleep, it was worth it. read more

I arrived later than planned and was disappointed to find my room was opposite the elevators on our floor. Also I felt that I was nickel and dime'd with breakfast paying $24.50 for cereal, yogurt a banana and a bagel with a drink. This seemed to me to be outrageous for a cold breakfast. I was there for a single day meeting and the catering team providing that was excellent but to be honest I will not be recommending anyone stay with you. read more

Great choice for our family reunion! My cousins who live in Chicago organized our family reunion and were able to have all families out of state (California, New York, Wisconsin, Arizona) get a great rate so that we are all able to stay in the same hotel (near the airport, thank God) and also reserve a spacious conference room to host our event. Upon entering, the hotel is beautifully decorated, as well as the other Aloft hotels my family and I have stayed in. The only thing that was disappointing was the pool. It was an indoor pool that was murky. Aside from it being murky, the smell of chlorine was extremely strong, but I understand that because it was confined and there was no airflow inside. The kids still enjoyed it, but I had to mention that here. The staff is amazing, especially the manager, I think his name was Adrian? He was super helpful, friendly and accommodating. The staff was very helpful with local restaurants etc. The lobby has plenty of space to hang out, there's a pool table, a bar called WXYZ that opens at 5pm and a snack area where you can also order some food. The courtyard area was spacious and located by the pool. Our family spent most of the time in the courtyard at night. The rooms were clean, comfortable, modern with simple décor full of bold colors. The hotel is in a nice location with lots of restaurants, bars, a movie theater and even a Fashion Outlet. I'd say that our 5 day vacation here was definitely fun and I am so glad that we had it the Aloft. This was memorable. read more

Typical of the Aloft brand through Marriott hotels, this hotel is clean, simple, and affordable. Not as trendy as Marriott's newer brand, Moxy, but has common spaces adorned with neon and velvet pillows. They have a bar that offers only the most basic of drinks, but the bartender was super nice and talkative and he showed me a new drink menu they would hopefully roll out soon. Looked pretty tasty. The staff are super nice too and give helpful info and recommendations upon checkin, including local restaurants. The rooms are similar to all aloft hotels I've ever been to. Fairly spacious king room. Soft, comfy bed. I've never been a fan of the frosted glass in the bathroom, where you can kinda see what's happening on the other side--but I've only ever stayed here alone, so it doesn't matter. But if you need privacy, give it a thought. My Bonvoy profile requests rooms on higher floors and away from elevators. My room this time was on the second floor and right at the main staircase and elevator. I could hear everything going on downstairs. I mentioned it to the staff, and they did offer to move me, but I was only gonna be staying 12 hours, so I declined their generous offer. Just know if you need quiet time, request to be away from the main stairwell and elevator. They have a pantry and breakfast items like sandwiches. This hotel is also in what's called the Rosemont Entertainment District. It's walkable to tons of restaurants, bars, pubs, shopping, and theaters/activities. I stayed here because I was flying out of O'hare. It's just a couple miles away and they have a shuttle that runs every half hour. Even the shuttle driver was very nice! Stayed here for 3 nights and it kinda reminds me of a Moxie which is a part of the Marriott family. Had a room on the top floor facing the Outlet Mall entrance. Air con in my room even on low was blasting and had to use creativity to stem the flow which worked. Reaching for a towel coming out of the shower was inconvenient as it would have been nice if a hook was closer to the door opening instead of having to step out of the shower to get your towel on that hook adjacent to the toilet. During my 3 nights, the area surrounding the toilet had a strange faint smell of sewage but not enough of an issue to change rooms. No ice machines on any of the floors so one had to go to the lobby to get grab and go bags off ice. Ice in these bags were always stuck together which was a pain as you had to bang the ice to loosen them but many times the bag would break in the process. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. One of the two elevators were out during my stay but no issue with wait time getting the other elevator. Overall, I will rate my stay a 3.5-4 rating read more

Hotel located close to the airport which is convenient especially for early morning or late night flights. A lot of restaurants nearby as well so food is never a problem. The hotel itself even has a mini restaurant in the morning Has a parking garage attached to it with unlimited in and out access for $22/day. Aloft Chicago is a modern, fresh, clean, low amenity property near Chicago's Ohare airport. (Directly across from the fashion outlets of Chicago.) Lobby bar is comfortable and good for groups. Bartender who is friendly and they have a lot of good choices. My room was spacious and comfortable. Because of where it's located, there aren't really any "good "views just highways. Be careful because the mattresses slide around on the flat/slick bedframe. I tried working from the bed, but the mattress kept pushing out off the frame. A lot of dining and shopping options nearby . I'd like to give this 3.5 stars as a rating. The hotel is clean, staff was pleasant and welcoming. It is confusing where to park, let alone figuring out how to get to the entrance. It is no well marked at all, and the entry is a choke point of one way streets/drives. You have to park in the adjacent garage. Unless you reserve one of the numbered spaces in front of the hotel. I didn't know about that until check in. I don't mind being next to an airport. I get it. However this hotel is a bit loud. Noisy mechanicals that seem to reverberate. The accommodations were comfortable. The layout of shower is backwards, and isn't easy for a smaller person, like my wife, to adjust the water without getting into the shower. Who wants to do that? The Front Desk staff at this hotel is the absolute worst I have ever encountered at a Marriott property. "Marie" the manager (if she's indeed a manager) treated myself and my young children with such disrespect and contempt that I was left shocked and appalled. I won't over do it with details or with the line of events that brought us here because ultimately the largest conclusion I can draw from this encounter is rampant mediocrity from a staff that just doesn't give a F about their customers and feels it's appropriate to talk down to others (especially children) who are just trying to have a fair conversation with them about simple service expectations. Things like having enough towels and TP should not be treated like extravagant requests. Regardless, this is the last time I'll be staying here. There are so many options in this area, find a better stay. Marie- if you don't like your job, and customers with simple expectations are inconvenient, find another. read more

if i could rate it lower i would. I stayed one night at the Aloft Chicago hotel in Rosemont for my birthday. There was a woman at the counter, who seemed like she did not know what she was doing. She proceeded to charge my card, twice of a balance of $240 out of my account I told her "Hey, you charged me twice" she proceeded to tell me that there was nothing that she could do about it and then I had to wait three days 3 to 4 days for it to come back on my account. I was supposed to go out that same night she really inconvenienced me and they didn't so much as apologize. Also, our TV didn't even work!! So for a hotel that is so expensive I would at least expect the electronics to work. read more

This is a harsh review because I expect more from this brand. This was an unplanned stay after my flight was cancelled due to weather. First of all, the outlet situation is atrocious- no easily accessed outlet at the desk, and I had to crawl on the floor to plug in my laptop. Even then, the outlet did not work. Second, there was some sort of glitch that I could not figure out that caused a light near the ceiling to blink all night long. The light was not bright, but still unacceptable. Third, the bedding smelled like perfume and it was not pleasant. Fourth, the shower door did not seal and water leaked all over the floor - completely soaking the bath mat, and was a slipping hazard on the tile. The decor looked "nice" but would not be functional for more than 1 person or more than 1 night. Overall this room was very unpleasant even for a short stay. But here's my biggest beef. There was an active tornado warning specifically targeting our location and the front desk staff did not know where the safe place was. I asked. Everyone's phones were buzzing and alerting to severe weather and the TVs in the bar were showing the weather coverage. It's not like people were unaware if the situation. There were at least 6 tornadoes in the area during this storm. O'hare (literally across the street) evacuated everyone because the threat was that real. I could see spinning clouds out my room window. And staff was entirely unconcerned with guest safety and continued on as usual. read more

Checked in around 6pm after a flight crew came in. Service was quick! The girl behind the desk was super nice. She informed me that the aloft hotel charged 24 dollars a day for unlimited access to their section of the garage. That came out to 50 dollars for the two days. I have no choice but to use this parking lot and now I find that it's a charge? They should really advertise that before hand, it felt a little out of the blue and didn't make the next issues any better. (If they do advertise it I haven't noticed) The first thing I did was take a shower. They have full bottles of Dry Bar shampoo, conditioner and body wash attached to the walls. Very nice. Until I was already in the shower when I realized my bottle of body wash was basically empty. I go to call the front desk for more soap and towels. I dial zero and the phone doesn't connect. I call front desk via cell phone. I ask for new soap and 2 more towels (the floor totally gets soaked after each shower.) I left to pick up my bf and on the way out I inform front desk and she tells me she thinks they already did. I just left? They have not which is why I'm at the front desk. When we got back the soap was filled but no towels... no problem I ended up calling the next day for them. The tv is basic cable, it's an LG but it doesn't have Netflix or Hulu or anything else much too offer which is fine if you're planning to actually be out inside of a lazy weekend in. The pool was open and so was the gym! There's a bar and a pool table which I wish we would have used. They state that vaccinated guess can walk around mask-free but unvaccinated people cannot. (However they don't have a system enforcing this.) Over all I might stay here again but next time I'll explore my options. read more

Picked for convenience and for price and because I've had good experiences at different ALofts in multiple cities for work. (I knew what to expect) EVERYONE was pleasant - attentive and went above & beyond to help us and ensure we had everything we needed. I can't put my finger on it but there's a vibe that sets this hotel & staff apart. My sister, niece and I enjoyed our stay immensely! read more

DO NOT STAY HERE - INFESTED WITH WASPS I got to my room after a long flight, laid in bed to unwind a little and felt a sharp pain on my back. I had been stung by a wasp. I looked around the room and noticed every wall was crawling with wasps. Horrifying, disgusting, dangerous. When I brought it up with the management downstairs the only thing they offered in compensation was a single breakfast. Absolutely unacceptable. It was OK for the price. The location is great, particularly if you're doing anything at the convention center. But the rooms are dingy, there's really no place to sit, and the bed was really uncomfortable. Also there's no breakfast, and you're at the far end of things compared to other places. There are better hotels closer to the center, with better amenities, but you're also paying for that. If your plan is to come to Chicago and just use your room as a place to grab some sleep and take a shower, then this is perfect - you'll save some money. But for families, or for people who like to hang out in their hotel room, pick something with nicer and bigger rooms. read more

Definitely a "swanky" feeling hotel. It has a futuristic/modern feel to it with a very relaxing atmosphere with mood lighting throughout that building. The rooms are set up in a non-traditional way that bring a different feel to the room, but it felt like it was smaller than the typical room. The hotel and rooms were really clean with a very nice smell to them. The bed was SUPER comfortable. I did order food and the front desk would not allow them up, but did call me instead. That's good, as they're keeping the building secure. The staff was also awesome and very friendly! The one thing that would be on the more "negative" side, and it may be minor to one person and major to another is that they have more of a panel style drape than a cloth drape. It doesn't block light coming in from the sides, the the room was a little more "bright" at night than desired, but the comfort of the bed made up in the end with a good nights rest. The only reason this is not a one star review is that the location is relatively close to Ohare for early am flights. I am lifetime Titanium, like to mention that; as Marriott "protocol" is for the front desk to acknowledge "my greatness" :). In reality it is a nice gesture and the offer of a bottle of water, etc. Here, I got nothing; not even a polite greeting. Room: Not bad, relatively small, but doable for a one night stay. Would be pretty tight for 2 or more people. Location: Loud as F. There are drunks in the hallway and outside. I was relatively high up, but overlooking the front entrance. Hard time to fall asleep, as the noise was non stop. Overall: Would not stay here again, too expensive for what little room you get and lack of good service. read more

Even told them that we were appalled that they charged $23 for parking in a FREE PARKING GARAGE and they would not even respond. Beware of this hotel and go elsewhere. 11:50PM I call to ask which exit on the tram do I need to exit to catch the shuttle Front desk representative: Oh you just missed our 11:45 shuttle. Please just wait by door 3. I get to door 3 at 11:55 under the assumption that the next shuttle will arrive at 12:15 as advertised every 30 min. 12:20 I message on their online chat to ask if the shuttle is coming and no answer. 12:38 I call to ask where the shuttle is. Oh we will send a driver. "the shuttle is complimentary at this hour"... Well you would have known if you checked your chat, which I still haven't received a response and would have put two and two together when you told me that I just missed the bus that perhaps another guest is waiting to be picked up. I'll just stay at the Hilton that's connected to the airport. It's not been an hour and I am still waiting for this shuttle. read more

I enjoyed my 3 day stay. Close to O"hare airport and the Rosemont Center. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. My room was clean with a comfortable layout. TV remote was user friendly. No issues! Room amenities included Coffee machine, complimentary bottled water, and a good quality iron & board. I have ruined enough nice shirts using old irons and stained boards at other hotels. Problem free this visit. I was onsite for 2 full days for meetings which included breakfast and lunch. breakfast was adequate. Each morning we were served scrambled eggs. Bacon, sausage, potatoes. Mixed fruit and assorted breads and beverages. Served warm and edible. Lunch assorted wraps, lasagna, Salads & Deserts. All Staff was friendly and helpful answering my questions. Free airport shuttle running every 15 and 45 minute after the hour. They will shuttle you to other nearby attractions if you ask. Bar and snack area in lobby. read more

This hotel overall was nice! The staff was helpful and friendly and we loved that our dog stayed free!! They have a little movie room (played Tropic Thunder while we were there). Parking was $23 per night with in-out privileges, but we weren't charged so that was actually amazing. Also, free water bottle in the hotel room! I like that they cut down on plastic by using refillable shampoo and soap dispensers in the showers, but unfortunately it's a combination shampoo/conditioner in one which I don't use because of my colored hair. So I was glad I brought my own products. My only complaints are not modifiable: the hotel is really hard to get in and out of, and the parking garage is inconveniently located across the street (skywalk access). The price of the room is fair, the parking is cheaper than anywhere else I've seen, and being truly pet- friendly by not charging $75-120 per night like most other hotels in the area make this property one my husband and dog Max would be very glad to return to! read more

Always trying to stay at the PDX location, I was excited to see there was an Aloft in the Rosemont area (an otherwise hellish cookie cutter planned commercial area full of dull, boring business hotels and expensive places to drunkenly embarrass one's self in front of customers or colleagues). I quickly booked a room for the week I was staying. Unfortunately as soon as I arrived, my expectations were quickly disappointed. There were broken things in room, like the cord for the blinds and a tear in the blinds themselves. There was also a weird smell in the room, a mix of musty/oily. The shower drain was really slow as well. The wireless was spotty as well - at times fast enough for work, but at other times it would drop out. I ate breakfast in the lobby every morning, and all 5 mornings no one at either the front desk or in the little cafe greeted me. Although it's a budget option where it's located, I can't really recommend this particular Aloft. read more
